If no one's answering the door, don't just go barging in. That gave me a scare. Good thing I locked the bathroom door, or else the staff would've seen me naked. Geez. It wasn't like I wasn't answering the door for the whole night. Was that your protocol? Two knocks, no answer, you'll just enter the room? Sans that incident, the location is great. The room is big enough.

its is a family staycation. the hotel is old so they need to change some of the furnitures and renovate the comfort rooms. staff are courteous and helpful. front desk staff needs a little improvement. but i admire the effort of bringing a small token to our room because of my birthday. i love the buffet breakfast. i probably recommend that they do something about the lobby. a new design perhaps. it needs magic. well still enjoyed my stay because of the food and view of manila bay.

Had an overnight stay at the deluxe room during the month of May. The hotel is classic and has a really good breakfast buffet. Security is also very good and the location is convenient. Lots of convenience stores nearby and a short walk to Robinsons Manila. The room was big and so was the bathroom. The bathtub I think would be able to fit Filipino people comfortably. Complete amenities: toiletries, robes, wi-fi, hairdryer as well as the morning paper. My only problem was it took 2 hours to check... Read more

We had a hard time getting to the hotel because of a Dutarte rally at a nearby park. When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a Premier floor so that was nice. We had a lovely view of the harbour. The room was fine - not really our style but clean. The bed was in the center of the room and then there was about 4 feet behind it until you got to the window - an odd setup. However, don't let that age mislead you, even if you can see some signs of it being old already, you will not suffer smelling moldy floors and stinky cigarette-smelling rooms. We were here for a business meeting. The staff were excellent in providing customer service and went out of their way to make sure we would want for nothing. The function rooms on the 27th floor were comfortable, had big windows that provided natural light. Highly recommended for business meetings and events.

We stayed here for a couple nights just to try this out. I love the the spacious lobby, the dining or restaurant, love our room too - reminds me of our 2nd home- hotel in Hongkong. I also love the room service - the simple section on the Menu! Their Carbonara really impressed - I would really go back here if I'd like to have a carbonara day again! Everything is just lovely except that somehow the people in the lobby and the receiption are a little bit slow, and are not mindful of their gu... Read more

I spent three nights in Diamond Hotel Manila. The hotel staff is very nice bit apart from this my experience was negative.I took an executive room,on 26th floor and the bathroom was not in line with executive room standards:very small and old.I had access to executive lounge at 25th floor for free breakfast, free drinks at night, and free coffe and snacks during daytime. What a shameful lounge it is:they serve " hot" white wines to guest, the selections of free wines is limited to a very cheap Chille... I booked for a club room and had access at the club lounge for cocktails. During cocktail hour, they ran out of beef medallion and it was really good and tender. It was 15mins until closing time and I asked if they were still refilling beef. They weren't supposed to refill anymore but the lady at the counter asked the chef and the chef gladly made a whole new batch for me. Talk about going out of their way to deliver excellent service. Definitely coming back. #diamondhotelMNL

I stayed at the Diamond Hotel for several months so I saw the service regularly and got beyond the cordial greetings of the personnel. It's difficult for a hotel to always be excellent but the Diamond was -- and that excellence was due to an exceptional staff, and not just a few but everyone. Ms. Wendy was one of the best room attendants I've ever had in hotels all over the world. Chefs Odie and Erika at the Club were beyond good; Yurakuen was a superb Japanese restaurant and Corniche served mor... Read more

I enjoyed my stay in DIAMOND HOTEL. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. I recommend staying in a corner room in the upper floors because it is more quiet and peaceful, plus it gives a better view of the outside. The breakfast buffet was festive and sumptuous as there are many choices of food to choose from. There??s also a gym and a swimming pool. The hotel staff is also friendly and courteous. I like almost everything in this hotel, except that while my husband and I were swimming ... Read more

It??s our first time to stay in a hotel near the bay area and we??re supposed to get a deluxe room. Eventually, we accepted the offer to try the newly renovated premier rooms - ended up opting not to move to the deluxe room the next day. We particularly enjoyed the view of Roxas Boulevard and Manila Bay. Perhaps the view on the other rooms would be the same except when the nearby Ramon Magsaysay Center serves as an obstruction. Also a plus is the access to the upper restaurant. Selection is l... Read more

This hotel in located in the middle of what looks like a slum area of Manila. The security on entry complete with sniffer dogs suggests the area is very dangerous. Check was a mixture of insulting and annoying - as was the instance on photocopying our passports and paying a large deposit (even though the rooms were prepaid by cc) - which tells everything about its guests (can't be trusted). Perhaps most ridiculous and hypercritical of all is the insistence of dress code at breakfast when pro... Read more

this hotel has been our consistent venue of choice whenever we conduct international events and local ones with foreign guests. its main hall can hold hundreds of participants at one time and can be served with luscious meals by very efficient staff. its sound system is state of the art and the airconditioning never fails. diamond hotel will always give you,if not surpass, what you have expected.

I stayed here on business and the staff were very friendly. I was told no shorts/tank tops and flip flops in the dinning area which I thought was excessive at first but it was a reasonable request. The buffet breakfast and dinner was overflowing with choices and all very tasty. The gym was small but had everything you needed providing no more than 4 people were there. The spa was a little tired but empty because of it - jacuzzi, stream room and sauna. I got a massage which was average but reasona... Read more

Remember the poem about the girl: "When she was good, she was very, very good. But when she was bad, she was horrid"? That applies to Diamond Hotel. First the good: The employees are incredible. Not a single complaint about any of the staff. We watched them respond to a demanding American; and the staff remained courteous and professional. The were attentive to our needs and wants, even anticipating questions before we knew how to ask. Now for the "Horrid": Where do I start? We called for a rese... Read more

I often come here with my family because i bought their Diamond Indulgence card. For 7,000 pesos or 130 dollars, you can have 2 rooms for only 7000 pesos to be used any day of the year, you are also entitled to several dining certificates at 50% off. I bought the said card ( membership card named diamond indulgence which you can order at their lobby, to be delivered at your given address by mail) for three successive years and i can say i am satisfied with their service. The Diamond hotel is a very good hotel considering the quality of services and the price. Its located near to Robinson Mall and near the sea side. I found the room very comfortable and clean. The staff is very professional and warm with all guest. The restaurant doesn't offer many choices of local food but you can definitively enjoy several varieties of international food. One of the good things is that you have two USB connections on the wall.

My company booked a stay here for work for a week. Location is decent, right across from Manila Bay. Lots of money changers and restaurants (and red light district) in the back area of the hotel. A lot of tour groups book here, so lobby is always full of people and buses. Rooms are a bit dated, but friendly house keeping staff. Breakfast service was sub-par. Sandals required. Omlet station forgot my order. The breakfast selection was decent.

So my husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights because we came from Chicago, I was still adjusting my time. I still couldn't sleep the second night so at 4:30ish I decided to go outside and maybe go to Mcdonald's to buy a breakfast. Soon as I went downstairs, the security person approached me and asked me to go to the reception and have a verification. I was wearing shorts, t shirt, no make-up and flip flops. I asked why but then I still went to the reception to verify because I just di... Read more
