Hotel is in a good location but it seems old already. One advantage of staying here is that is close to the Airport, Damosa and SM Lanang. Room is average. Bed is small. If your room is at the upper floors, you will get to see Davao City. The hotel offers free WiFi but slow connection and I always get disconnected for some reason. Good stay overall but quite expensive.

The hotel is located along Davao Main street, it also has the Pagcor Casino. Hotel lobby is very cool and check in was fast. It has free airport pick up shuttle service as it is not far from the airport. The rooms are regular in size and looks renovated, but still has a lot of the old stuffs. There is amenities like bathroom amenities, but charges for tooth brush. Upon entry, there was only one pillow per bed, and you have to call housekeeping to get the other pillow. There is free breakfast on... Read more

This hotel is nice. But as you enter, you will immediately feel that it is old. The interior design, the furniture, everything screams "70's"! However, you'd appreciate the fusion of modernity and technology every once in a while. The staff are very nice though. But the food! Well... You'll know what I mean...

We had a business function in davao and booked our accommodation as well as the function room in Grand Regal. I was impressed about the number of functions and/or activities booked there! i thought that maybe this is an old hotel and won't offer much but yes..the food is good, the staff and crew are very very accommodating and magalang.. This hotel is very commendable for official businesses or to those who are looking for a hotel with function rooms..The rooms are spacious with the samal island... Read more

We stayed at this hotel because of the casino located here. The staff at all levels were excellent, however that is where the buck stops. The hotel itself is old , dirty and tired. The room was terrible, weak air conditioning, foam rubber pillows. Bathroom was mouldy. Breakfast was mediocre. I rarely rate a hotel this bad, but in this case it is justified. It is sad that the fantastic staff have an inferior product to work with. There are many better hotels in Davao for the same or even less mo... Read more

We stayed here for a friend's wedding. I don't know if there is a problem with the 2 rooms that we got or thats how the lighting is set up. The rooms are dark! There is only light from the lampshades.

Beautiful hotel but needs more updating and more detail cleaning, not regular room cleaning. Shower in my room had a broken faucet and I wasn't able to control the water temperature. Also the stopper in the sink was not connected and I had to pull it up completely to allow the sink to drain. It was yucky. Lots of beautiful stone work throughout the hotel so they may still be in the process of renovations. Much more basic updating needs to be done. The charm and beauty of this hotel is well worth... Driving up the driveway towards the main drop off area, you'd think that the Grand Regal Hotel would be awesome and fabulous. As soon as you step down from the vehicle, however, you'll realize that it will never be awesome and fabulous. The guards do not greet you and the staff do not even bother looking you in the eye. I forgot something in my luggage which had already been deposited at the luggage room and they simply asked me to come in and look for my bag. I didn't even have to present an ID... Read more

I have been to this hotel a quite numerous times to attend seminars. This times it was for a conference. The hotel's location is quite far from the city center. It cost me mire than a hundred pesos from the inland terminal. The facade of the hotel was imposing because of its height. The staff are very accommodating. I went directly to the breakfast buffet venue at the second floor. The food choices are great I enjoyed the breakfast. With my conference companion we proceeded to the lobby on the ... Read more

I booked this hotel for only around $80/night. (I think it was a promo. But the normal price is around $90-95 anyway.) It came with free buffet breakfast, access to their pool, gym and sauna, and a nice 34-sq-m room with bathtub, cable LED tv, big desks and a bedside lights control center (which I really liked). For hotels with these features, you wouldn't usually get it at anything lower than $150. I think it's because it's not as downtown as the other hotels but it's near the airport, at a hig... Read more

This hotel has seen better times. It is not awful, and provides comfortable accommodation but considering its rates, we expect more. The faucet knobs are corroded and scaled. There were no towels and toilet paper when we entered the room and had to repeatedly request for it. The sink was also clogged. I will not come back if I had the choice.

The hotel is old but yet clean the staff is very nice and professional they have a casino restaurant swimming pool and free breakfast buffet , you have to catch a Taxi get downtown , no convenience stores in walking distance. Hotel needs updating they have some type of master control panel switch for the lights and air conditioning if you cut the lights off in the entranceway the TV will go off. had to call maintenance to run a drop cord so the TV would stay on without the lights on which was v...
