This was our rendezvous hotel for a group tour and seemed to be used mainly for that purpose by several tour groups. Staff are very good and the hotel is comfortable and in a very good, safe location - 5 min walk to the beach by Park Del Amor. Try to get a room overlooking one of the two inner courtyards - rooms on Ave Grau are a little noisy

The staff at the Antigua Miraflores are all very friendly and helpful. This is s charming hotel with unique decor and spacious comfortable rooms. The Pisco Sours are delicious as is everything we tried in the restaurant. It's located in an area with easy walking to many attractions in Miraflores and the staff are happy to provide maps and advice for excursions in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

There is a well tended garden which attracts humming birds, blue birds and other bird life. It is located in a nice safe area of Lima a short stroll from the seafront. Hotel came as part of our tour package, in a safe neighborhood, could walk for dinner and coffee, Unfortunately we were in a room with twin beds so small we kept on hitting or feet on the bed frames, Had to ask the front desk for the AC controls. Quiet, but the windows opened onto a central coutyard with a loud fountain and all the other room windows. With the AC controls could close the windows. Wifi is better in the lobby. After staying in Central Lima-- this hotel was the best thing ever! The rooms are large and very clean. It is also located in a great area to walk to Parque de Amor and other cute restaurant. Their pisco sour bar is a great place to gather and head out. They have over 20 different types of infused pisco which is great! It is a little pricey but worth the good nights rest. The staff are awesome - very good with helping you navigate the city. Room service wasn't the best. One face cloth was supposed to last 2 people several days without being refreshed. Antigua is a boutique hotel, with a really nice and friendly atmosphere , but I had some caveats. The rooms in the top floor (four floors, no elevator) have a skylight that can´t be darkened - what means waking up really early in the morning. Also the bathrooms, altough cozy, are really small, and the fridge, really old.

We stayed here 3 times during our time in Peru. We booked this hotel as it was the starting point of our G Adventures tour however we have become very attached to this beautiful hotel. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly the breakfast is really nice, the ruins are comfortable and we cannot speak highly enough of the bar staff. In our almost 4 weeks in Peru the best Pisco Sours have been at the Antigua. The guys being the bar make a mean Pico sour, delicious snacks and amazing ... Read more

This hotel is located on the quiet street with beautiful courtyard. We stayed at this hotel fore three nights, and staffs are very friendly and helpful. You can walk to the beach area or downtown area of Mira Flores. Only thing I would like to suggest is the blanket... kind of old fashion... it can be set more modern look.

This hotel has charm, is well located in Miraflores, is comfortable and very well run. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It is walking distance to many interesting sights and restaurants. Across the street is the superb Marchand, French/Peruvian restaurant. The staff is excellent. The front desk was exceptionally friendly and efficient. They were always ready to help with calling a taxi, reserving a restaurant, booking a city tour, and even getting us to the Anglo Am... Arrived at this hotel and the front desk was so very helpful with maps, calling cabs, negotiating the fee with them for us, and giving us general info. Nice breakfast. Nice towels. Good mattress. Nice room. A bit dated but acceptable. Only 4 stars because super noisy from the front street traffic. Over all a good stay.

Old world charm in a very trendy area of Lima. The building is a restored late-1800s mansion with a unique atmosphere that makes you feel like youâ??re almost in another time. The room was large and clean and the breakfast buffet had everything youâ??d want. There is also an historic bar inside the hotel. I recommend trying a pisco sour or one of the several different pisco flavors. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for something with unique character not found in chain hotels.

I very much enjoyed this hotel. Clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly and comfortable communal areas to relax with a nice wood burning stove (essential in winter). It is a sprawling building and no elevators but the staff are very friendly. I enjoyed breakfast with Peruvian specialities.

I selected Antigua Miraflores Hotel for the first two days of my Peru stay because of its unique colonial atmosphere and location away from the busy-ness of the main streets of Miraflores. It is located about ~8 minute walk from Parque Kennedy and main thoroughfare, Avenidas Jose Larco. I had a standard twin room with window to the courtyard. The standard twin rooms are small, with just enough space for the two twin beds, an armoire and a small night stand. I found the room to be a little dimme... Read more

Deceptive from the street because it looks small. However the building goes on for quite way inside. Small bar with drinks prepare with attention to detail. Glass s iced then drained so as not to warm the beverage. Meals ordered from the bar all got great reviews. A quirk about the safe in our room. There was no marking on the safe key but it required a specific side to be the top, the key is inserted parallel to the shelf. If you have the wrong side up the lock will not turn. we stay three nights in this hotel "de charme" and we found a nice atmosphere, in a residential area. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. As I'm in a wheelchair, I did'nt get any problem to up in down entrance steps, even if a direct access is available by the back of the hotel. The ground floor room # 102 is accessible with bath. Unfortunately, it's located opposite to public toilets for ladies. It's very inconvenient and noisy from 5:00 am to midnight !!! How to get a good rest ? I would ... Read more

Our stay at this hotel was excellent! It was just gorgeous to start with. I felt completely safe within the walls of this hotel and at home. Our room was grand, housing a queen bed and two other beds. There was not a dividing wall but what I would call a half wall that gave privacy between the queen bed and the other two beds. The last thing I'll mention is the water pressure in their shower is amazing!! Better than mine at home! I highly recommend this hotel.

This place was picked by our tour company. It has a lot of character and is an easy walk to many nice places in Miraflores like parks and squares. A little farther from the beach, but totally walkable. And it is close to money changers and grocery stores depending on how long you plan on staying in Lima. Rooms are a little small, but the whole place is quaint. Front desk staff speak English. Breakfast is OK.

What can I say about this hotel. The service was good and the location was terrific. The bar area was great - however I found the rooms to be tired. I'm fed up of poor light so that you can barely read. We thought we had taken the appropriate plugs however the seemed to use totally different power points so we had to go and get some other adapters. The breakfast was good and the place was neat and tidy. FYI there are no lifts so if you have heavy luggage.....

Our room was spacious and comfortable although some of the other rooms looked small. Spent a few days in Lima with a friend and we loved our time at the Antigua Miraflores Hotel. The space is beautiful, the staff was so attentive, and the breakfast was wonderful. Conveniently located in the neighborhood of Miraflores, we were able to walk to a number of great restaurants and cafes. Hotel staff helped us to call taxis to visit anywhere not within walking distance. A great experience!

We added a night to our stay in Lima as we wanted to come in a day early for a group trip. Not only did this hotel have charm but many thoughtful amenities that make traveling easy. We enjoyed a buffet breakfast with fresh juices, drinking water in our room with more if needed in the hallway. There was a safe in the room and a comfortable bed. Maybe most impressive was the service we received from the front desk clerks, the luggage attendants, and the wait staff in the dining area.

Having read the reviews I was somewhat apprehensive when we arrived. As mentioned there was a musty smell in the room. Don't let this put you off and don't do what we did and say something to the front desk. They sent a guy up who sprayed the bathroom with the strongest overpowering 'air freshener', which made the problem worse! However, we discovered the hard way that if you leave all the windows open all day, the smell isn't too bad after all. Reasons for staying is the location, the ambiance... Read more

Stayed at start and end of business trip to Peru/Bolivia. First time, had a room overlooking the courtyard which was nice and quiet. Second time, had a room at the back of the hotel (above the restaurant) which, while bigger, did suffer from traffic noise. Hotel food was decent, staff responsive, and the Pisco sours are fantastic. The mattress wasn't quite as comfortable as it might have been, but the property itself is interesting in its own right. The public areas are well conceived, the courtyard outside our room with the fountain was an added bonus, the breakfast was good. The porter seemed to be everywhere as soon as he was needed for anything. Location is excellent. A gift shop has a good variety of items to purchase if that is a need. Complementary shoe shines are included.

I don't have any other local hotels for comparison, but this seems to be a reasonable choice of places to stay. I got a discount on the room because I was part of a group. There is no aircondtioning in the room so I left my room window open for cooler air, but this means you hear street noises.
