Pronounced "Sappy" rather than "Saffy", the Tierra Viva hotel on Calle Saphi is a short walk away from the centre of Cusco. The rooms are both on the ground and first floor, set around a cute colonial Spanish style courtyard. The conversion from hacienda to hotel has been done sympathetically. I had a wonderful experience during my final days in Cusco at this property tucked away on Calle saphi. Very professional and modern rooms with great showers and a pretty little courtyard. Lovely breakfast service and hot tea selection in the lobby

I stayed at Tierra Viva Cusco Saphi for three nights in April 2016. in two separate visits. When we first arrived, after dark, the street looked sufficiently unappealing that we didn't go out anywhere the first evening. But once you get inside, and after you can walk around in daylight (it gets dark early in Cusco), you will be more than satisfied.
