Terra Viva was perfect for our three nights in Cusco. The rooms were comfortable. And the staff went out of their way to help us multiple times. From booking transport, scoring us an additional space heater, to recommending awesome restaurants; they service was impeccable.

This place embodies everything a hotel should be. The rooms were great, but the personal service was even better! The front desk folks really take a personal interest in your well-being and go out of their way to satisfy all of your preferences and desires.

We booked this hotel directly online ‚?? a very quick and easy process. They required a very small deposit which was paid by credit card. On arrival, we were expected and the check-in process was very efficient. We were shown to our room but the room did not have a bath as per our booking, but this was just a minor hiccup. The manager showed us another room which we could inspect and approve before accepting, and this was a much larger room with a shower and bath and a MASSIVE bed! The ro... Read more

One more of the Tierra Viva Hotels in Peru. The receptionists are always very nice and to help their guests with tips of places. Normally they are good located and closer from main attractions. We stayed there in both cities (Lima and Cuzco). Enjoy your trip!

We stayed in two hotels in Cusco, one before Machu Picchu and one after. This hotel was our second and while the bed was comfy the location wasn't as good as the first hotel we'd stayed. The walkway to the room from reception was very dark but then there was a light over our door that shined into our room all night. There is a clear glass window over the door with no way to block the light. There isn't much sound proofing as we could hear a nearby band and the upstairs guests stomping around... Read more

Check in was quick, the staff were helpful with our bags, and helped us with any additional questions. The breakfast was not my favourite and I had contacted the hotel in advance to request soya milk, but it was only arranged for one day of my 3 day stay. There was also no mirror in the room. The room was clean, and there is a beautiful courtyard to enjoy the sun in. The wifi was not the fastest either. The staff were very friendly and everyone spoke excellent english.

Stayed only two nights, recommended by a friend. A very nice place to stay either for shorter or for a longer period. Clean rooms, comfortable, very cool design of the inner side of the hotel with the open space, good breakfast. People are just fantastic, waking up, helping out with scheduling, reservations, baggage, literally, anything, one needs to have a good stay. A right choice.

Tierra viva hotels are a little pricier than average, but we were very happy with our stay at this hotel. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. It also has a pretty courtyard. We also stayed at the TV San Blas, but much preferred the location of this hotel, which is only a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas.

Exceptional more than 5 star service was alone at the hotel for 4 days while my husband was on a trek. Staff took responsibility for further bookings or personal requests more like being at home for security and well being. Good location dont even consider another hotel if visiting Cusco and affordable price makes top of list for travelling to Cusco

Everything you read about this hotel is totally true. First visit was a 5 star one, but on the 2nd not so great. We got a room near the disco next door, and they played loud music till 5am. The following morning the front desk said to call them when the disco is too loud, and they will call the police. But I cant imagine anybody in the area(lots of buildings close together) knowing that not calling Anyways, great room, great staff and a special mention for Luis at the front desk. He is great

We found the Tierra Viva Cusco Centro hotel on Trip Advisor and stayed there on a recent trip to Cusco. We were extremely pleased with our choice! The hotel staff we very accommodating and helpful with all of our questions and requests for recommendations on tours, restaurants, etc. We were able to leave our bags with them while we hiked the Inca Trail and, upon returning, they had already put them in our rooms for us - something we were very excited about considering how tired we were at that p... We stayed at this excellent hotel just two weeks ago. All the staff were very nice, friendly and accomodating. My husband experienced altitude sickness and they readily provided us with oxygen tank. They also gave us directions and recommendations where to go. The room was big and clean. I love the simple breakfast; they even prepared a 'to go' breakfast when we had to leave early for our 2-day Inca Trek. I think it had the best location in the city. I wish we can come back soon to Cusco and... Read more

We stayed at Tierra Viva Cusco Central for 5 nights in May 2016. This is a wonderful hotel: well-located (an easy 10-minute walk to the Plaza de Armas); knowledgeable, helpful, and very efficient staff; good rooms; good public areas; and a wonderful buffet breakfast. We enjoyed visiting with tourists from around the world. There was no problem leaving our luggage there while we took a two-day tour of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We stayed at Tierra Viva Cusco Centro after 3N/4D Machu Picchu tour in June 2016 for one night. Our room was extremely clean/comfortable and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. After we checked out next morning, we had to stay in Cusco all day + evening because we had to take a night bus to Puno. They were very understanding of this and said that we're very welcome to spend time in the hotel lobby drinking tea/use their wifi if we get tired of exploring the city-- since we were exh... I stayed here for a few days in June and July 2016 and it was a great time. The staff there was excellent and my room was very nice. Super location, close to the main square. They held my bag after I checked out which was nice. Also, (and this may seem silly) but the front desk people always had a bottle opener. This came in handy when I came back to the hotel with a bottle of beer. So there's that. Great stay!

Tierra Viva Centro is located in a great spot. Within minutes you can get to the Plaza de Armas, the Centro Artesanal, San Pedro Market etc. The staff is very helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. We had 2 rooms and one was on the small side, we asked to change and they immediately accommodated us (even after having spent one night in the smaller room). Although I only stayed one night, this hotel was really lovely. Not only was the setting stunning, but our room was incredible. Very spacious with all we needed, and I particularly appreciated the special eco touch that they try and save energy by only washing towels every two days. It was so easy to book which meant no lengthy check in or out, which was very pleasant. My work iPad was STOLEN from our room. Staff at the hotel refused to help us and after waiting over an hour to talk to a manager who also refused to help we ended up having to call the police. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH ANY VALUABLES LARGER THAN THE SIZE OF A SMALL SAFETY BOX.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The whole ambience of the building was warm and beautiful. The rooms were spacious, showers were strong and hot and the heating was good. The king sized bed was the biggest we have ever slept in - really comfy and good pillows. Coca Tea and Coffee was available on each level for normal rooms. We booked this hotel based upon the reviews of others. Yes, the rooms are spacious. Yes, the beds are enormous. Yes, the breakfast is plentiful and varied. Yes, there is plenty of hot water and a bath. However, all these positive things were overshadowed by our negative experience of the reception desk. We arrived after a long day travelling (a 10 hour train journey) and then waited an hour to check in because, unsurprisingly, many others had also arrived on the same train as us and also... Similar to what you might expect in a ski resort or general alpine town. Cosy, comforting (as well as comfortable), with hot drinks - coca tea - consistently available to combat altitude sickness. Breakfast is accommodating, starting before 5am allowing early morning departures for Machu Picchu hikes to fill up on fodder, while the hotel will happily hold your baggage for the days you're in the Andes trekking (for us, it was 5 days we didn't have to drag around 3-week's worth of clothes). While in Cusco we stayed at the Tierra Viva Cusco Centro Hotel, before and after a trek on the Inca Trail. This hotel was great and I highly recommend it. A big advantage to this hotel was that it was only 1.5 blocks from the guide service office, Wayki Trek. This made it convenient to stop there several times to make final arrangements and attend the pre-trip briefing. Our flight arrived in Cusco at ~10AM and we were at the hotel by ~11 AM. Also, staff are able to speak in english and were very kind and attentive to ours needs: ordering a cab , giving directions or making a dinner reservation.
