We stayed here a couple of nights and were very pleased with the staff, the amenities and the location. We were within a few minutes' walk of the plaza and many of the sights we visited. Clean, spacious rooms, good food--and they provide cocoa tea in the lobby as a way to help you become acclimated to the altitude. One warning though--make sure you sleep with the window closed, as the street noise can get a little intense throughout the evening and early morning.

Three nights at the San Agustin Plaza was a very pleasant experience. Friendly staff, impeccably clean, good food. Street facing room was a bit noisy. Perfect location to walk Cusco. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Walking distance from the Plaza de Armas and across the street from Qori Kancha. Great location and great service! Cocoa tea is available at all times for altitude sickness prevention. Comfortable rooms and breakfast is included in the fee.

After going to one of the other San Augustin hotels in Cusco (there are 3) which was the result of a booking mix up. We were re-located to the Plaza, staff at both hotels could not do enough to help us! Maria even came with us in the taxi! The service didn't stop there either, after I had spent a whole morning trying to book our trip to Macchu Pichu, Maria arranged for one of the receptionists to take us in a taxi to get our tickets! They certainly went 'the extra mile'. Highly recommend this ho... Read more

Noisy , my room was facing a karaoke place which it holds competitions every night. Just imagine, the singing plus the fights. The hotel fail 3 times tom wake us and we almost miss the trips. The hotel service at the front desk does not do their job well. I found under the bed some old rice from some old food of who knows.

Basic toiletries provided (no shower gel but soap bar and no toothbrush or ) Heater is in the room as Cusco is cold in the morning and night. Simple no frills hotel. They have free flow of coca tea to help with altitude sickness. There is a lovely cafe next door which items late n serve good food, yummy lemonade and dessert!! I ate there 2 nights in a row.

The hotel here is located a good 10 min walk from the main square of Cuzco. But that isn't a problem at all. The rooms are nicely set out with free WiFi available. Staff are friendly and always out to lend a hand. If you are suffering from altitude sickness the hotel does offer coca tea. A very nice hotel will visit again! :) thanks

We spent 4 days and 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by very pleasant front desk staff. Jorge, the wonderful Bell Hop, helped us fill out papers, while sipping on hot Coca tea. Much appreciated after a long trip. All the staff were friendly, accommodating and yet professional. Front desk and restaurant staff spoke English. Our room was basic, CLEAN and had the hugest bed I've ever seen. The thick, crisp, white as white can be sheets were a treat. Lots of blan... Read more

Located across the street from what had bee the Sun temple on the Avenue of the Sun. Room not fancy but functional. good for 3 star hotel and clean. breakfast was good not great. Easy to walk and see the sights. close to airport when getting ready to leave. Bathroom has ll the needed amenities. safe in room if needed. Try and get room that doe not face the ave el sol if you want quiet before 11 pm.

The room had everything for a comfortable stay. It was not luxurious but very comfortable. There were only simple locks on the doors, but we felt safe anyway. The breakfast was very good. It was difficult to get boarding passes printed for the plane but the staff was incredibly kind. I certainly was pleased with the hotel and loved the location.

We highly recommend this hotel as it delivered in all the areas important for our stay. The hotel is centrally located and the rooms are spacious. The personnel were excellent as they helped us (a family of 3) with all our requests. All the gentlemen at the front and the front desk ladie (Claudie & Lidezca) went our of there way assisting us with directions, cabs, suggestions, etc.) The restaurant was great and breakfast surpassed our expectations. Great job! We will return and visit again!

This was a good clean hotel where with a 10 minute walk to the main plaza. We had rooms on the first floor, which were okay. I would recommend the 2nd floor and towards the main plaza side. Most restaurants are a short walk away.

We stayed here twice, for one night before a trip to Mach Picchu and again for two nights after. The location was perfect, less than a ten minute walk to the main plaza yet near many dining choices not filled with tourists. It was also a short walk to a large market for souvenir shopping. The rooms were not huge, but adequately sized. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of warm blankets for cool evenings. A space heater was also provided, but we didn't need it. The bathroom was spacious... Read more

I have spent several nights in this hotel in Cusco and I love it! The front desk staff is really nice and helpful, there's free coca tea 24/7, and the location is great. I find the bed really comfy and the room a really good size - not too big and not too small. Big windows. Great shower with lots of hotel water. Pretty extensive breakfast buffet and beautiful to sit overlooking quirikancha (?) and lawn on Av del Sol. Visit the textile museum/shop across the street!

We were on a group tour. Very NOISY bedrooms. a long continuous noise like an air raid shelter warning . i was told it was the water heating pump that went until about 2300 hours and then started up again when people started showering at about 0400am. we weren't prepared to put up with that; we wanted to sleep!!! so they moved us to another room which was slightly less noisy Next day i asked to be shifted again because i knew they would not be able to operate a hotel if all rooms were this nois... Spent 2 nights here while in Cusco, 5-10 minute walk to the main sqaure, Nice safe location, it is on the main road so some rooms may be noisy. Staff very helpful, plentiful breakfast, adequate room, clean and comfortable. Cocoa tea round the clock in the lobby. Would stay again.

One of the worst hotels ever. Even the great location in Ave El Sol did not salvage the situation. A couple of us spent a few nights here - all of us had to request that our rooms be changed again and again. This is definitely not 4* but rather 2*. Carpets are dirty and worn; towels were shredding and frayed; extremely noisy with Karaoke bar all night on one side and generators/ air conditioners on the other side. The front desk staff were of grave concern considering a cellphone (left beh... Read more

Although the location seemed good, on the main avenue to the central square & opposite the beautiful Convent of Santo Domingo, the noise from the volleyball court on one side, a nightclub on the other & the taxi rank in front caused most of our group to have sleepless nights. The only alternative was to have a room at the back overlooking another building! The furnishings, blankets & towels were all old & nasty! Having said that, the lobby was pleasant with many lovely antique pieces & the break... Read more

We stayed here on two different occasions. The rooms were an adequate size. It was an easy walk to nearby markets, plaza, tourist attractions, cathedrals, museums and restaurants. The inclusive Breakfast was fantastic, great variety. Felt safe with a security guard at the door greeting you.
