Thank you to Carla Zarate and management of This lovely hotel for helping us celebrate our birthday and anniversary in Cuzco??? with delucious tapas. Our suite room is on level 3 with our room facing the Sun Temple. Very Comfortable room with excellent amenities. Staff are helpful and breakfast is good as is the restaurant. Coca tea available in the room to energise you and combat altitude sickness. Location is impressive with everything at our fingertips: restaurants bars shopping main streets... Read more

This is my second time in Cusco, while the first time I stayed at the other Sonesta that was a bit on the outskirts of downtown area , this time I opted for the one that's in the heart of everything. First of all, the hotel had great location and it was close to pretty much everything i.e. Restaurant , shops, pharmacy, or travel agencies . The hotel is a bit old but everything was functioning and clean so on that end we didn't have any issue. The only downside to the hotel is that it's located ... Read more

Perfectly located behind the famous Plaza de Armas in Cusco, Sonesta Posadas del Inca provides you the unexpected service you'll ever have around the city! Everyone was very friendly. The guy who checked us in, Jorge, was very accommodating and understanding of our special situation. Another person who made us enjoyed our stay was Shoel, the server at the Inkafe, who spent a lot of time talking to us despite of language barrier. All of the staff were very friendly, too bad we didn't have enough ... Read more

The location is great and the front desk and people working are very nice and try to help . The rooms are dated and very dark and noisy , the lobby plays loud music and it's unbearable . This hotel should not have the Sonesta name . The hotel offers no AC yet you can't open a window bc the noise of the town is so loud . The rooms on the same floor as reception should not be used as rooms bc the noise is so bad . I would have left had I not been so tired . They need to refurbish this Motel and it... Read more

This hotel provided excellent customer service from arrival to departure. Our room had a spectacular view of the main plaza. The room was very nice, clean and the shower had hot water and good pressure - two things considered a luxury at other Cusco hotels we've stayed at! Breakfast was okay with a good selection. Just avoid peak times as the restaurant is very small. The hotel is centrally located so easy to walk to restaurants, shops and find taxis easily for sightseeing. We will definitely s... Read more

Great staff, great service, good location other that is not quiet at all, because it's right across some sort of restaurant that turns into a club late at night and it makes it almost impossible to sleep. But I think what caught us off guard and quite frankly pissed us off was the exchange rate and a ripoff on taxes. We were supposed to be tax exempt, that's the law for foreign nationals. However after we left, we were stuck with a bill which not only included the tax but also a made up exchang... Read more

Stated here twice with 3 people/3 beds - 3 nights before and 1 night after doing the Inca Trail hike. The first room was facing the plaza which was quite noisy, and freezing. The second room was a lot bigger and they gave us a space heater. Overall we were happy with our stay. Overall Good: location can't be beat. We were in central historical Cusco, able to walk to almost everything. Comfortable beds, lots of extra bedding for when t gets cold at night. Sheets and towels were clean, beds... Read more

The location can't be beat! The room was small and plain with a funky step up to enter the restroom. The water was ice cold the first night. The towels were cheap and we had to ask for more. Be careful walking thru the front door to avoid falling. For $230 per night I expected a really nice experience. Not so. They accused us of taking a Gatorade and would not believe us until the maid re- counted giving no apology.

Lovely hotel which has an enviable location just off the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff were great, they looked after our every need particularly Jorge who deserves the customer service badge of the year! W spent 4 nights here in advance of a 5 day trek and 2 nights upon returning so the hotel stored our luggage for us which was a godsend. Breakfast was great too. All in all very good hotel in an excellent location with brilliant staff. Well... Read more
