Great location, close to most everything. Third floor room gave wonderful view of the city, but a bit strenuous to get there for an older person as there is no elevator - better to get a first floor room instead.

I stayed here for a night, right after the Inka trek and this is right what I needed. A luxurious palatial feel to the corridors and rooms will transport you back to the times of the Incas. Had a pleasant stay, I ordered in room service - pasta and some dessert. Was good quality. Breakfast was served early and was a good spread. i enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend.

Gorgeous luxurious hotel. Marvelous breakfast (be sure to include with your rate) Rooms a bit noisy as in the square but a fabulous location. The lobby is very large and beautifully appointed. It was a monastery and they do offer tours on Fridays. Very convenient to walk everywhere. Cusco is a wonderful city. We both enjoyed the food, shopping and the history and culture. LOVED IT.

After reading the online reviews, I was very excited to stay at this hotel during my time in Cusco. Unfortunately, my expectations were definitely not met. First, let me say that the interior of the hotel is stunning and full of Peruvian charm, and the views are terrific. That's where the good stuff ended for me. My problems began during the check-in process. I was exhausted after a flight and several days in Machu Picchu, and wanted to get checked in quickly (it was way past normal check i... Read more

We spent two nights at Palacio del Inka and were delighted with the hotel: extremely comfortable, well-appointed rooms; excellent, friendly, helpful service; very good food; and all the amenities. The hotel kept much of our luggage for a couple of days while we traveled to Machu Picchu and the surrounding area, then returned to the hotel for a final night before our departure -- very helpful!

Stayed at the property with Gate 1 tours. Fast check in and friendly staff. Great location. Great bed and pillows. Safe and mini bar in room. Very nice spa. Great selection at the buffet breakfast and the server takes your order for the eggs, etc. Good service at the bar and there is also a bar menu for food. Only complaint is my room faced the ruins (great view) but there is a walking street and at night with people walking and talking, it was noisy. Also, there is a disco one block awa... Read more

This was one of six 5 star hotels we stayed in in Peru and was by far the best. Although it is older, it is beautiful inside. The staff helpful and friendly. And there was a wonderful smell when you entered the lobby; I don't know if it was from all the unlit candles or some other source, but it was most pleasant. There was always a variety of tea available in the lobby. There was sufficient free bottled water in the rooms. WIFI free only in the lobby. The room was a decent size. There i... Read more

We can say the usual about this hotel, after all it is a luxury hotel in a privileged location, in front of Quoricacha, one of the main attractions in Cusco and a short walk from the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are beautifully decorated, even the basic ones, the beds are extremely comfortable, the breakfast is excellent (specially when taken in one of the courtyards, watching the morning sun come up), the service (concierge, front desk, restaurants...) is in general very good,... we can go on an... Unfortunately we only stayed here 1 night since we were transiting through Cusco on the way back from Machu Picchu. However, we wished we could have stayed another few nights. After a long train ride and taxi to the hotel, we were warmly greeted and our bags were taken. We sat on a comfy sofa during the check-in process. The rooms were average size (booked a standard room). It might be because we were exhausted, but we slept so well. The next day we had a very nice breakfast (paid) and mad... Read more

One of the most luxurious hotels in Cusco, the Palacio del Inka is a hotel perfectly located. Big rooms and perfect service. Great to stay here prior going to Machu Picchu. Their breakfast is really good. It offers usual breakfast plates mixed with local food.

Wow. This place was incredible. From staying in a room that was several hundred years old, but with modern touches, to the coca tea welcome, this place is truly a unique experience. The staff were so helpful and nice. I highly recommend staying here a couple of nights before going up to Machu Picchu. You simply can't go wrong staying here. Wow!

We stayed here at the end of our 5 day mountain trek to Machu Picchu. When we checked in they only had a room on the 2nd floor facing the street, which would mean noisy. After some difficulty they were able to move us, however the rooms and the bathroom were very small. Think NYC hotel room size. The hotel itself is beautiful but it felt big and not as intimate as other places we stayed.

We had a beautiful one bedroom suite and very large bathroom. A true one of a kind and a total surprise to find such luxury in central historic Cusco. It is an five century old mansion with exceptional quality rooms and stunning lobby/restaurant/bar areas. An added bonus is the hotel is filled with enormous flower arrangements that look fake but are the real deal. This is a beautiful old hotel. The service is fantastic - particularly Tania at reception. We had booked on of the standard rooms that overlooked the ruins next door. We were very disappointed with it, given the price. The rooms are well appointed but very small. One of the smallest bathrooms I've seen in a hotel. Palacio del Inka is the best of all worlds. The hotel is an old manor/estate/villa, converted into a hotel. The hotel renovation was done with the greatest care and the charm of the original villa creates a wonderful and unique atmosphere. We were in Cusco for 5 nights. Most of the time my family was resting and trying to get through altitude sickness but the hotel staff did an excellent job making our stay the best possible. We needed oxygen for our son on our first night and they delivered it very promptly. We had most of our meals with room service, as my family wasn't feeling well enough in the first two days. Plenty of bottled water available for all of us. The only downside was the shower because there was some leakage from ... Read more

We stayed at this property for 4 nights. You are greeted warmly by a beautiful lobby. In fact, the entire property is quite pretty, with a couple of courtyards for a coffee / drink in the sunshine. The one thing that stands out : SERVICE. The staff are well-trained in taking care of their guests. We always felt comfortable. Rooms are slightly on the small side though. Expensive, but well worth the money spent. Location is excellent, and within walking distance to most major attractions in town.

It's very difficult to state that one hotel is "the best" . Basically, one should have to know all hotels to make that statement. So ok, I don't know every hotel in Cuzco, I don't know if Palacio del Inca is in fact "the best" . But trust me, it would very difficult to find other better than this one. For once, the location: just across the street of Qaricancha, one of the "must see" attractions of Cuzco, and walking distance from everything else.
