This hotel located in the most central part of Cusco literally next to the Marriott is magnificent. It has the flavor of this wonderful city Cusco it is clean charming spacious and has a wonderful staff . What a find in Cusco. The breakfast provided was also tasty and excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Cusco.

We had a group of about 20 people and chose the hotel because it has a meeting space (across the street) and could accommodate our group, at much more reasonable prices than the Marriott next door. The staff were very accommodating on providing group meals, drinks and snacks mid-morning for our meeting, etc. including dealing with gluten-free, vegan, and other special needs. The buffet breakfast was lavish.

I was looking for a place to hold a business meeting for about 20 people in Cusco. Very few places had a meeting room large enough and if they did they were much more expensive than the Ruinas. I made the initial booking by email and it was all handled very professionally. Some last minute changes were also catered for efficiently. On arrival, they were ready for us with registration cards and keys, and we were invited to sit in the lounge while we filled out the forms. The rooms had been ass... Read more

Hotel Ruinas has a great location. There are several restaurants right across the street and the square is a short walk away. In addition the rooms are large and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong booking Hotel Ruinas!

Cusco is a very noisy city, I think Peru is a very noisy country. The Ruinas hotel offered a comfortable and nice stay in Cusco and the noise from the street did not affect at all my sleep, very friendly staff, clean and decent hotel, not very expensive and easy to get to most of the certain attractions in Cusco. Consider your next option when visit Cuzco.

Within a short walk to the Plaza de Armas. Fantastic restaurant directly across the street and several others within 2 blocks. Friendly staff, room was very clean, comfortable bed, hot water. Very nice breakfast buffet set up and ready by 5 am each morning. I would definitely recommend.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay at. It is well located near the Plaza de Arms and in easy walking distance to most major attractions in Cusco. The room was clean and comfortable. The service was top notch. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. On the day of our leaving Peru, we needed extra time to re-arrange our luggage and the staff was just fine extending our check-out time at no charge. Breakfast was included and just fine. There is no elevator so be prepared to use their gracio... Read more

This was the best decision we've made during our stay in Cusco. The location is great, the place is spotless and the personnel very friendly. The breakfast was also a very pleasant surprise we didn't expect it'll be so good. I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone.

Well relatively peaceful, as Cusco is a lively city! Stayed 3 times over a 3 week cycling / trekking holiday. First time just seemed like such a contrast and place of sanctuary that it was bound to get a great review. However on all 3 occasions it was the same, clean, great service, decent breakfast and lovely building. Not all rooms are large or have huge beds, those facing inwards can be a bit noisy early in morning when trekking groups set off (5-6am) those facing the main road can be a bit n... Read more

So we did a little research and ended up booking for Hotel Ruinas, The location was excellent, very centric and convenient (you can literally walk to most places), The hotel itself was very very nice, super cozy and historic at the same time. The front desk lady was super helpful, as well as the youngster who helped us with the bags. They were so helpful and courteous, they wouldnt even wait or expect a tip, as soon as they were done they'd be ready to say bye and leave not expecting a tip like ... Read more

Lovely staff, charming lobby, great location close to the main old town, with comfortable rooms with very nice bathrooms. Checkout is ostensibly 9:00 a.m.-- too early-- and our tired family group (in two rooms) wasn't to leave for the airport until 5:00 p.m. The front desk said that all the rooms were booked for that evening, but I was able to buy the time until 5:00 for a not-unreasonable additional fee. Would definitely recommend to others. Bonus: just around the corner from Jack's Cafe (q... Read more

Nice, clean, modern rooms, good but simple breakfast. Rooms are all up stairs and no elevator--at all! Some rooms open to the main lobby, others chattering and visiting late. Other rooms quite close window to window on third floor, you can look into other rooms! No dark curtains to block light at night .... Bring your eye covers for extra sleep. Service good, some desk girls very shy and hard to hear' Quaint sitting area with antiques ! Unique piano too!

We stayed here twice on our trip. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are well equipped. Many rooms are lit by internal light wells, rather than outside windows, as we have experienced elsewhere in Peru. This has an advantage of keeping the room quiet and cool, but means there is no view. We would book again.
