Good choice if you want to save money in lodging and at the same time enjoy a simple but good hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful, breakfast is also very good. Though it is not located at the Plaza de Armas, it is walking distance if you don't mind to walk for 15 minutes, or you can take a taxi for 5 Soles, less than US$2.

On our trip to Machupichu we found this gem of a hotel in Cusco. They provided a generous 11:30am checkin time so we left our luggage in our room and toured the Inca sites of the city. The free breakfast each morning was different but incuded egg omlets, fruit, yogurt, bread, cereal, chocolate milk, tea, crackers, and cold cuts. When we left for Machupichu the staff offered to store our luggage free for the day which allowed us to take a light backpack to Machupicchu. They spoke English and we... Read more

Very nice rooms at a very good price. Breakfast was pretty good and served for a large span of time. Basic stuff, milks, yogurts, breads, cheeses and deli meats , fried eggs etc. Complimentary Coca Leaf Tea and Filtered water! They held our luggage at no cost in a secure room while we were away on a 4 Day Trek. We booked our city tour and Sacred Valley tour with them and they were both excellent and the pricing was spot on. Only downside? Wi-fi was dismal unless you were in the lobby. Whi... Read more

Great hotel for so many reasons. Really nice breakfast with good selection, hot water in showers with great pressure, nice prices, wonderful wifi (a true luxury in my experience traveling in Peru), super clean, and best of all amazing service. The people who work here are so friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have a nice stay. I have had a difficult situation, and they have worked with me every step of the way, never attempting to nickle and dime me. I would recommend this to anyo... Read more

The individuals that work at the hotel are courteous, helpful, and respectful. The entire staff was very accommodating to our needs. They went out of their way to hold onto our groups luggage for a night while we traveled to aguas callientes and the luggage was safe when we returned. Breakfast was great, the area was quiet. Great experience, I would highly recommend them.

We enjoyed stay at Hotel Golden Inca before and after taking the Inca Trail Trek for four days. We were able to leave our extra luggage at the hotel while we were on the trek. The hot showers, free breakfast, free rides to the airport and walking distance to the main square of Cosco make this hotel perfect for our needs at a very reasonable prices. Linda & Mike.

Walkable location to downtown Cuzco for shopping and restaurants. Great spot to stay before or after a trek to Machu Pichu. Friendly staff that let us hold non-necessary baggage while we trekked. Ok breakfast was provided and there was never a shortage of cocoa tea

I booked a room here last minute and was pleased with what I got. Very accommodating and affordable. Nothing too special about the room but I had a comfortable stay here (comfortable bed, clean, and hot water). The room was also warm which turned out to be something I didn't find everywhere I went -- it was winter so this was a huge plus. Nice breakfast spread in the morning. Not walking distance to the Plaza de Armas, which is my only complaint. Other than that, nice hotel and nice staff!

We stayed here after doing the 5 days Salkantey trek, and it was perfect for some luxury relaxing. The staff is nice, and the breakfast is good as well (pretty standard). There's free water in the hallway, which is nice when you can't drink it from tap. The area is great, and is a 10 minutes walk to the centrum. One day we were just laying in our beds (clothed luckily!), and suddenly it knocked at the door, and right away - didn't even give us time to stand up - a staff member, locked himself... Read more

Hotel is in Cuzco about a 20 minute walk from the center. It is pretty cheap place to stay and is good if you are only planning to stay there for the night and go visit Machu Picchu. It has the basic necessities like a bed, shower, bathroom, small closet wardrobe and tv. It was excellent for me because I was planning on hiking to Machu Picchu and would be gone for a few days. I booked one night, they let me keep my luggage there while I was gone and then booked another night after the hike. Ther... Read more

Super nice staff members! The taxi deal they have there is wonderful. It's a bit of a trek from the city center (in reality only 15 minutes) but Cusco is so small, it felt far. It was clean and comfortable and cheap. Great!

The positives are: - Great breakfast in the morning: eggs, sausage, toast, jellies, hams, cheeses, fresh juices, -cheap taxi ride to El Centro 5-6 soles -Rooms were in good shape as well - no issues with cleanliness Negatives: -We had to be moved to a different hotel for one night of our stay bc the hotel booked over our reservation - they paid for the hotel and it was actually an upgrade from Inca so not too many issues here -Noise levels are definitely an issue - especially if you have l... Stayed here for one night with a group of friends on a quick visit to Cusco. Booked the hotel through Pagoda. We were a party of nine and from the Trip Advisor reviews we chose this hotel as it was only one of a few that could accommodate us all. We stayed at the Golden Inca for a week. The best things about the hotel are the staff - enormously helpful and speak great English - and the breakfast, which was free. We were also able to leave our luggage at the hotel for free for five days, while we trekked Salkantay. Downsides were that our bathroom was very damp and smelt quite badly. There were also limited vegetarian options at breakfast; the hot food was only ever meat. The hotel also got quite noisy at night and it was sometimes diff... Read more

Stayed here for one night whilst passing through Cusco. Rooms are spotlessly clean - two doubles in our room. Bathroom was recently refurbished and immaculate. Not five star but plenty of hot water and towels. Basic free breakfast on the rooftop was a bonus. For about 25 USD well worth staying here. Free wifi, good location for walking around Cusco.

The hotel was nice and clean. Good hot showers, good beds. Sound isolation was a bit poor, but I think that is the same for the other hotels too. The staff could speak english. Best service I have ever had.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Simple but nice breakfast. Did a day tour with the hotel driver Richar and despite the language barrier I really enjoyed the day and Richar was flexible with the places we visited and had great suggestions. Hot water worked well. Bottled water and tea was available 24/7 and they graciously kept my bags for the day until my night bus. Good location walking distance to the center. Will stay again if I am back in Cusco.

I stayed in Hotel Golden Inca for two nights to acclimate the high altitude before heading to my Salkentay Trekking and another night after I came back. This is such a warm and cozy hotel to stay, no matter you're solo or couples. The reception and waiters are very warm and welcoming. They are always there to help with genuine smiles in their faces. They offer free hot water and mineral water, tea and coffee to your choice. Trust me, this will save you a lot of money. The location is not perfect... Read more

The hotel is very clean, comfortable room, hot water. Freandly stuff 10 min walk from the main plaza. There are no windows at the room, and part of the rooms are bit noisy. The breakfast is too poor, I will advise to the hotel to add egges or pancake for upgrade. Thank you!

The hotel has fare rooms, hot water and warm blankets. Breakfast was really good and with enough varety although the juices were to sweet for my taste. I would suggest to have on without sugar. We had 2 rooms and both always were kept clean and organised. We found it save too. The hotel was a 15 min from the town center and always found a taxi outside. At reception the counter help us to find a taxi at 3 am to take our flight. This was great.

On a solo visit to Cusco, Golden Inca was my refuge for over 2 weeks. The rooms were immaculately clean, the breakfast meals were delicious and filling, water was hot, staff very helpful in all respects. Although I walked most of the time, taxis were always available for about 4-5 Soles to Historic area (Plaza de Armas). If you choose to walk, wear good shoes, bring an umbrella (free use by hotel) be prepared to walk narrow streets with a lot of uphill and downhill. In the hotel, expect Coca... Read more
