This hotel was great! It was very close to all of the major sites. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was excellent. Their breakfast was also very good, they had a nice selection. We had to store our bags with the hotel when we went on an over night trip. When we returned late the next night, they had already placed all of our bags in our rooms. It was a nice touch.

The service at Los Apus was wonderful. Michael gave us an introductory overview and recommendations for the city upon on arrival and refused to take a tip. Melissa and others at the front desk were equally friendly. The breakfast buffet was the best we ate at several hotels in Peru. We also enjoyed talking to the chef (Francisco, I believe) and loved the made-to-order omelets, tamales and fresh croissants. The hotel is very old and has a wonderful ambiance with beamed ceilings and antique ... Read more

Located convenient to all attractions in the historic district, this hotel is on a quiet side street and easy to miss. The rooms are well-kept, clean, and their is ample hot water that comes to tap instantly. The staff is great and go well beyond what you would find in most chain hotels. They truly are special.

We stayed one night at Los Apus before going to Machu Picchu. The hotel staff were friendly, the room was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Wished we'd stayed here again on our return to Cusco after Machu Picchu. The driver that the hotel sent to pick us up at the airport was SO nice! He pointed out sights around the town as we rode to the hotel.

We stayed a total of 5 nights at Los Apus. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially considering the poor Spanish skills of those in our group. The interior of the hotel is beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms appeared clean enough, although the shower/tub was dirty. There was hair stuck to the tile wall in the shower. We were there for four nights and it was never cleaned. The rooms on the main street were also a bit loud, the balcony doors don't provide an incredible amount... Read more

We stayed 4 nights here while in Cusco. The biggest asset of this hotel is the staff** - very warm and hospitable, always helpful, great "can do" approach, even though there was a bit of a language gap. A shout out to Michael who was working evening shift while we were there- always nice to see a friendly face when we come back from our tours! And to Mr Francisco for preparing the breakfast, and cooking us eggs in the mornings! This hotel is a convenient walk to the main Plaza, the greater than... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights when we first arrived in Peru and we're very glad we did. A beautiful historic hotel just minutes away from Cusco's historic center. Our room was on the first floor, in front of the lobby. It can get a bit noisy at night but earplugs do the trick. An added bonus of being on the first floor is that's where the wifi works best. The staff at Los Apus are very welcoming and helpful. The first evening we were there, my husband felt unwell due to to altitude sickness and ... Read more

The location of the hotel is prime. The staff is friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast leaves much to be desired and is mainly an array of juices, fruit, yogurt and breads. The rooms are overly furnished and there is not a lot of space. Luckily, I was the only person in my twin room but still felt cluttered. The part that I am frustrated about is check-out. My online reservation quoted me a US DOLLAR value for my 5 night stay. Well, I attempted to close my tab at the conclusion of my visit ... Read more

Hotel is in a great location.. Just a few minute walk to Plaza de armas. When we first arrived we were greeted with some coca tea while our room and paper work was being prepared. We had room 304 just 3 small flights of stairs up. Room was smaller than I thought but clean. We actually had two reservations, first was from June 5th to the 9th we then checked out and did our 4 day excursion on the Inca trail to machu picchu We then rechecked in on the 12th to the 14.. We stayed at this hotel during our visit to cusco. The hotel itself isn't luxurious but it has everything you need and isnt far from the plaza de armas. What really makes this place great really is the service. The people are so friendly and helpful. The young man at the front desk named Michael was full of information on things to do around town and also helped us catch our bus on time! Thank you Michael! We would happily stay here again.

It is close to the main Plaza but on a bit of a quieter street which is good. The rooms are small and simple but comfortable. The staff is wonderful and the ambiance is very nice. Decided to leave the review early after the pleasant conversation I just had with the front desk. We were discussing our early leave nd the bag we were leaving while on our trek to Mach Picchu. She insisted several times that they will send a box breakfast since we are leaving ahead of 6am breakfast. We ultimately declined. But this is evidence of their quality service.

I stayed at Los Apus for 2 nights while in Cusco. I was on a trek the other 4 nights. The time I spent there was great! Very friendly staff willing to give recommendations for anything. They will get you a free transport service to and from the hotel to the airport. Free breakfast, decent wifi, unless you are on the very top floor then it's bad (my only complaint). Stayed here 3 nights with my girlfriend and was very pleased with the hotel. Great breakfast in the morning and the receptionists had a lot of great info about the city. The free airport pickup and drop off was nice, but the checkout time of 9am was a bit inconvenient due it being so early. The location wasn't horrible, but there is quite a bit of noise from the sidewalk and street that it is next to. Aside from that it was great! Very walkable to the main square. This place is ideally located just a few min walk from the City center (Plaza de Armas). Our booking thru tripadvisor included free airport pickup and drop off, breakfast and city tour which made it a great deal! The place seems to be an old traditional cusanian house that has been converted into a hotel. The rooms are cosy, and the bathrooms didn't have much ventilation. But, they were well kept and had a nice welcoming feel. We also enjoyed the city views from the roof top in the evening. The ... Read more

There is a restaurant inside the Hotel wich is a very good option if you don't fell like going out (however there are a lot of places to go in a walking distance).
