I stayed in a single room and it was VERY small. When I measured the room it was 8 feet by 10 feet plus the bathroom. When I opened the bathroom door it bumped into the toilet. I had to close the bathroom door to be able to use the toilet. Other than that the room was very clean and quiet. The staff there was very friendly.

We were met with hot towels, asked to sit comfortably while they served us coca tea for the altitude. While sitting, we were checked in and our luggage delivered to our rooms. The hotel is lovely, rooms were well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. They have a nice terrace with a beautiful view of Cusco, perfect for relaxing. We stayed two nights before Machu Picchu and one after. Breakfast and all meals were great. A beautiful stay!

Our experience at Encantada was very satisfactory. Clean rooms, Panoramic view (see picture), great service (Arnold was always super helpful), delicious breakfast (I have to admit we didn't have bad breakfast in any of the hotels because Peruvian food in general is delicious). You might complain that the hotel is on a hill and at 11000 ft + elevation, climbing the hill might become a challenge, please understand that most cute hotels are on that same hill. Call it Inca exercise!

The hotel is very nice, charming and overlooking the town. The room was comfy and clean with portable heater and hairdryer. They have good breakfast selections. But my only problem was the wifi never works in the room. You have to go to the reception area and spend your time there surfing the internet. Also on our last night, there was bad stench coming out from the bathroom plumbing. Probably it's not unusual considering Cuzco as an ancient town.

TheThis hotel is high in the hills of Cuzco, and they arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport. The neighborhood of San Blas is ancient and wonderful, and the views from the entrance, our room and rooftop terrace show the full expanse of the surrounding hills and central Cuzco, a sight which Iā??ve never seen the like in the USA or Europe. The hotel clerk named Arnold was charming and beyond helpful, going way out of his way to help us with just about everything. The hotel has a chef/rest... Read more

Our experience at Encantada was fantastic. My husband got sick from a meal in Lima. The hotel staff were amazing and called a doctor. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of well. The location is a little far from the main square- 10-15 min walk (up hill on the way home!) but it's worth the few extra steps :)

As most places in Peru staff was extremely friendly. They really give you the feeling that you are home! They can keep your lugagge while you are away for the Inca Trail. Rooms are nice, very clean and with running hot water. The only thing is that you can hear what's going on outside your room, but that is only if you have light sleep and a neighborg that leaves at 4am. Breakfast is good, simple but complete and good. Unfortunately we did not have time to try the pisco sour or the spa. I defini... Read more

I had two stays in this hotel and if I ever return to Cusco I would stay again despite it being at the top of a hill and there was no taxi to meet us at the airport. Winter nights in Cusco are cold and most buildings in the city donā??t have central heating. Because of this, lower level rooms in the hotel stay pretty chilly all day long but the upper level ones benefit from the warm daytime sun for some much needed heating. Both rooms I stayed in had outstanding views of the city and surroundin... Read more

We stayed in 3 rooms over a two-week period, and each one was comfortable with a modern bathroom. The rooms aren't huge, but we didn't spend a lot of time in them, either. After our Inca trek we booked a massage -- which was heavenly. One tip -- if you ask for water at breakfast, they bring you a bottle -- and don't tell you that you will be charged for it (and it is much more expensive than at the store down the street). I wish I had known that. We loved the location and the neighborhood, b... Read more

This hotel had the best staff ever! They were so warm, friendly, helpful, and kind. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Encantada was our home base throughout our trip. They safely kept our luggage while we did smaller trips throughout Peru. If we ever come back to Peru (which I would love to), this is where we would stay.

This hotel has small, but comfortable and clean rooms. What makes this place stand out, though, is the staff. Every request and concern was promptly and satisfactorily addressed by super-nice staff. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas (somewhat uphill), so this place may not be perfect for you if you're not in decent shape. It will be fine for most people though, and the benefit is that it is in a very quiet area.

This was my first solo trip to South America and Encantada was wonderful! I stayed in a charming little one bedroom for the week and returned for a couple nights after the Inca Trail. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, they really gave personal attention to their guests. It was a clean, quiet environment in the neighborhood of San Blas, but the staff really makes this place. They definitely take care of your every need. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Encantada very much. All of the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were good and the restaurant, which was always open, served delicious meals. We stayed in a room with a balcony, and the views of the city were incredible. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed at the hotel before and after a trek and the hotel kept our luggage safe with no charge. From beginning to end, everything about my stay at this fabulous hotel was simply wonderful. The receptionists and other staff were friendly, extremely helpful, and were available 24/7. The bathrooms were sleek and modern, and the room itself was charming, comfortable and well-equipped (even as a Northerner I still had to use the space heater once or twice). Additionally, the staff brings hot water bottles to warm the bed at night which was simply luxurious. The garden area is a beautiful spot t... Read more

We arrived into Cusco by bus from Bolivia and were not advised that we needed to have the Peru entry papers stamped . This is significant as you have risk when you go to leave Peru . The hotel office staff Arnold, layther and Angela were fantastic giving us suggestions on how to resolve the issue . We had a split stay at this hotel. We arrived on Aug. 23 and stayed for one night. We then checked out and returned on Aug. 26 and stayed another two nights. That was one of the reasons I chose this hotel because they will hold your bags for you while you travel to Aguascalientes/Machu Picchu, where the PeruRail train only allows you to have one backpack per person. We had heard about the Encantada from some other travelers and when we returned to Cusco from Machu Picchu we stayed there and we weren't disappointed. It is located high above the city and the city noise. We had stayed in the city before and it gets pretty loud early in the morning. On the slopes of a mountain this hotel generates a superb view over the city. The hotel itself offers a peaceful and cosy spot in the city with a very cosy garden. The hotel environment of the hotel was very nice with small streets and shops along the way. Personnel was very friendly, flexible and helpful during the sickness of my partner. High standard hotel in every way!

Encantada was exactly what we were looking for. A nice clean boutique hotel near the center of Cusco but with a view. Angela was super from booking the room via the internet to checking in and helping us get acquainted with the hotel and Cusco. Angela was great but so was the rest of the entire staff. We stayed at Encantada for a total of 4 nights during our 3 weeks trip through Peru and Ecuador in September 2016 and we just loved everything. The hotel is located in the "san blas" quarter of Cusco, wich is a very nice district (quiet and beautiful with a lot of restaurants and bars in walking distance). You walk about 10-15 minutes to the main square (and a little more back uphill because of the altitude haha) so its location is very good, or at least it was for us. The beds in the hotel are...
