It is only a few blocks to walk to the main square, but it is away from the noise in the evenings. One of the best markets is just across the street, for some great Peruvian products. The front desk was very helpful and quick to reply to any request. The beds are very comfortable, which is great after all the touring of the local sites and returning from the Inca Trail trek. Service was very good, especially David in the dining area. He always greeted us with a welcoming smile, and paid great ... Read more

this hotel is close to the main square and to a lovely theater with a folk dance show. The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and is quite good. A good handicraft market is right across the street.

One in a hundred. Very roomy and comfortable. Knowledgable, lightening fast professional staff. Resturant breakfast buffet as good as it gets. Dinner and room service worth photographing. I am an American and Econo Inn Cusco makes the best hamburger and fries I've ever eaten period.

The hotel personnel possess a demeanor that is reserved yet friendly. Professional and elegant features are present throughout the hotel. We became particularly impressed with the waiter David, along with the entire staff, for their attention during our dining experience with fresh, delicious creations made by the hands of masters. The intimate dining and service was unmatched.

Stayed two nights while visiting Cusco. The room was large, clean modern with a comfortable king size bed and the staff helpful. The location of the hotel is great. The main problem with the hotel, or at least the room we were in was noise. Our room was at the front of the hotel and only a few metres above street level. The traffic was noisy and we could hear the conversations outside. Most of the rooms open onto a large atrium area which includes the lounge area and dining area. Consequently t... Read more

This hotel is ideally located in front of Cusco's artisan market and is on the main boulevard of Cusco (Ave El Sol) about 7 blocks from the main Plaza (Plaza Del Armas). The rooms are moderately sized and out room facing the main street was well insulated from the road noise. We liked the layout of the hotel with a large main central covered plaza near the reception were you can relax. Most rooms have space heaters for the cold mornings during this time of the year but some of the rooms we got s... Read more

Ended up staying here a night because of a flight cancellation. It's a lovely hotel with great service. We ate in the restaurant with David Condori serving us. He was very friendly and attentive. Overall a lovely stay in what could have been stressful circumstances.

Lovely room equipped with all the essentials including hairdryer. Very clean and spacious room. Food at the restaurant was delicious as were the cocktails. We were served by David Condori, who was very attentive and friendly. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here two nights while in Cusco. The hotel itself is very nice. The lobby is all open and bright and airy. The rooms are small and since everything is so open it is always noisy. You can hear all the lobby noise, street noise and noises from other rooms. We even heard dogs barking all night long. Bring ear plugs. I am not sure there is a quiet room because everyone in a group seemed to say the same thing. The hotel restaurant is very good. Lots of options at breakfast. The coff... Read more

Would stay here again. Staff was friendly and location was great to explore Cusco solo. Located on Av. El Sol, head to the left for the cathedral and markets. Across the street is a local market for gifts. To relax after all that walking around book a spa treatment.

Had a 3 night stay here during our tour of Peru. Lovely hotel with large reception area. Food good, staff friendly and efficient. ATM machine only 10 yards down the street. Excellent massages given which are welcome after long journeys and a lot of walking and climbing. Across the road is a huge craft market - very reasonably priced goods. Beware of locals selling goods as soon as you step outside. June is the months the schools all compete in dance festivals and the streets and main square are ... Read more

I spent 2 nights at the Eco Inn Cusco in June 2016. I found it to be comfortable and the location was fantastic. Walking distance from the "main square" with shops, restaurants and historic churches, and directly across the street from a large "handicrafts market" for easy souvenir shopping before flying home. And I loved the fountain-view from my room! I'm not someone who generally sits around in hotel lobbies, but the atrium in this hotel is so pretty and inviting that I actually sat and read ... The room has a balcony which opened to the main street below. At night you can hear some of the street noice and we could also hear some of the people outside our room. The shower is a little small, but the shower head was great. The beds were very confortable and the room was super clean. Across the street from the hotel is a huge market where you can go... I was with a group from Gate 1 Travel that stayed from July 6-9. Loved the hotel, great location, friendly staff. The only downside was at check out when I settled my bill they charged me for water that I did not use. The bottled water in the fridge is not free and we know that, we never used them. We were booked here by a group travel company when our selected hotel was full. The staff was friendly, atrium charming and breakfast adequate. We were disappointed by housekeeping, though. We stayed two nights. Our toiletries (shampoo, lotions, etc) were not replaced the second day but luckily we packed our own. The towels were thin and worn, but definitely clean. The breakfast buffet had a delicious variety of food--empanadas, yucca, delicious coffee, bacon, eggs, assorted pastries, all kinds of local fruits, etc. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I did not make this reservation and so I wasn't sure if I'd like it. It exceeded my expectations. I was completely satisfied with every aspect of this hotel. The breakfast is excellent. I definitely enjoyed the lunch and dinner that I had at the hotel. Even the laundry service was well done. It was delivered later the same day directly to my room and the clothes were pressed perfectly. Everyone was pleasant and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

It was also handy for nearby money exchange, indoor craft market, the city bus tour of Cuzco and some decent eateries. The staff speak some English which we found very useful as they helped us to secure taxis at the correct price and, we could also safely store our luggage for the 4 days we were trekking. We wound up at this property when our flight to Lima was cancelled; While not directly by the Plaza de Armas it was a sufficiently nice and comfortable place to stay. The staff however went above and beyond to help us and some of the other travelers including allowing us use of the phone and scheduling breakfast earlier so the delayed travelers could eat before our early morning flight.

This hotel is safe, clean, has a wonderful breakfast. Gorgeous room, beautiful comfy bed and clean linens. A bit noisy in the evening, but quiets down at night. It is right across the street from a large market with great shopping, 15 minute walk to the central plaza. I was pleasantly surprised by the Eco Inn. Usually hotels in developing countries need a special set of criteria by which to judge. Even in the best of hotels, things can be glitchy in Peru. Water may not be running, or be cold. Elevators may not be working. But, pleasantly, the Eco Inn ran as smoothly as can be. The location is very nice. There is a market across the street. An uphill hike into the main square at least provides a fine downhill walk back. (Alas, everything in Cusco is a... Read more

To be honest - it this case it should be possible to rank the hotel as just "good" - it's not "very good" but just - good. As to the "very good" aspects - first of all - very good location just 10/15 min walk from the some of the Cusco tourist atractions (Qorikancha f.e.). nice and quite modern look, good restaurant, nice, friendly staff. But it should be noticed that there are some minuses - first of all - enormous number of rooms what is surprising - not only the cheapest... We slept at this hotel before and after our trip to Aguas Calientes and we got 2 different rooms each time. The room at the 4th floor was pretty decent - good size, clean, and quiet. On our trip back, however, we got a room on the 1st floor which was obviously older than the one on the 4th floor. The room was musty and the bathroom tiles were old.
