This was a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable but loud and in need of some renovation. December / January is the rainy season in Peru, and also a popular time for tourists. Storms are prone to hit suddenly and with force, so one would expect water proofing in the enclosed courtyard dining area would be a priority. We had to be relocated to avoid the numerous areas leaking water onto the dining tables/floor. The only window to our room opened onto the courtyard walkway which is very lou... Read more

This was our second stay in Cusco. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside it is charming and slightly quirky with a very pretty courtyard and a pleasant bar serving great pisco sours. The hotel is close to the centre - 5 minutes from Plaza de Armas. The rooms were comfortable. The courtyard and bar were a little chilly in the evening but when they lit a fire in the bar things warmed up. The staff were charming and very helpful, particularly Denis who spent ages trying to sort ou... Read more

Andean Wings was such a pleasant surprise. The hotel is located just uphill from the Plaza de Armas and boasts a quiet little spot just outside the action. TIP - You should pay S10 to get a taxi from the airport. It was worth it to us to exit the airport gate and find a taxi on the main road to save S15. Fares must be negotiated in advance of travel. We found staff very hospitable and eager to answer any questions we had. We arrived late afternoon and were offered coco tea and a seat in ... Read more

The hotel itself is fantastic as are they rooms. Unfortunately the major problem we had was our last night before leaving to Machi Pichu at 6am. We attempted to have an early night only to discover that loud music would be played til or past 1:30am without any prior warning, making it impossible to sleep. When we called to ask about this no solution was provided and the reception casually hung up on us twice. Not a great start to a huge trek.

Lovely small hotel close to major plazas and tourist sites. Rooms, bar and dining area are all top notch. Oxygen bottle in courtyard helps those suffering from altitude issues. Breakfast spread very good.

The is a small boutique hotel that is centrally located with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, my wife and I booked a standard room and it was very small. They wanted $50/night for any upgrade. The staff was also very helpful. I had an emergency situation that I needed to see an eye doctor and they were able to make an appointment with an eye doctor. They have a nice bar with a very nice fireplace. Unfortunately, I found out at check out that I had to pay 10% of my booking fee because I... Read more

We stayed here for about 4 nights acclimatising to the altitude - I unfortunately can't tolerate to coca tea and became quite ill the staff was great and put me immediately onto the oxygen and were extremely helpful. The rooms were really quirky and the place had a good atmosphere the breakfasts were good and the staff were very helpful. Once again the light was very dim in the room and it was really hard to read. The location was good as well.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Andean Wings Boutique Hotel. Seeing the great reviews we were willing to spend the nearly $400 for two nights in a mini suite with balcony and mountain view. Unfortunately, our mini suite had been double-booked (through no fault of ours) so we were "upgraded" to a different "suite" which contained an in room hot tub. No balcony. No mountain view. In fact, there was no view at all as there were no windows in the bedroom area. When we spoke with the staff... Read more

We stayed at andean wings for a couple of nights were a little underwhelmed considering all the great reviews and the cost! The hotel looks lovely and is in a great location but thats all really. The room was dated with no hot water and breakfast pretty average too. The worst of it all was we requested a quiet room 3 months ago at booking and got a room that was directly facing a busy street and the breakfast courtyard so between the street noises all night and breakfast noise we woke up each ... We stayed at the Andean Wings before and after our hike of the Inka Trail. I mention this because they were happy to store our luggage for us during our absence and since we had such an early start they made us a bag breakfast which was very welcome during the bus trip to KM82. The hotel is a short, safe 3 block walk from the Plaza De Armas. Each room is different and the room after we got back seemed like heaven. One negative is the free wifi is on the slower side, streaming is out of th... Read more
