I was referred to this hotel by a friend who has stayed her before. This place is fine with a great location. I will start with the cons....It is old but clean, the exterior needs work many of the colorful light around the top of the building were not working and finally the beds....we had a room with 2 double beds. The beds were too soft and were small for two people I know they were smaller than queen beds. If you can get a room with a king bed. Now for the pros: The value was great! All the ... Read more

This hotel announces itself as a 4 stars hotel but the ammenities are in reality of a 3 or 2 stars hotel. The furniture is old fashioned and of bad taste. I especially did not like the carpets which seem very old along with the closets. The breakfast and the food in general was of poor quality.

This was my fifth stay in this hotel for a total of about 6 weeks. You will not find a better value for your money. At an average of 90 a night this hotel is a steal. Very clean, rooms are large, with spectacular city views. Very close to a mall for dinner and shopping, and also very central if you want to go down town, the historic district or for a run on the waterfront park. Breakfast is better than most hotels, and the pool, gym and bar are all better than what you would expect to find a... Read more

Would not pay full price for this hotel without seeing the room first. Booked three nights on a website that rates hotels by stars without telling you a name until you buy. (It starts with a P and rhymes with 'iceline') for just under $80 per night (including taxes etc) and its worth about that. The reviews are 8/10 so its a good hotel. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the restaurant was good at breakfast and on the reasonable end of pricing ($15 for a full buffet but we settle... Read more

This was our first visit to Panama's first hotel. We enjoyed our stay, the hotel is centrally located. There is the Metro mall, a five minute walk, where you can eat in the food court or catch a movie. Also the Hop on/off Panama sightseeing tour bus operates right in front of the mall. Our room had a great view of the city and the continental breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel also have a souvenir shop, which offers reasonable gift items. My only compl... Read more

View from my room was great. Free breakfast was excellent. Hotel was very clean. Very conveniently located. HAIR SALON/BARBER SHOP on premise was a big plus. I needed "up-dos" for two back-to-back formal affairs I attended. The woman who did my hair (her name is "Rosi") was awesome. She made me look like a queen each night....very talented with hair and does very elegant, formal up-dos.

This is an older hotel, but well maintained. Because it's older, the rooms are very large and spacious. curved floor to ceiling windows. nice bed, restroom etc. Good price, good location and view of the city and bay. close to other hotels , malls and restaurants. friendly staff.

We were a group of 10, staying in double rooms, last May for a night and our experience was not good for any of us. The hotel is in a good location, and our room has a great view, but the facilities are kind of old, not bad, just old. My main concern is that at 8 in the morning, a guy knocks the door, and if you dont answer, he get inside the room, without any permission for checking the minibar... I told him that I dont feel comfortable with that situation as my wife was sleeping, and he to... Read more

We were up high in a huge room with a king size bed. It had a sitting area that wasn't separate from the room. Bathroom was rather small. The room looked a little dated but once we opened the drapes and saw the view of the bay, we were no longer disappointed in the room. We had good service and the hotel is very clean. Drank the tap water with no concern. Nice mall only two blocks away. Couldn't decide between a 3 and a 4 star so because of the view, I gave it 4. The first day, I missed that th... Read more

The other reviews here are accurate. Yes, the hotel is dated. Our driver found a picture of it when it first opened in the 70s and it was the only "highrise" in the area at the time. Yes, it's close to a decent shopping area (Multicentro) and yes, you can get good views of the ocean. The breakfast is not stellar but is definitely good. I like that there is a variety of what I gather is local fare, like chorizo and papaya. Our room was nice enough. Pretty standard for the type of hotel. Two beds... Read more

This hotel is in a great location, for this reason we will probably go back. Our room was clean but the bathroom was small and dated. The view was beautiful so if you stay here ask for room 1215, 1315, 1415, 1515 so you get a nice view.

Safe, quiet, comfortable, attractive and close to everything I needed to do in Panama City. Friendly staff was helpful. My room was immaculate and everything worked. The furnishings appeared to be brand new. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant at dinner was bleak. However, dozens of fine restaurants and the entire Multi Plaza Mall are within walking distance Yet , the hotel seems secluded in the attractive neighborhood. And the views are terrific. I will be bac... Read more

My hubby and I have stayed here several times after arriving late in the day and not wanting to drive out to our home. The rooms are always clean, the staff pleasant, the view (depending on the room) is wonderful. The pool, isn't big but it has never been busy and always been warm. The location is really good - just a very short walk (1/2 a block?) and there are lots of nice shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed our meals in the hotel restaurant if you don feel like going out. Good value fo... Read more

Let's start out with the basics breakfast , location and great views. They have a nice daily offering for the breakfast buffet. It is the best located higher end hotel. On the water, across from the mall, near the casinos, and a two minute walk to the hop on hop off bus. The views of the city and bay are world class and border on surreal. It is a dated property that used to be part of the chain. It is independent. However, they still do a very nice job. I would highly recommend them over Trump... Read more

Older hotel with amazing location. Showing it's age in the halls and bathrooms, but those views (if you're on the correct side of the hotel) are amazing. Staff seems friendly enough. English is widely spoken. Tour agent in the lobby if you need one. Fast food within walking distance.

Excellent View of city, bay, Casco Viejo across the bay. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to the waterfront, Hard Rock Hotel, and a large mall. Good Price for somewhat dated rooms. This was a Holiday Inn in the past and the beds were too soft for my taste. The pool was nice. I was a little disappointed with the included breakfast, but there was an omelet station and the price was right.

This hotel looks much nicer in the photos. We were looking for a midrange hotel for our two nights in Panama City. Though the location is nice and the view from the room is pretty, the room and hotel are very old and run down. The carpets are old and dirty and the hotel smells musty even with the windows open. The bathroom is old and hot water is difficult to get. The staff is not very friendly or helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good and had a range of Buffett style options. Overall, I ...
