Held our daughter's wedding in a beautiful room overlooking the city skyline and Bay. Everyone associated with the hotel was warm, inviting and helpful making sure we had the best service, food and experience. Recommend this facility for a personalized memory so highly. Their level of follow through from the GM to our liason was remarkable .....enjoy working with Le Meridian staff.

Very pleased with the service and staff at La Meridian. I was in panama on business and meeting with my CPA and was surprised by the condition of the hotel, quality of food, and the top notch staff. The breakfast was fantastic. Will return in June.

Great hotel, staff, and concierge. proximity to everywhere including Casco Viejo and other dinner, night spots. We booked day trips through the hotel which were the highlights of our trip...Overall, it was a very memorable experience. Breakfast service was very good as well.

Being fairly central, the hotel is close to a lot of decent restaurants. It is close in to the city but not too close that the traffic is really bad. Also close to Casco Viejo and the fish market. Avoid the rooms on the same side as the lobby facing the building across the street. The noise from the club upstairs resonate off the opposite building at night.

We just came back from Panama, yesterday June 4, 2016. We stayed May 30-June1, left for Kuna Yala and came back to hotel June 3rd, for 1 night. The rooms are large, comfortable, and bright. The staff is very friendly, warm, and accommodating. Everybody speaks English. We got the American-style Breakfast Buffet which is extensive and very good. The staff at the dinning area was accommodating to my daughter who is on a special diet. They made a customized low cal omelet with just egg whites! I was... Read more

Le Meridien is a FANTASTIC hotel! My husband and I had our civil wedding on their 6th floor Aqua Lounge overlooking the water and it couldn't have been more perfect! The lounge setup was beautiful (to include the table and seating for the ceremony), the food was delicious and the service was impecable. The view from the 6th floor terrace and chic spaces inside this gorgeous hotel surely made for some awesome pictures! The suite was perfect complete with rose petals and chocolate covered strawber... Good hotel in financial district of Panama City. Well located for access to other parts of the city and there were some reasonable restaurants in the vicinity. Rooms were adequate - nothing special but acceptable. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room as most of the hotels in Central America seem to have. Beds were really, really comfortable. Hotel has a pool but if you want to swim, it is not really suitable for lap swimming - more of a large plunge pool. Breakfast was good... Read more

Good hotel centrally located. Close to waterfront where you can go for a run. Nice big and luxury rooms. The breakfast is quite poor. The only good thing is the butter. The coffee is also nice from the cafe area. One cup is included in the stay. Price is quite high.

Firstly the location overlooking the sea was excellent, from our room the view of all the vessels awaiting to go through the canal was amazing. Staff were absolutely brilliant arranging trips, advice and always friendly. Food and room service was very good and I would recommend this hotel to people on business or holiday. As an addition round the back of the hotel is one amazing Irish pub with roasts to die for.

One night stay at this hotel was nice. 17th to 18th October 2014. The advantage is the location in downtown. Facing the marina. On the lower floor , room was fair and amenities reasonably okay. The food was not particularly delightful. The breakfast lounge made up.

I recently stayed 4 nights at Le Meridien Panama, excellent location and service, it has a rooftop pool with great views; my room had an amazing view also. The hotel is modern and has a great ambience at night. Overall this hotel is great, only thing is they charge you for every extra service.

I just stayed for one night. I choosed it based on its central location, as I was looking for a hotel close to the Balboa Avenue, which has an extraordinary place to run some miles in the morning. There are several high quality options to choose nearby. However, I saw some hotels truly devoted to gambilng (such as HRock and Hilton), but I wanted a peaceful place to rest. Stayed at room 215, facing the Pacific Ocean and found the room not only modern, but huge. Desk is perfect to catch up with b... Read more

When we told management they said there was nothing wrong with the hot water heaters. Breakfast was good but not great. Rooms are nice but not 5 star. Overall, we were disappointed given that it was rated as the Number 2 Hotel in Panama City on TripAdvisor. This does not compare to top notch hotels that I have stayed at in South America. The hotel is perfectly located on the Panama City water front and the popular Calle Uraguay. I had 2 rooms, both with amazing views! Doesn't matter if you're on the first floor or sixth floor, the view is equally amazing. Although more chill than the more popular Hardrock hotel, the Le Meridian is a great alternative that has a friendlier staff and less tourist feel. Saril is the featured restaurant of the hotel and although not always very busy the food is great! If you eat there the "Mashed Ba... Read more

We had planned a 4 night stay here, but checked out after the first night and moved to another hotel for the remainder of our visit. The hotel is nice, modern, clean and the staff were polite but the hotel just did not meet the standards for a full service hotel and disappointed in other areas, so I couldn't see paying a premium price. Basic amenities: I had to ask 3 times over the course of an hour before the wifi account was setup. The shower had only a half full bottle of shampoo when we... Read more

Stayed at Le Meridien Panama for 6 nights in late July. The hotel staff arranged a car to meet us at the airport. Even after a slow trip through customs, had no problem finding the driver. Location was great - had a view of the ships lining up to enter the Canal. Close to some of the most highly-recommended restaurants in town. (Unfortunately, arriving on Sunday evening meant most things in the area were closed... we ended up at Hooters!) Also within walking distance of Multicentro Mall, where y... Read more

While we were very nicely upgraded to a suite, our view, which was more important than the upgrade, was of the Meridian sign, which we didn't realize until morning, when we opened the dark our curtains. The room was also on the 1st floor by the elevators and quite noisy. Another thing in our profile we ask to avoid. The worst part was the terrible smell of the sewer in the bathroom, which we confirmed by mid day was coming mainly from the shower drain. The cleaning person was very sweet and did... Read more

I loved the fact that they offered a choice. I am a gold SPG member and I like options .

We booked through the hotel for the Club Lounge benefits and joined the SPG program to get free wifi. We were upgraded to a lovely suite on check in with views over the ocean, beautiful parks and the boats lined up for the canal. The rooms are beautifully furnished with modern white lounge and large bedroom with TV. The bathroom was also large and modern. Stayed here for two nights for work. Overall a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. I received an upgrade to a suite on the first floor, and the room was massive and well-appointed. Unfortunately the wifi did not work in there and the shower did not get hot. It's very possible I just got a bad room, but I felt like this was a pretty poor experience given how expensive the hotel is and that is was also an upgrade.

Spent a few days in Panama City after our Caribbean vacation. We are a Starwood family, so considered staying at the Westin. It's nice, but far from everything. Roundtrip is $50 to Casco Viejo from the Westin. You can walk there from Le Meridien, which is also Starwood. With our SPG Gold, we were automatically upgraded to an ocean view room. I stayed here in March of 2016 with a friend. The hotel was nice, what you expect from the Le Meridien brand. What really made the stay amazing was the hotel staff. I spent 4 nights in this hotel just recently. First time in Panama and didn't really know what to expect. The breakfast was delicious, so many options of bread, fruit, the eggs were fresh and lovely... just great. The hotel organised a driver to take us around, it was easy and we had pretty good service. Spacious, contemporary & comfortable are the best words to describe the 1-bedroom suites with views of the water at Le Meridien. Noisy might also apply, so it??s better to have a room on the opposite side from the oceanside traffic.
