Our family loved the hotel, its pool and the breakfast. The view is superb and the garden lovely, and the balcony very appreciated. However, it takes some time to get to the city center, there's no supermarket or a wide range of restaurants within walking distance, so you have to take taxis everywhere. It takes a long time to get from the city to the hotel by taxi by the end of the afternoon, due to traffic that needs the bridge. The WiFi signal did not work in the room.

This hotel was excellent value and in a great location, overlooking the beginning of the canal from the Pacific side. Easy access to the Canal boat trip tour . Breakfast, included in my tarrif, had many food options for hot and cold breakfasts. Staff extremely helpful and many spoke some English.

Stay only during day, good memories left. Find good bar next to the hotel in the yacht club. Not 5 star but to enjoy beer and snacks was good. Hotel rooms are big, a lot of space. Can'the say something negative, I like this hotel.

We have stayed in this hotel many times before and always enjoyed it. Sadly it has gone downhill. To cap it all there are hundreds of kids on a 'convention' who think it is ok to run about screaming everywhere as in a playground. If they don't have, which they don't, exclusivity then they should behave like hotel guests. The hotel receptionist didn't seem to think I should be complaining. If I wanted to book a room in a school I would have done se!

We are a family with two young children, and stayed in this hotel for two nights after a long flight from the Netherlands. The staff was very friendly. We got a free upgrade to an canalview suite, which was great! The view was very impressive and also the kids were happy with it because now they had a good view at their beloved swimming pool. We spent a relaxing day at the swimmingpool, ate at the nearby Friday restaurant, made a walk along the canal and used the hotel gym. Breakfast was very co... Read more

Country Inn provides clean accommodations and scenic location away from sounds and busyness of the city, but close enough for travel. Staff is excellent. However, taxi service is double the street rates.

We discovered this little jewel many years ago when we had to travel on an emergency basis. We have kept coming back ever since. It has a great price, good service, good rooms, free breakfast, great location (transportation by taxi is available, not cheap but safe) and last but not least, a great view of the Panama Canal, either from your room or from the hotel's .porch.

Hallways a little shabby. Rooms were clean. BUT the air throughout the older part of the hotel was musty/damp/smelly. This was particularly noticeable in our room. After 3 days, I was sneezing. will not go back.

Really needs refurbishment. Very dowdy, drab rooms. Very few amenities. Price does not reflect the low quality, overpriced. Limited supplies in the room, poorly stocked bar, no snacks. Could not adjust the air conditioner. Damp sheets and furniture. Breakfast not worthy of any compliment.

Ok may need a little update but cannot fault the cleanliness. Staff are always cleaning and our housekeeper Daira was amazing. Large rooms with mini bar and snacks, well priced. Toiletries also replenished daily and loads of fluffy white towels. Excellent choice at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful, most English speaking. Even a laundry. Location right by the canal and the views from the pool (and rooms on that side) stunning. Well kept pool. Little way from the city but easily accessible b... Read more

I spent almost a week at the Country Inn. The rooms were ok, clean but a bit old. My air conditioning controller didn't work, and the mattresses were a bit bumpy. Overall, the plance is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the food was average, nothing out of the extraordinary.

This was my third stay at this hotel. It is very clean and the staff if very friendly and accommodating. The upgraded side of the hotel is very nice and the water is HOT. Unfortunately the water on the non upgraded side of the hotel is barely warm and this poses a problem. This needs to be taken care of ASAP. I will stay here again and will request the upgraded side.

Great Location and Facility, Excellent staff that's willing to go out of their way to assist you. Room and Facility was clean and food was good. Location was perfect to access shopping and points of interest, and easy access to the Highway to conduct business Downtown which is only a 10 minutes drive. Looking forward to my next visit.

Nice staff, very comfy, excellent breakfast, well located. The pool looks nice but was unable to swim due to raining.. Free parking. Coffee available, close to panama centro and you are able to enjoy the Canal & the Bridge of the Americas...The employees were very helpful, would book this hotel again.

Hotel is definitely very dated. Had to leave because my allergies were so bad due to mold count. Rooms need a complete overhaul. Hotel when you walk in looks spacious and relatively new but when you get off the elevator you can tell that it ancient. Left that same night and fortunately was able to get my money refunded but spend $30 more and get luxury downtown.

Hotel was clean but sterile feeling since it had tile floors and is so rambling. It feels like a large convention hotel. Bed was excellent and the included breakfast was more than adequate. Only downside was that the room was freezing and no matter how hard we tried, we could not get it to warm up. We never did call the staff to try to make it right though. We would stay there again. I was reluctant to drink the water, but my husband did with no ill effects. It looked like there was some kind o... Read more

The Country Inn is looking and feeling a little tired compared with the numerous shinny new hotels that have opened down town. However, it is in a great position that allows you access to some important features of Panama City. The hotel is alongside the entrance to the Panama Canal where you can watch the shipping traffic pass under the Bridge of the Americas. A hotle in the quite area of Panama City, seems close to the Canal, but I had no possibilities to have a look. The service is adequate, the airconditioning could benefit from an update and refurbishing. With tiles on the floor the room gets slippery. Attention! For the two days meeting and simple sleep-over this was a suffiently equipped hotel.

Always a pure delight to stay here... The hotel is a bit dated, but, the Staff there is always to notch... Food from TGIF's is typical TGIF's... Views of the Panama Canal and the ships rolling thru are always enjoyable.. Easy to get to, and easy taxi rides into and out of the City.... Well worth the stay.. Refridge, microwave, wifi, all inclusive and wifi is good for day to day computer use.... Will be back there on the 25th of Sept for a couple of days... Love, Love this hotel

Nice quiet area with views of the ships entering and exiting the canal. Best rooms are on the upper floors on the canal side of the building. If you don't rent a car, taxis will be $10 to $15 to get into the city. A local cab or Uber will only charge you $5 to get back to hotel.

This hotel has it all! Location, location, location. The only hotel where you watch the ships and tankers in and out of the Panama Canal from your room. Literally two steps from the Amador Causeway, great place to walk and enjoy the views of Panama City and the water while you walk. Visit the Bio museum on your way to Amador and stop to shop for your "molas" at the Artisans Center on the Causeway. In the morning walk a few steps to catch your ferry that takes you to Contadora. We spent 3 nights last week during a short stay in Panama City. We really enjoyed the location as it was much quieter than in the downtown and the view of the canal from our deck was great. We also enjoyed being adjacent to the walking trail that allowed us to get out. The room itself was fine. Clean overall and good size. The bed was fine. The number one thing that stood out for me was the high speed wifi that this hotel carries. It was like no other. There was vertically no dead or even slightly weak spot anywhere throughout the hotel. Whether your are on business or pleasure, you will love the wifi.
