Hotel is good but definitely not amazing! The setting and the room were great The facilities were good but the infinity pool does not allow kids and the only pool which allows kids in is below average The hotel staff was generally not very good, lots of them were rude. The restaurants however were great for both dinner and breakfasts

It's not often that you meet 100% attention to detail. This hotel ticks every box in terms of friendliness, efficiency and sheer luxury. Two days before our departure for 14 days holiday at the The Chedi, we found that you can apply for visas from the UK online. Joy! We whizzed through the formalities of customs and passport control, and were safely met by a chauffeured car from the hotel. That was our first taste of what was to come ‚?? the driver was friendly, helpful and the whole process w... Read more

This was our second trip to the Chedi. It was just as stunning the second time round. We stayed in a Chedi Club Suite which had a great view of the beach/ocean and has a substantial lounge area for you to relax in. The spaciousness of the Chedi means regardless of how busy the hotel is you still have plenty of space for you to relax and recover.

We've been going to this hotel for many years and we feel like home every time we come back to the Chedi. The staff is very attentive, very friendly and we usually end up having interesting conversations with them! Whoever mentions the wlan or the planes are a problem - we never felt disturbed by the planes (and we are very light sleepers and have a hard time coping with noise). Plus they are building the new airport so I beleive once that is done, there wont be any planes flying over the proper... Read more

Really there isn't much to say here, I genuinely can't say enough about this hotel. The place was phenomenal in every sense of the word! The rooms were very clean and relatively spacious, the services were great and the restaurants did not disappoint to say the least. Ps. I visited the place in May 2015.

It is really wonderful hotel, wonderful architecture, beautiful location, amazing view and pools with spa. However the staff are totally miserable, their mentality is not matching with the hotel' s beauty. We would like to have our dinner at the restaurant now, we sit one of the free table, we call the waiter for ordering but someone came and said that the table is reserved. The strange thing is there is no any sign as a reserved, anyway we said OK, show us another table, the person said do you ... Read more

This was a return visit to Oman but first visit to The Chedi. As a regular visitor to the UAE, I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of the Chedi. With its beautiful geometric gardens and low rise villas it was a pleasant change from the high rise mania of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The hotel and staff were simply first class, making it an oasis of calm. We booked a Club suite and were delighted to be upgraded to a club villa with its spacious rooms and sunken bath. We stayed here for a few nights after spending time at Shangri-la. The room we stayed in was much better, really modern. The pools at the hotel were lovely and the long pool was funky day and night! The main restaurant is great and they made for especially for our needs... We felt the service more personal at Shangri-la but we would have thought chedi was amazing if we hadn't just stayed there! Swimming during the day was a little hot in the sun but at around 7pm at dusk the temp dripped about 10 degrees to around 39c which was very pleasant. the food is excellent and service in the restaurant tops. This was my fourth stay at The Chedi in Muscat, and it has historically been a hotel which I have raved about and always looked forward to returning to. Whilst I think it would be unfair to try and fault the rooms, landscaping or appearance or facilities of the hotel (as these are, and remain exceptional) there were several notable disappointments with respect to my most recent stay. Whilst appreciating that our stay coincided with the holy month of Ramadan on arrival staff told us contradictor... Read more

Speaking from the point of view of a hotelier, the entire stay was flawless. From check-in to check-out, we only encountered polite and helpful staff. Whenever we picked up the phone, the service (whether it be room service or housekeeping) always came quickly and provided everything as requested (which is not always a given in this part of the world!) and especially the housekeeping service was immaculate. The Chedi was a hotel I had wanted to visit for a while, so when a long weekend presented itself i jumped at the chance. I had heard wonderful things and read great reviews, so going in to the property, my expectations were extremely high. Firstly, I booked a couple of months in advance and requested a room with a good view, and might I add they weren't sold out at the time of my booking. Upon arrival, the room we got was supposedly a city view with the mountains - No, not quite. Try back of th... Read more

The Chedi is beautifully designed, from the understated bedrooms to the landscaping, from the decor to the service. The architecture is a servant to the zen-like vistas in every direction - rills and palms, Omani pottery and mosaic tiles, immaculate green lawns and then soft swaying swathes of honey coloured grasses, and of course the view of the ocean. It's all perfectly created as a completely restful and pampered haven of a place. There are three pools, but the long pool is a personal favour... Read more

I went to The Chedi for a weekend. I asked for airport pick up but the driver wasn't at the door on time as he was late around 10 min. The check in wasn't smooth it took around 20 min! The room was good not fancy. The service was ok in the hotel as I expected better! The most amazing thing about the hotel are the swimming pools! On check in I was told about all the restaurants on the property, but only to find out the next day only one is open because it's the off season. That's fine, but get the facts right.
