Hotel is good but definitely not amazing! The setting and the room were great The facilities were good but the infinity pool does not allow kids and the only pool which allows kids in is below average The hotel staff was generally not very good, lots of them were rude. The restaurants however were great for both dinner and breakfasts

It's not often that you meet 100% attention to detail. This hotel ticks every box in terms of friendliness, efficiency and sheer luxury. Two days before our departure for 14 days holiday at the The Chedi, we found that you can apply for visas from the UK online. Joy! We whizzed through the formalities of customs and passport control, and were safely met by a chauffeured car from the hotel. This was our second trip to the Chedi. It was just as stunning the second time round. We stayed in a Chedi Club Suite which had a great view of the beach/ocean and has a substantial lounge area for you to relax in. The spaciousness of the Chedi means regardless of how busy the hotel is you still have plenty of space for you to relax and recover.

We've been going to this hotel for many years and we feel like home every time we come back to the Chedi. The staff is very attentive, very friendly and we usually end up having interesting conversations with them! Whoever mentions the wlan or the planes are a problem - we never felt disturbed by the planes (and we are very light sleepers and have a hard time coping with noise). Plus they are building the new airport so I beleive once that is done, there wont be any planes flying over the proper... Read more

It is really wonderful hotel, wonderful architecture, beautiful location, amazing view and pools with spa. However the staff are totally miserable, their mentality is not matching with the hotel' s beauty. We would like to have our dinner at the restaurant now, we sit one of the free table, we call the waiter for ordering but someone came and said that the table is reserved. This was a return visit to Oman but first visit to The Chedi. As a regular visitor to the UAE, I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of the Chedi. With its beautiful geometric gardens and low rise villas it was a pleasant change from the high rise mania of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This was my fourth stay at The Chedi in Muscat, and it has historically been a hotel which I have raved about and always looked forward to returning to. Whilst I think it would be unfair to try and fault the rooms, landscaping or appearance or facilities of the hotel (as these are, and remain exceptional) there were several notable disappointments with respect to my most recent stay. Whilst appreciating that our stay coincided with the holy month of Ramadan on arrival staff told us contradictor... Read more

The Chedi was a hotel I had wanted to visit for a while, so when a long weekend presented itself i jumped at the chance. I had heard wonderful things and read great reviews, so going in to the property, my expectations were extremely high. The Chedi is beautifully designed, from the understated bedrooms to the landscaping, from the decor to the service. The architecture is a servant to the zen-like vistas in every direction - rills and palms, Omani pottery and mosaic tiles, immaculate green lawns and then soft swaying swathes of honey coloured grasses, and of course the view of the ocean. It's all perfectly created as a completely restful and pampered haven of a place. There are three pools, but the long pool is a personal favour... Read more

I had high expectations of The Chedi - Firstly the service and facilities lived up to the hype. The staff were great, the swimming pools and grounds of the hotel were beautiful. However, i was left hugely disappointed by the room - which had a tiny bed, no balcony, no bath tub and a less than average view of the car park. I went during a peak time, and paid a premium rate for the room - in hindsight i would have rather booked elsewhere. Would i go back? Yes, but only when the rates are lower, an... Read more

The Chedi Muscat is gorgeous. The designers/architects clearly understand how people actually use luxury hotels. Not only is it comfortable with lots of semi-private areas for sunbathing and relaxing, the spacious grounds and three pool areas are so inviting you won't want to leave. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the outdoor areas and pools. The rooms are average, very small and not luxurious at all. No extra-beds (the regular rooms are up to 2 adults, max).
