The overall review is very good and would be highly recommended for company meeting or even family tourism. The hotel has an outstanding front desk service which offered a smooth check in and amiable help whenever needed. The overall state of the hotel is very good, a different style from all other modernized hotel just 4 floors with a fort like architecture. The rooms are simple and very spacious, a very quiet hotel nothing different than the country and its people whom are very peaceful. The b... Read more

Doesn't compare in wow with The Chedi which we stayed at last week, but service is almost as good. Interesting design, dated but fun. Club Lounge is better at the Grand Hyatt than the Chedi. Feels more family friendly.

The Grand Hyatt is a luxury hotel. The decor the layout the rooms the view all wonderful. The bed is comfortable the pillows wonderfully soft the room is spacious and tastefully decorated. The balcony has a great view across the pools to the beach and the Gulf. The Breakfast is OK but will not stick in your memory as it is about the same as any breakfast buffet in the Gulf region in any hotel. However the only drawback I found was the layout it is confusing. I was given direction to the 1 lift t... Read more

This hotel is nice and clean, what you would expect from the name, the food I must judge as not memorable to be frank, we visited as a family for a short vacation, the pool is small and was not the best filtered lets say, especially on the Friday Brunch, the number of people of the pool seemed a little too much, all in all, I would use this hotel for business trips to Oman but for a family vacation I would not use it. I am writing this feedback to Hotel Director & HR. It is regard your staff‚??s behaviour and their bad manner with the guest. On the 3rd of June 2016, your staff at the health club and the security guard supervisor-calling himself a manager of the hotel, asked my friend to leave the hotel because she did not wear a biking to enter the kids pool, (very offending). Stayed here for 2 nights in June this year. Genuinely impressed with just about everything in the hotel. Ate at 2 restaurants and both were first class. Rooms were a good size, though mine looked out onto a car park it really didn't bother me. Pool area was nice and went out onto a magnificent lawn that went right down to the beach. Staff as well were faultless. All in all when in Muscat I would highly recommend the Grand Hyatt.

Hotel is very clean, grand and the views along the beaches & outside space is awesome. Id definitely recommend staying here. For the fitness fanatics it has a fantastic gym for a hotel. I was dissatisfied about the unclear prepayment scheme of the hotel. The hotel charge my credit card 1 night prior to my check-in date while it was mentioned in Booking.com and in my booking confirmation email that no prepayment is required. Also, some of the hotel staff needs to improve on their customer service and its response time.

From the outside this hotel is an eyesore but everything improves upon entry. The pool is neat with a running current to take you around in circles and a sit up and enjoy bar. We went during Ramadan so no open imbibing however breakfast was served in one designated restaurant and snacks and drinks in the penthouse in the evenings. As there were not many people staying the Expedia prices were still a bit over the top.

I've used this hotel a lot over the years and it's never let me down. The rooms are superb, the staff impeccable, the catering first rate and the Business Lounge is an essential part of doing business in Muscat. Sit there long enough and everyone in Oman eventually wanders through. Nice hotel in front of the beach where you can combine business with leisure. The hotel pools and the beach access make the hotel very attractive if you like to swim or run before or after your work day. Although rooms are not as much as you can expect of a Grand Hyatt the overall evaluation of the hotel is very good.

The hotel really does need renovating, rooms are dated and old, air conditioning is ineffective and ancient. Door lock broke on my room, therefore no access unless accompanied by duty manager. I was promised it would be fixed at 9am the next day, it wasn't and hadn't even been handed over by duty manager, who had no knowledge of the issue. Really expect better of a Hyatt. On the positive side, great location, lovely pool, just needs modernising.

Very clean and beautiful hotel (in an oriental luxery style of course). Very comfortable room with everything you need. 3 restaurants: I tested the italian (good) and the café-buffet (excellent, with his middle eastern favours combined with international dishes). Very good and complete breakfast. A nice swimming pool and a private beach with fantastic sea water. Very professional staff that is also very friendly. Congratulations! This hotel is perfect.

This time, I thought I would check out the Grand Hyatt, so I booked the Grand King room with view and the hotel pick up service . It was not a good experience and here's why: 1. I booked the hotel pick up service and selected the BMW 5 series car pick up. The other option was a BMW 7 series which I did not need.
