I have stayed at Comfort hotel Trondheim a couple of times. The hotel is fresh, the staff friendly, rooms greit and the breakfast tasty. All this to a reasonable price and perfect location. Absolutely recomended!

Despite the good location, good service at the front desk and good breakfast, we were not satisfied by this hotel. First of all it was a lot of noice from the restaurantes and bars in the surroundings. Because the ventilation and the temperature in the room were not too good, we had to sleep with an open window (the fan we got at the front desk didn`t work), then we couldn`t escape the noice. The curtains were very dark and heavy so we had to draw them apart to get some air, then it was very li... Read more

Comfort Hotel Trondheim is a nice modern hotel, as such. However,we were shocked upon arrival (12:28 o'clock), as we were asked for an early check-in fee (100 NOK), if we wanted to check before 13:00 o'clock (1:00 PM). This might be policy, but for all good purposes, if there are vacant rooms, 28 min. before 1 o'clock, don't meet your guests with this message. I could see the receptionist was shameful, for having of say this. It is far more acceptable, for me as a guest, to be met with the messa... Read more

It is an ok 3 stars, the room was clean, quite basic, but as expected for a 3 star hotel. Plenty of restaurants on a walking distance, so really easy to step out for dinner. The terrible part is the bed. We woke up with a huge pain on our backs, because the bed has no support for your back. It is a thin mattress in a spring box, so you just sink in the middle. The good thing is that on Sunday breakfast is until 12 and check out until 18, which would really allow you to rest until a bit late if t... Read more

Lovely room, but a bit small when sharing with my brother. We ordered a twin room on booking but on arrival only a double was left. Great breakfast offering a full range and the location was good to visit the area.

We stayed here for two nights. Fine hotel with good beds. For a change it was relatively dark when going to sleep. Good Wifi. The breakfast was very good. The location is in the middle of the center and on walking distance of the old warehouses and the cathedral. Friendly staff

Very nice and healthy breakfast. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Basic clean comfortable room and convenient location in down town Trondheim. Nice to have a cinema opposite and now I'm afraid we really do not have anything else to add about this pleasant hotel.

Hotel was in an excellent location in Trondheim. Close to all attractions in the city. Breakfast was sufficient. Free flowing of coffee and tea was a nice touch to the stay. We received a warm welcome from the check-in desk. Room was clean. Toilet in room had basic amenities which was great as it kept our cost down.

Hotel is in a really great location. All options of public transport are walking distance and there is an abundance of pubs shops and restaurants in every direction. It is also pretty much walking distance to a lot of tourist spots and the harbour is a short walk... I recommend a walk down here to watch the sunset or sunrise :) There were roadworks outside when we stayed but other than taking away the appearance of the hotel front it made no issues for me.

We stayed in June in room 311, facing the atrium where breakfast is served, for 3 nights. There is a glass ceiling to the atrium so we could look out and see the weather: sunny, cloudy, etc. The room was clean and quiet, with the window onto the atrium closed. The bed was comfortable and there was a bar stool at a shelf in front of the TV that worked as a desk. There was an easy chair that functioned, for us, as a luggage rack when pushed out of the floorspace. The room was large by Europea... Read more

Why would one put a bed right next to a window? Well, if there is stunning nature and view over a fjord, THAT'S when you put a bed right next to a window. Not when there is Trondheim's Main Street right outside. And definetly not when this annoying cleaning car comes by at 5:45am. A pain! + It was super clean. - The breakfast is nothing to write home about and the soap dries out your skin. (No quit fjord - but a noisy road)

There is a lot to see (like monuments, church, museums) and so little time. We found a great restaurant near railway (Ramp Pub och Spiseri). Easy city to walk around and different things to do also. Worth of going.

With a location just 8-10 minutes to walk from the train station and Nidaros cathedral, Comfort Hotel Trondheim is just perfect for break in the city center. The staff are polite and the rooms are nice. The breakfast was good, but although there's a sign that tells you to use the meeting room near by the dining room if the dining room are full, its not easy to see them. So the dining room are quite full in the morning. Besides that, it's a great hotel!

We were enthusiastically welcomed, given a spacious comfy room with large windows. No complaints, good breakfast. Salads at lunch were also very good. The location worked well for us. We could walk to Nidaros and Old Town. We walked over to Radisson just a block or so away and rent a car (which for free was upgraded to a Mercedes). Reasonable rental, note there is a gas station close to the Radisson for a return fill up. This hotel was a mere $213 for two nights.

We finally made a trip to Trondheim as it has been many years my husband returned to his home town. We enjoyed it so much that we extended a day. Plan on returning next year. It was a pleasure to stay at the comfort hotel. The rooms were very clean.

I'm reluctant to write this, as I usually like to comment on positive things-- but there were not many of those in this hotel stay. I've stayed in many Comfort hotels in my life, but this one was not in the same category as the others. One word describes it: Tired. When we arrived, we discovered the street in front of the hotel was torn up- no worries, we knew we had to park off site. However, as we are walking to the hotel, we noted many "little things"-- broken bottles on the sidewalk near... Read more

The hotel is nice located in the centre of Trondheim, only a few hundred meters from the railway station. Good service by the staff. The room was clean but a bit small. Good and varied breakfast, It was a bit crowdy in the restaurant at breakfast, and I would prefer more tables in normal height.

Nothing special about this hotel. It's best feature is it's central location downtown Trondheim. It's not a bad hotel either, but it's getting a little worn out and in need of a little "pick me up". Sunday chech out at 18:00 is a plus!

The hotel is nicely located in the city centre of Trondheim. No traffic noise could be heard from my room. The rooms are not very big, but ok for a night. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is ordinary and quite ok. The staff is hospitable. It is very ok for one night.

Comfort is part of the Choice hotel chain. I have had good experience with them in the past, but mostly with the other brands within the chain. As such it might have been the first time in a Comfort, and it did not tempt me to come back. I might be blamed for not doing my research in advance, but no mini-bar in the room, not even a hotel guide giving information on services was way below expectations. A visit to the bar in the hotel was only to discover it was not part of the hotel and as such n... Read more

The location is excellent, close to most of Trondheim, especially the best parts. The hotel is modern and you get everything you need. Not fancy in any way, however just what a guest need and want. The service is nice, however we asked them to fix some missing lights in the room without any sucsess. The lobby and breakfast area is a very nice place to just sit down with a cup of coffee.
