I stayed at the Clarion Hotel & Congress for one night in conjunction with a conference I was attending. The good: The Astrum restaurant on the 9th floor is excellent, serving good food, with friendly staff. Be sure to order adrink in the bar; -the bar staff were not only friendly and service-minded, but also knowledgeable. The room: This is a relatively new hotel, and the room sizes are correspondingly optimised so that they offer the bare minimum area , but nothing more. This is fine. However,... Read more

The event I attended comprised circa 600 delegates and passed off perfectly without a hitch. Conference, exhibition, catering and all associated aspects were well organised and delivered. The hotel accommodation was comfortable and staff throughout the facility were polite, efficient, helpful and friendly. On a personal note I enjoyed the fitness facilities provided across the road in a very large and well equipped club with super views across the fiord. It's open from 5.30 am until 10.00 pm so ... Like I said in my review of the Clarion Congress Prague, this one again is a huge hotel with excellent Conference / Congress facilities. But here the rooms are nicer (although somewhat small), with incredibly comfortable beds. Quality of sleep is ten out of ten. Then, the heating and cooling facilities are best in class. They are inaudible and extremely precise in temperature regulation (very helpful when in Trondheim). The breakfast is perfect with magnificent choice of excellent food. Locatio... Read more

The perfect hotel in Trondheim for Conference. The Word no or we can not fix this doesent exist by the staff here. The staff really work hard for giving the people visiting the hotell a good experience. The Conference departement is absolutely amazing. No other hotel in Trondheim have the facilities or the staff for organizing a large congress the way Clarion do IT.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. A short walk to the cruise terminal and convenient to the downtown area. There was a huge convention going on so it was a bit crowded but the hotel seemed to handle it well. The breakfast buffet was huge a very good. We were able to use the gym next door which is very well equipped. Overall it was great for the time we were there.

This beautiful hotel located next to piers has it all. Great views, bigger rooms, close to Solsiden shopping and old town (10-15 minute walk). Beautiful area to walk along wharf with excellent breakfast. This hotel has the best price all considered for what we got compared to hotels we have stayed at in the last 10 days as we traveled the Norway coast from the north. Yes, it's a conference hotel. Yes, it's not in the old town. And yes, it leases out parking and has no control over high cost. But in spite of that, the place works for leisure travelers. It's on a cruise dock with easy walking access to the downtown and old town. the rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfast buffet matches any hotel's or cruise ship's with every breakfast item imaginable plus made to order choices. Could use doormen or luggage attendants, better duvets and double... It was very nice to walk around the town and go with a tourist guide. Its a beautiful place and has lovely churches. Fortunately, there was a church guide who explained every small details about the church and the history of Trondheim. It was an excellent view from the top of the hill where from you could see the whole town.

This large, conference-oriented hotel features edge Scandinavian design and expansive interior spaces, but rooms lack essential elements for the traveler; namely, places to put things. I had to put my suitcase on the wide window sill as my wife used the only folding luggage rack. The room was very dimly lit with inadequate light for working at the plank- style desk. Stayed one night at this hotel during the high-season in July 2016. I asked politely for a room in one of the upper floors or with an ocean view to be able to make the stay as amazing as possible when showing off beautiful Norway to my better half, none was met thanks to a fully booked hotel, which was a bit depressing as we got a room on the 2nd floor facing the brick building on the other side of the street.. I have stayed at the hotell three times and the service is excellent. Once I was charged to much, but the manager contacted me shortly after in order to return the differance. The rooms are modern, comfortable and well kept but ocean view is really preferable. The only downside with this hotel is the breakfast/lunch area, witch feels somewhat unpersonal. I am a frequent guest of "Choice" hotels in Scandinavia and value the Clarion-hotels as "lead brand" of the Choice group very much. They are 4* business hotels, with attention to details and have a high standard. Very different is the newly build "Clarion Hotel and Congress" in Trondheim. First of all, all the windows of the guest-rooms are covered with (non-removable) foil, that makes it very difficult to look outside the window. There are white dots all over the window.
