This hotel is in a great position- only a few minutes walk from the harbour, old town, and shopping areas, although the views from the hotel are not great. The room we were given had a broken bedside lamp, and a weird goth picture right across the head of the bed which would have made any attempt at lovemaking seem like some sort of satanic ritual. The second room we were given was much better, although a little dusty. The picture at the head of the bed was less weird, the bathroom was nice, an... Read more

Modern, clean and comfortable Hotel in Stavanger City Centre. Great breakfast and lovely staff. A short walk down to the docks (~4mins). We stayed as a couple but I've also previously stayed on a business trip, equally great! Recommended!

It was quiet and clean, beds was comfortable and blanket was perfect. From other side i expected a more comfort. The room pretended to be stylish. In reality it was depressive and dark. Its very inconvenient how lights work. You cannot turn on only reading lamp. Inner yard was also depressive. Door knobs to the bathroom were difficult to use, having wet fingers you can damage your hand. After the shower the floor in whole bathroom was wet. I would also appreciate a better hairdryer. Its not fun... Read more

Was in town for a convention. Housekeeping staff was on strike (along with the rest of Norway). Great location - high enough on the hill above the harbor to have some nice views, close enough for a comfortable 10 minute walk to the many harbor front restaurants. Rooms are a little on the small side (little storage) but functional. Comes with iron & board, coffee service, and an in room fridge/mini bar. Room had a nice looking TV but I never turned it on. Comfortable work area, bed and ampl... Read more

During this trip I needed medical help and the lady at reception was so helpful finding a clinic that was open and arranging getting us there. Our room was small but view of harbor. No hot water pot or coffee maker in room but available in lobby. No refrigerator. Breakfast was included. More than satisfying. I don't think the quirky room design was really functional. Large glass sliding doors and no way to turn on bathroom light separately. In summary, nice helpful staff and good value.

The trash can in the bathroom was not emptied after the previous guest. Not a big deal, but you start to wonder what else is left unchanged.... The air condition in the room did not work properly and the room got a bit hot. Nice location and decent price compared to many other hotels in Stavanger. You get what you need for breakfast, but if you are after the really good fancy hotel breakfasts, you should probably pick a different hotel. Nice with free newspapers to read during breakfast for sin... Read more

I spend a lot of time in Stavanger, but it's been a while since I stayed here. Hotel is in general a bit wore down, and needs a bit of renovation. Room the same, and cleaning was not good. Lots of hair in the shower etc. I will choose another hotel next time.

The check-in process was fast and friendly. My room was immaculately clean and 100% quiet throughout the night. There is some cool artwork in the room and communal lifts. The lobby area was quirky (e.g. pretend beach area) and there is free tea/coffee available for guests of the hotel which is an excellent idea. I wasn't told at check-in that breakfast was complimentary, but when I asked the staff confirmed it was included so you are able to get cereal and other food in the restaurant area. ... Read more

We booked the hotel room on the same day that we arrived. There were no problems with the booking. It was central, quirky and environmently friendly. Great breakfast. Wish we could've stayed a couple of more days.

The hotel lies in a strategic position; everything you may be interested in is in a walking distance. Although the hotel is environmentally friendly, which is a very strong point, it is extremely comfortable and you do not feel like you are missing something.

It is your classic budget Scandinavian minimalist hotel with small rooms and quirky, nay edgy, d├ęcor. It's very clean, and despite being basic the location is perfect for a family with young kids, close to the harbor but not right on it, and the staff is thoughtful. There was actually a beach in the lobby complete with inflatable palm trees and sand, as well as a mini ping pong table when we were there - may not be there when you go, but indicates a staff that is thinking. Staff was super help... Read more

Stayed here only one night and got out of hotel very early morning for a Pulpit Rock hike. Only about an hour and a half drive to Pulpit Rock from the hotel. The hotel ambiance was very hip. The staff were super friendly. Rooms were very nice and modernistic. Would recommend.

The hotel had good staff and excellent kitchen. The rooms were modern and stylish but for a family room it was too small and had to walk across the beds to get to our own. Location is terrific and the rooms were clean and modern. If you check in during the evening the combined bar and reception does take time!

The decor of the hotel is cool, but unfortunately it doesn't quite compensate the lack of sleep we experienced during our stay. The double bed is small for two people and so soft that you end up in a slope toward the middle. We ended up removing the thick mattress topper in the middle of the night, but this procedure only makes the springs press against your back and doesn't really make the bed much firmer. After a night of twisting and turning, and your partner feeling every move you make, we w... Read more

We tried this hotel for the first time for an overnight stay and needed a central location. The hotel is modern, very efficient and clean. All facilities we needed were there including speedy wifi. Breakfast was good and so was the service in the reception. Definitely a good place to stay and well worth the money. It may not be a very posh hotel but the standard is more than adequate for most.

the moment you walk into the lobby you realize this isn't a traditional hotel, we liked the set up sand and beach in the lobby - perfect for taking artificial vacation photos of the beach. the staff was helpful with area information. rooms were perfect size to accommodate our bags and area to still walk around. the view from 518 was great looking back into the bay and bridge, views were even better from the 6th floor patio/deck. bathroom glass/mirror mural was awesome. the breakfast was average... The hotel is very stylishly decorated: raw concrete walls and subdued lighting. They put a small sand "beach" in the lobby when we went there which was a nice and original touch for summer. Reception staff is a bit cold but efficient. Rooms are great: hardwood floors which is great for allergy-suffering people and what seems to be the new trend in business hotel: a large glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom (that can be closed off with sliding panels). Very close to the old Stavang... Read more

The hotel is near the city center/ferry pickup point as well as near the bus station. The hotel can be difficult to find as one has to climb steps to get to it if walking. The check-in was quick and the staff at the reception was helpful. There is free wifi and TV in the room. The room was of a decent size and clean. There is no hot water kettle in the room however. Nice clean and tidy room with chairs and table and comfortable beds only 4-5 minutes away from city center in a quiet area. Good breakfast and a very nice gym in the hotel. The hotel have a lot of art painted walls from artist MILLION, you can love it ore hate it but its worth taking a stay in the hotel to experience it.

While the Ladie's at the reception do a very good Job, are friendly and really nice, the Person that is responsible for the interior decoration and room Equipment failed its Job. Somebody seems to think that naked concrete walls are attractive. Also dark Brown flooring, bath room tiles and curtains do not create a positive mood. The room size and especially the bath room size are good. The Equipment worked well. Cleanliness was average. The furniture - well what can I say? There is just 1 cabin... Read more

We stayed here on a surprise trip, so I didn't know what to expect from a Comfort Hotel. Whatever I imagined, it was hugely different... The lobby had been taken over by a beachside pop-up - complete with sand, deck chairs and inflatables. The room had cool decor, was spacious, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable too. The stand out things though were the location - literally a 5 minute walk to the harbour, the breakfast - a fantastic breakfast buffet, and the check-out - 6pm on Sunday... Read more

I like the extras you get here like late breakfast til 12pm and late check out on Sundays. I also like that they offer take away breakfasts too. As i was going on the Lysefjord trip I had planned to use this to eat later on. But i weakened and just tucked into the buffet straight away. Comfy beds too. Good that they offer free tea / coffee 24/7 but actually would rather have a kettle in the room. Bit of a pain having to go down to reception to bring a drink back up to your room.

Stayed just one night and overall, I was really pleased with the hotel. Reception staff were helpful and friendly but bar facilities are really quite woeful Rooms were very well appointed, bed super comfortable with mattress topper and crisp white bed linen. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the centre of town and about 5 mins walk from the airport bus stop. There was a problem with the key card on the room I was given and the receptionist tried to fix it. However this was without success so I was given a room in a noisier part of the hotel - a small corridor on the first floor opposite doors marked "technical rooms" which judging by the vibrations through the floor had power generators running 24/7. On the 2nd night I asked to move to a... Read more

This is a modern hotel in the midst of Stavanger. It looks nice, but we cared less for the "artwork" that is even displayed as your headboard. I have no clue as to what the artist ment to tell, but to me they only remind me of darkness, unhappiness, violence, abortion and sadness. Who wants to fall asleep to that above your head?? However, the service is good, the check in and out were as it should be, and the room seems clean and comfortable. A little dark, both room and bathroom (at least for... Read more

My wife and I booked this hotel for an overnight stay. We are definitly coming back! Free late checkouts on sundays, allowing for a proper sleep-in after a night on the town. Breakfast is also included, and has everything you need. The rooms are modern, clean and minimalistic. There are no minibars in the room, but you can buy a soda or snack in the reception. Friendly staff, and good location.
