Weekend trip to the theatre. We stayed in the "Dalsnuten room" on 4th floor overlooking the harbour. Recommend this room. Fantastic view in good and bad weather. High standard and clean room combined with friendly service. Good breakfast and pleasant relaxing atmosphere.

Good location, good service and nice breakfast - but all spoiled by bad cleaning. Should clean properly more often and not only dust the surfaces. Lots of dirt under furniture, on electrical switches/sockets and tv remote.

This is our favourite hotel in Stavanger, but that does not mean it is excellent every time. Last time we had a very small room with the bed stuck up against the wall at one side, felt like a single room with a double bed and not a double room. The best thing was the view, did not like the room at all. Breakfast was great, so are the staff - polite and service minded. We will probably be back, but would like a double and not a "single" room....

This hotel has great rooms and a cozy atmosphere. The Hotel has several nearby restaurants and shops. The ferries to tourists destinations as "Prekestolen" is 50 meters fro The hotel. It's newly refurbished and I recommend the new rooms.

A good alternative if you are in Stavanger, located in the harbour and next to plenty of bars and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. Try to get a room facing Valberg tårnet, the quiet part with old trees and bird song. If you have a room facing the harbour, expect to wake up looking stright into a cruice liner

Unrivalled location right on the harbour, in the restaurant area, the shopping district and very close to the old town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They recommended good restaurants and gave us lots of suggestions for activities. Nice room, decent breakfast.

Stayed her for 1 night in late May 2016. Perfect location - right on the Harbor! About a 8-10 min walk from the train/bus station, and similar to where the Tau ferry is (for Pulpit Rock). Room was very nice. Breakfast, afternoon snack, and light dinner also included in the rate. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend! Can't think why you would want to stay anywhere else!

This modern well maintained hotel is located in front of the harbor and 100m from the center of old Stavanger. Nice welcome. Swift check-in. Friendly staff. The rooms are modern, functional and clean. Breakfast was good. Hotel has no parking but beside the hotel a public parking is available.

I stayed here a few years ago, and made sure I booked the same hotel on this trip. A very nice friendly hotel in a great location by the harbour, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. A good breakfast served also. A 10 min walk from Train and coach station

Friendly staff and located in the heart of the harbor. High quality beds and showers which is the basis of any good hotel stay. Reasonable breakfast, only very poor coffee, which they hope will improve fast especially in the dark winter days :-)

The Clarion Collection Skagen Brygge is in an excellent location, close to Old Stavanger, the Cathedral, and great restaurants and bars. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was tasty.

This is a fascination conversion which makes a feature of the exposed beams of the old warehouse and creates an interesting and attractive space. However, management is poor, our room was spacious, but the wooden floor had not been cleaned properly for ages and the bases of the swivel chairs and under the beds had not been dusted since Nansen was a boy. The included evening meal was only just acceptable, but not very inspired. The breakfast was poor - no orange juice (what hotel runs out of oran... Read more

This Clarion is right on the water [ be aware that a second Clarion exists in Stavanger which is a 10 min walk from the water, this location is better as right by the Brygge] We stayed here 3 nights as it was a great base to make our trips to Pulpit rock, Lysefjord, Kjeragbolten. The city itself is pretty but not much to offer . The best part [that we didnt know] is that tea and dinner was included in addition to the breakfast which was such a pleasant surprise. A lovely location on the harbour, friendly efficient check-in, modern rooms and complementary self-service buffet for breakfast, afternoon and evening. Breakfast can be a bit crowded and don't be late down if you want a croissant! We didn't try the evening food. Also, while some rooms have a view across the harbour to old Stavanger this is blocked at times by huge cruise ships. I don't know if the hotel charges more for the view, our room faced the other way which was fine for us. There are grea... Read more

I stayed in this hotel on my first visit to Norway and had a very good experience. Staff is pleasant and supportive, location is just in the city center with a few useful shopping places around. Restaurants are a walking distance and the dock is right across the road (Not a noisy dock). :) I had promised to give this review when I stayed in early February 2016 but kept postponing. I finally decided to make sure I had it done. I try not to skip a good review. I would stay again. Really nice. Tha... Read more

Arrived early in Stavanger 0700hrs after taking the ferry from Denmark, little to do in Stavanger before 1000hrs. Enquired about taking breakfast at the hotel and were able to. Good choice of food and we relaxed outside the hotel on a sofa until the city started coming to life.

If you are travelling in more than two persons, it is important to know that the rooms in front of the harbor are extremely small. Imwas with my wife and a child 10 yo and we could not even open our luggage! When i complained about the room, the front desk attendant said that was no room available. BUT, as I could not sleep because of the noise in the street I tried to change the room at 6AM. And, surprisingly, there was an available room! I could change the room despite the difficulty and lack ... Read more

The room was lovely (suite with upstairs bedroom), lots of space and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was nice, but the door had a big opening so from the sofa you could see straight to the toilet (not private at all). Shower was nice, but made the whole bathroom wet. It was great that food was included, but it was disappointing. Breakfast was average at best and the evening meal was not good at all. My wife and I spent two nights at the Clarion and had a wonderful time looking out of our window at the harbor and the street life in Skagen Brygge in Stravanger. We had a superior room, great view of the harbour, although sometimes blocked by cruise ships. The included evening meal and breakfast were excellent and a great deal. The bed was very comfy and there was cosy under floor heating in the shower room. The location, right on the harbour, cannot be faulted. Secure car park next door too.

The location is great with the exception of cruise ships berthed right outside and the noise of the engine running permanently is unpleasant. Overall this is a very nice hotel let down by simple repairs to the room not be undertaken and reception staff that don't seem to care. We have stayed here before many years ago. Our impression was that the hotel had gone downhill since that first visit. For a 4-star hotel it was unusual to us that there were no shower toiletries available in the room ( shampoo, conditioner, etc. ). Upon enquiry to reception we were told that we would have to buy these as an extra. What are you - a 2-star hotel? Both the reception and more importantly, the breakfast room were very cold. The location is ideal for all the major attractions, and our room on the 4th floor had a harbour view and huge window, so we enjoyed watching the small boats and the huge cruise ships coming in and out of port, and most of the time we had a great view across to the old town. If you are bothered about cruise ships blocking your view you can check schedules on sites such as 'whats in port' but for us it added to the atmosphere and its fascinating watching the ships manoeuvre into their berth. We booked this hotel because it is part of the Clarion Collection, which means that dinner is included in the price of your room, and would remind you of a boutique hotel, if you are into that sort of thing, which we are. We have been very pleased with the dinners here and found them to be of the same standard as other Clarion Collection Hotels. This really helps with the cost of visiting Norway, and eliminates any stress of finding a restaurant for dinner. Should you wish to head out for meals,... Read more

This hotel is in the perfect location, right on the quay. The dinners provided as part of our accommodation package were more than adequate. However, the breakfasts were lacklustre and our room was hot - unless we opened a window, which then exposed us to the 3 am chorus of drunks outside.

Had a small room in a isolated part of hotel while the hotel was not full at all and had better rooms at same rate. Shower water was cold. Had warm water for 1 minutes then very cold. Website says that all rooms have a view on the harbour which is absolutely not true. Mine had small windows with a view on a rundown building in the back street.

Location couldn't be better. Sitting on the waterfront, this hotel is steps to shopping, the Cathedral, oil drilling museum, restaurants, parking but yet is quiet. You can watch boats dock and undock from your window. There is even a Starbucks 2 blocks away. Clarion has been my top choice for a hotel during my six week stay in Norway. They even offer a small dinner buffet which is included in the price of your room saving you from having to go out after a long day sightseeing.

It's difficult to know where to start with this hotel. It's well situated and the initial welcome from the front desk gets you off to a good start. However, it quickly goes downhill from there! I was in a room on the second floor directly above reception.
