Very nicely situated hotel close to - and with a beautiful view towards - Oslofjord and the Norwegian Capital. Perfect weather allowed us to utilise the outside terraces during conference breaks. Quite comfortable rooms, if you,re lucky you might get one with a sea-view!

This hotel delivered on all accounts with regards to being a great hotel to host our conference. The plenum fascilities, the group session rooms etc was well suited, the breakfast and lunch was well organised and the dinner lived up to our high expectations. This hotel is highly recommended :-)

We suddenly needed a hotel room, and the location suited us perfectly. Price was what decided for us, and it became even better after we joined "scandic friend"-program which gave us a 20% offer on the price. We wanted sea view, but since none of of these rooms were cleaned we had to wait. We had a program until late evening, so we half no problem with waiting. Turned out we were upgraded to a junior suite because we had to wait, and the room was really really nice. Would recommend upgrading fro... Read more

Lovely hotel with great views across the fjord. Under the hotel there is a soft play centre for children which is excellent. The breakfasts here are varied and very filling. Plenty to eat and great choices.

Our family room was comfortable and pleasant. We appreciated the extra headroom and seating/ sofa for the whole familiy. This is a modern hotel with perfect room ventilating. Charming US-style mega lobby, carpets in the hallways, and ice cube machine. As always Scandic breakfast is fantastic. Be aware parking is controlled by external company, and will set you back NOK 150 per day.

The hotel is very clean with good location and great staff. The hotel has a good restaurant and the breakfast was very good. It is close to the ferry so a ride to downtown is very quick and easy. Ask for a room facing out so you can see the water.

Hotel is beautiful, clean and modern, BUT when I arrived to the hotel my room was not ready (even though it was check in time already). I was so tired of the day and they told me to leave my luggage and walk around until my room will be cleaned. They even did not know how long it will take, so I was not satisfied with the "welcome". And my room is very cold, I asked if I am doing anything wrong with the temperature because it is on the highest level for three days already and I still have to be ... Read more

General feeling of comfort. Rooms are so comfortable. You are ensured a great sleep. As well staff are all so pleasant and warm. The breakfast is fantastic. And not bad to have a ferry practically outside to get to the centre of Oslo.

I'm a frequent guest at the Scandic Hotel - Fornebu as of January 2015. Each time I stay there I realize I have made a good choice. It is a great to stay at eaither for business or leasure. The staff are very friendly. Atmosphere at the lobby is great. Location is very convinient, and the restaurant offer great meals, in particular the breakfast.

The beds were comfy enough and the staff (most of them) were warm and helpful. The hotel is in a very nice and quiet vicinity and the breakfast at the lounge promises a very scenic and relaxing view in the morning. The room we were staying had a water boiler that was not working. There wasn't any hotel slippers at all and the tap at the kitchenette sink looked rusty and old. Checked with the reception and the lady there replied that the hotel was shorthanded and the housekeeping was very busy a... Read more

The hotel has a very big lobby, with a lot of light which felt very nice. The room was quite basic, no real wow feeling, but ok for a short business trip, though a mini bar and room-service would have been welcome. Breakfast and lunch offered a lot of variety. Staff was very friendly. You can take a relaxing walk in a beautiful scenery-this was for me the biggest plus.

Very fast check-in. Nice and large rooms. Nice variety of Breakfast. Also Restaurant menu and quality were more than ok. A nice view of the sea from either the garden or most of the rooms completes the package. I would definitely suggest the Scandic Fornebu for either business or families.

Stayed in the hotel twice for couple of days. Overall impression was good. Not much to complain about, although not much stands out. I liked breakfast, which was really ok. Rooms were ok, but without a single cup of any amendies. Moreover, you berly have space to hang your clothes (three hangers only). Conclusion is that for couple of nights it is really ok hotel.

Located in a modern, office area & kinda deserted in the evening. The chairs are very colorful & beautiful thus making the hotel looks very cheerful! The room was pretty small with limited table & storage space. It was hard to open my big luggage with the limited room space. The shower cubicle opens on 2 sides thus making it very flexible, but it was clump as it was pretty small. I like that the soap, shampoo etc come out from dispensers instead of bottles. Now I have no problem with Hotels etc making every effort to facilitate & encourage those unfortunate enough to be disabled but I am thankfully not disabled & therefore I don't expect to be accommodated in a room designed & fitted for disabled. I find it quite eerie & my wife & son who of course booked a family room are not at all amused. Shame on you for overbooking your hotel and also for not having rooms ready by 15.00hrs in the afternoon.

Scandic Fornebu is a modern, efficient hotel in an attractive setting outside Oslo city centre, a short ferry ride from Aker Brygge or a bus ride from Oslo centre. The receptionists vary but if you're lucky you get a warm welcome and a pleasant room. Beware that this is a conference hotel so the ground floor and entrance area is often crowded with messy stands and hundreds of people, which can be a bit intimidating for the lone business traveller, families or couples. Friendly staff and a very modern hotel, everything feels new and nice - definitely not the usual boring Scandic experience. On the other hand the rooms are a bit on the spartanic side meaning there no real wardrobe four stuff and the rooms are overall on the minimalistic side. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary well sorted!

Very mixed feelings about this hotel. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean. However, the bathroom was very impractical and had very limited storage space, so we had to place our toiletry bags on the floor. There were nowhere to hang larger towels, just a few hooks for smaller towels beside the sink. The common areas were a disaster. The breakfast room had plenty of available seating, but there were dirty dishes everywhere. I only saw one person trying to clear the ... Read more

First impression was great. But rude and poor service at the front desk when I contacted them due to the big party they catered kept me up until 3 am was surprising. "nothing we can do" isn't the answer you want to hear when you are irritated due to lack of sleep. Found the beds to be too soft.

Tho hotel location is great if you come for a biz trip in Fornebu. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and with a very good choice. Take a jogging equipment, there is nice track and view next to the sea coast. The only thing I didn't liked is that they don't sell public transport tickets and they cannot exchange money. So if it is Sunday, you are doomed cause no nearby grocery store is working so you can't buy anywhere! I rate it 3 only because of this.

We stayed for 2 nights during a busy time at the Scandic Fornebu Hotel. The welcome was warm, professional and the friendly staff at the frontdesk checked us in within minutes. The room was on the 5th floor with a very nice view of what used to be the previous airport, before Gardemoen was operational. Stayed here on a business trip to a nearby company, with a car. The hotel had secure parking and was easy to get to. There was an excellent bus service to the city centre, so despite being situated in a business park, would be a good option for a city visit. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel restaurant was good, though like everything for a Brit in Norway, expensive. Rooms are a little basic, but adequate, clean and the beds comfy. I would stay here again, especially if I was driving.

Stayed for 5 days, everything was good for me. The room, the lobby everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good too, I was able to get what I can eat. One recommendation that they should add some Halal food in the menu. If you need to eat halal in dinner, you have only couple of choices, 1 veg or the cheese pizza. The location very beautiful, its just a little far from Oslo center, otherwise its a perfect place to stay in.

I stayed for a week during early October'16, The weather perfect and the lakeside picturesque. The hotel however is very basic. I have stayed at Scandic properties before, so knew what to expect. No Tea/ Coffee machines, a wardrobe so thin that it can barely hold more than a couple of shirts and no fancy toiletries like they have in SE Asia. If you aren't travelling with much luggage, it is about a 20 minute walk from Lysaker train station if you have taken the airport train (make sure you look at a map or you will get lost) - otherwise taxi or bus will get you there.
