This is a beautiful hotel, with great service, great rooms, a fantastic breakfast, and very well located in the tourist area of Oslo. Parts of the hotel has just been renovated to a very high standard - check out the lobby bar. Our room was very good, great bed and a high quality bathroom (the only issue was that the shower floor spread water into the rest of the wet part of the bathroom - management are aware and are apparently about to fix this). The service throughout was exceptional, and th... Read more

Liked this hotel very much. Excellent location. Walking distance from center. Lobby is nicely decorated and has a quiet bar in the first floor. Room was large and clean (I think they upgraded my room without me asking for it). Wall paper a bit old fashion and with scratches. High quality and abundant breakfast. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast and good location. If you are traveling alone standard room may be ok (no AC) room is not small it is tiny. Two hobbits might fit or one small human. Normal sized couple no way. We upgraded to a suite, which was lovely and had AC.

everyone at the staff was super helpful in terms of checking in early and point out things to see in the nearby area. The bar had some good cocktails on the menu with a fair price. Will for sure come again next time during october.

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Christiana Teater. The location couldn't be better and the staff went out of there way to make our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was extensive and helped to get us off to a great start for the day. We had a very good sleep due to the extra comfortable bed and very quiet room.

Good, friendly, clean hotel and great location. Comfortable accommodation, however compromised by dark decor, low lighting, not good aircon and need to be fit if the single lift stops working. Overall, contributed to a great weeend.

Good location in city centre, large and good quality breakfast selection. Rooms of normal standard and size for the price. Bed not made one day. Had one cocktail in bar which was nice. Restaurant also on site buy we chose to eat out.

Stayed here begining of june, and breakfast is the best I have ever had in any hotel. No Wonder they are nominated for Norways best breakfast. Service is attentive and to the point both housekeeping as well as the hotellstaff. Bianca is the most accommodating hostess and even the GM is leading from the front. An example to follow up by any other hotels. The rooms might need some upgrade, but nothing worth mentioning and the service makes up for minor construction faults by tenfold. Would not con... My daughter and I have just returned from a 4 night stay, and we were happy with our choice of hotel. The decor is beautiful throughout, with lots of interesting artwork. Our room was large, and the beds were supremely comfortable. Incidentally we had the only twin bed room in the hotel. Our only niggle is that the bathroom felt as if it was designed to look good rather than to be practical (the tap on the washbasin flowed onto the floor when it was turned on fully) But overall it's a lovely pla... We had a great stay here. The room is pretty good and amenities as well. The staff was very helpful. We didn't dine or wine at the onsite restaurant/bar but it looks fun. Recommend it for families. Bit pricey but I suppose much of Norway is that way.

Really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful hotel. It's close to everything, yet is very quiet at night. The staff was really nice. The breakfast spread was amazing. Only problem was the Scandinavian style shower. No lip in shower and entire bathroom floor gets covered with water.

What a truly exceptional little hotel this is. From the charming and helpful reception staff through to the excellent bar and restaurant staff, it is clear that these guys thoroughly enjoy working here. The interaction we had with staff really enhanced our stay. Plenty has already been said about the hotel, excellent position, quirky rooms, lovely bathrooms. I noted that there were computer screens on each floor that could be used if you didn't have your own (my kids were impressed). Intern... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Christiania Teater for two nights. We loved the location of this hotel - two blocks from City Hall and the boats to Bygdoy as well as the metro, and a 10 minute walk to Central Station. The staff were very nice, which was great. We arrived late and tired to check in, and the man at the front desk couldn't have been nicer and helped get us a roll away bed quickly. Breakfast was awesome: freshly squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, roasted tomatoes, a ... Read more

We stayed at the hotel for around 4 days and it was a nice & cozy experience. The receptionist was nice and warm. She chatted with us about the building when we arrived. Though she was not very familiar with the hotel yet her eagerness to help did give us a good impression. Along our stay, staff are all nice, talkative and attentive. We picked a slightly larger room type and in return we got quite some space. The room was relatively dark (not much light inside) but it is fine providing that Osl... Read more

Location is perfect, both close to the harbour and to the shops and theatres. There is a station from where to take the train to the airport 100 metres away. I particularly liked the atmosphere of the hotel, its furniture, its decoration. As for the staff REALLY efficient and very friendly. Who said people in the north are cold!!!??? Rooms are big and breakfast was a delicious experience in a tastefully decorated dining-room. ??????

The reception staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the city giving us great advice on where to visit. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the park, which considering the busy area was very quiet, clean and comfortable with an unusual shower! The breakfast was of a high standard and as much as you wanted to eat with good choice. Would certainly return if in Oslo, a great location.

We stayed here twice. The first time we had a room at the front and the noise from a nightclub or festival in the park kept us awake until 2am. However, our second night was a really quiet room at the back. The breakfast was amazing which made up for the noise. The beds are really comfy too.

lovely hotel, great decor. Loved the bed super comfortable and luxurious. Great location, make sure you get a room overlooking the boulevard at the front of the hotel. 2 couples stayed here whilst we attended the Bruce Springsteen did on Frognerparken. The cost was £140 per night per room, the whole hotel has a boutiqey/quirky feel about it and is very well furnished and run. The rooms aren't especially large but are well presented and serviced. The hotel is in a great location, a short walking distance from all the major places. The room was also very nice, with a huge shower. However, it doesn't appear to be wheelchair friendly. There's a couple stairs from the reception to the lifts, then stair again when you get on your level. It was quite difficult to navigate the stairs with 2 very heavy luggages when checking in/out. There was only one lift, from what would could see.

My wife and I stayed here during our three week eight country European driving tour. We picked the hotel because of it's downtown location. The hotel is a little different than any of the chasing hotels which is fine and it was comfortable, clean and large rooms.
