The service was awesome, friendly staff and lovely swimming pool in the middle of the Hotel. Meal was good and price is reasonable. The environment is good for business meetings and close to the International Airport. No big car pack space if there is heavy function in the Hotel.

This is a cool and welcoming place to lounge; good environment, respectful and helping staffs, and a place for real travellers, located in one of the busiest and commercial site in Lagos. Got lots of restaurants, shopping malls and cinemas close by. Though I went for a business meeting, but we were spoken to with care and respect.

The Protea brand is simply fabulous. All their properties are excellent by ANY international standard. They are fantastically well managed so that guests receive a brilliant service in all departments with an effortless professional and discrete charm.Protea oozes quality and class! Whereas other first class establishments are huge impersonal places with all the charm of a busy airport - the Proea are large enough to cope with any requirement whether business or pleasure and small enough to mak... Hotel is very nice, with very friendly staff. Food -- the buffet, al carte menu, and bar menu are all good, but dinner buffet is much better than the breakfast buffet. Rooms are nice but my (Deluxe) room didn't have bed lamps on either side of the bed, so you had to get up to turn lights on/off. And the Internet codes time out every day +/-, forcing one to return to the front desk for a new code (and it's not like people are just dropping by the hotel and poaching the internet so I don't ... Recently stayed at the Protea Hotel Ikeja whilst on a business trip to Nigeria. The hotel is located on Isaac John Street in GRA Ikeja. A nice hotel with good infrastructure, it is ideal for the airline staff because of it's proximity to the airport (being n the Mainland)

had the pleasure of having a truly superb business lunch. Not a pangasius person, so I ordered West Coast Sole.Excellent sole roles on a bed of slightly simple bed of baby shrimps. The other person had large tiger prawns and a nice chunk of grilled salmon. Oh and smoked salmon on a bun as a starter accompanied by a nice glass of Sauvigon blanc. Great excellent double espresso to finish

I had stayed at this hotel at a state of disrepair some 4 years ago. It was then repaired and revamped and the place looks really nice now however the staff in the Reception do not belong in the hospitality industry. No smiles, no welcome almost as if they were doing you a favour to be there.t

Like an oasis in the desert was this hotel for me in lagos. A beautifully designed fountain to sit around and enjoy your drink and snacks served by some of the most lovely people in the world. The buffet has a vast delicious variety of food and the rooms were a bit tiny however perfect for my short stay.

My job required me to stay at this hotel for over 3 months for business. They made my stay an absolute pleasure and I truly felt like I was home away from home. The rooms are so clean and spacious and I never felt like I was in a hotel room . The food each day is like mama's cooking with a choice of a buffet to lick your lips or 24 hour room service or a Ala carte menu to choose from instead of the buffet. there is ample security on the premises and you can feel secure in there surrounds. I am not only a regular guest at the Protea-Ikeja, but stay for 3-4 weeks at a time on my visits to Lagos. I have traveled throughout Africa and other global regions for decades and have to say that my stays at the Protea-Ikeja are always the most enjoyable. The staff, from the GM and Assistant GM to the sales staff and on through the service personnel are as friendly, attentive and service-oriented as anywhere I have ever stayed. The environment for business executives is also ideal with the... Read more

I stayed here for 6 nights and the memory is fresh. Solomon has away of making you ease in the house keeping department. He ensured that my room was clean throughout. In the restaurant, the lovely Debby made things good. The smiling Patience was always smiling while serving. Then Moses and Henry have a great attitude. Chef Paul is just awesome. In the front Desk, my new friend Babatunde made things easy as well as Fredrick. I will be here in my next travel to Lagos

I had a great stay at the Protea Hotel - will definitely book to stay here again. The service here was excellent and wifi was reliable. A wide selection of food and a good location. The only downside is the aircon was difficult to control so quite cold at times.

I'm crew for a very well known airline and I stay here rather often. I do feel myself as a rather hotel conniousseur!!!! The rooms are lovely, the beds are amazing, the showers (and baths) are some of the best that I've experienced and the staff are 'top notch'. If you ever find yourself in Ikeja, Lagos... I would definately recommed this particular venue!!! Looking forward to my next trip there!!! Steve

My first stay at this hotel was privately in 2007 I believe, and later on business in 2013. On both occasions I found the property above par. The service was great and the ambience well worth the price (which wasn't cheap). Managed at the time by the Protea Group great attention was paid to detail. The buffet meals always had quite a spread laid out and the bar like everything else wasn't cheap. The business centre was outrageously expensive so unless you have a charge account do whatever ... I've stayed several nights on a couple of recent occasions while on business in Lagos. When the basics are right in a hotel, what I look for next is a bit of buzz. Even if a hotel does not always get the basics right for some reason, it's nice to be able to give the management the opportunity to fix them - many reviewers on TA are impatient when it comes to this and there is far too much unnecessary whinging and griping. The Protea ticks the boxes for this extra mileage I write about. Friendly s... Read more

My husband and I stayed at Protea on Isaac John St. from 11/25 - 11/28 2016 (Rm309) and the service was amazing. My husband and I travel a lot, but we honestly didn't expect to have this level or service, cleanliness of the staff and an overall world-class ambiance. We had shopped around for other hotels, but i was convinced of my choice when i visited the day before. Mr Vincent, Mr Fredrick and others were pleasant people, and this hotel will definitely be our first choice any time we visit Nig... Read more
