Cute little town. Beautiful hotel. We were traveling with another couple and we had a suite with a huge living room area, two separate large bedrooms and two huge balconies. I spent a wonderful afternoon in a rocking chair watching the people of the city go about their business in the main plaza. I could see the sunlight change on the cathedral, watch the horses with carriages pass by, and enjoy the breeze. We were given coupons for two free drinks at the bar. They had a special drink call... They went above and beyond. We checked into another hotel because we were late booking and it was a disaster. Moved over to the hotel plaza when they had a night available. Best decision we ever made- funny thing is, the price wasn't that different. The service was so well managed and considerate. In the future we will book early and never stay anywhere else.

Plaza Colon is located right in front of the main plaza in Granada with an excellent location and beautiful gardens it's a great choice for staying in Granada. Front desk was courteous and friendly, the room was a nice size and modern but keeping the colonial look and feel. We had a room overlooking the plaza with a huge balcony that we fully enjoyed in the afternoon with a glass of wine. People watching was priceless.

This place has a great location right in the heart of the city square and next to the famous chapel. Walking distance to great food and hangouts and market. The rooms are not huge but very clean and the AC works great. The bathrooms and showers are very nice as well. The pool is in a court yard and is very nice. There is a great coffee shop in the hotel. The staff is exceptional - very good service and the onsite concierge took care of our excursions. I highly recommend this hotel.

Can't ask for a better location, right on the plaza in a gorgeous colonial building. So much rich wood used throughout and such a well-run hotel, I was very happy upon arrival -- my first experience in Nicaragua. The staff had excellent recommendations for dinner/excursions and were very helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was an emergency repair was needed on the pool, so only got a quick dip in on our first day. Breakfast buffet was very nice with the usual cold and hot foods avai... Read more

Our family stayed here two nights over New Year's. The service was amazing. Friendly, helpful staff even though they were super busy. The concierge was responsive to my barrage of emails. A bellman obtained change for my $20 even though it was a holiday. The reception staff were friendly and the bellman brought our bags quickly. The hotel was historic and beautiful. The rooms were a little loud but that was expected as we were located across from the square and the action. We walked everywhere w... Read more

I loved this property. It is close by everything and right on the Central Plaza in the heart of everything. It is a small boutique hotel with wooden floors and all modern amenities. FYIâ?¦steps everywhere. AC in rooms but not public areas. The hotel itself is made up with a series of courtyards all lending an old world feel to this historic hotel. Baths are up to date and very modern and there are rooms on the downstairs (for persons with disabilities) as well as upstairs. Balconies are op... Read more

Stayed for four nights in April 2016 and absolutely loved it. Right in the center of everything yet the pool/courtyard area was quiet and relaxing. Excellent poolside breakfast buffet every morning. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Walking distance from everything. Two thumbs up.

This hotel is beautiful. It has a level of luxury equal to the finest hotels in the world. It's location on the oldest Plaza in Nicaragua facing a beautiful cathedral is perfect. But the beauty here is also in the staff. Every single member of staff is extremely friendly, courteous, well mannered and professional. Within walking distance of dozens of restaurants and bars. Why would you go anywhere else?

The room very well maintained and nice. The only downside is that for clean time they take a very long time to come and clean the room, I use to get out very early morning to let them come and clean my room but most of time I use to come back after 2 to 3 hours and they still haven't clean my room, but once was done they did a be... You can't beat the location overlooking Granada's central park, and the small, but pleasant, swimming pool in the inner courtyard for cooling off after sightseeing. Situated in a former hacienda/mansion, like many other hotels in Granada, Plaza Colon offers spacious rooms, modern bathrooms and excellent service. The temperature here soars during the day, and I only wish that the air conditioner in my room cooled it down more than it did. I've been to Granada many times, and this is my favorite p... Read more

We stayed four nights at this hotel and were thoroughly pleased. If I had it to do over I would've simply stayed here for our entire trip. Its perfectly located on the plaza with lots of terrific restaurants near by. The staff is friend & helpful, the rooms are comfy and very clean, the pool is gorgeous, and the breakfast is delicious. This hotel was amazing. The staff was on top of everything. Our rooms were beautiful and our views were amazing. I would recommend this hotel to stay at when you are in the Granada Nicaragua. Had breakfast this morning and it really did the trick. Had guava French toast, bacon, rice and beans. The pool was nice for a relaxing swim. Will stay here again if I ever get back here. Also Carlos was amazing and took care of us very well.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. Everything was great. The beds were very comfortable, the AC worked well, the wall were thick enough that you did not hear other guests, staff was great, pool was small but very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast buffet was awesome. They did not have an airport shuttle, but I contacted them ahead of time and they arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport in Managua for a very reasonable price ($40 for 3 of us).
