The staff were very welcoming . The rooms were clean and tidy. Our room wasn't very large but ok for us as we were out all day. The hotel is quaint in style. Decorated in quite a unique style, colourful and bright. There were just a few extra stairs to pull our bags up on our floor. I would go back there.

Great to be back in the central city, and great to see a lovely hotel providing FAB service. The hotel is small, with a French feel- all adding to its charm. I was upgraded to a larger room, it was well laid out, with good amenities - the wifi was surprisingly quick. Parking is available, as is food to order. The decor is stylish, the rattling trams and chic nature set this hotel apart from your run of the mill motels in CHC. I'm staying again....

We stayed two nights. Our room was small as anticipated, but clean and tidy. Staff were obliging and keen to ensure our stay was happy - nothing was too hard. Pre-arrival, our online queries were responded to promptly and this was the case during our stay as well. We had a happy time in Christchurch and would stay again. Availability of fresh fruit was a nice touch.

I cannot praise hotel 115 more. It was my last night in Christchurch and I booked it because of the price and its convenience to the city centre. So the location is excellent. The staff at the reception is really nice and help me carry all the luggage to my room. The best part is I got free upgrade to a premium room. The lobby provides fruit and have a nespresso machine. The decor of the hotel is kind of quaint and the room has a nice view of the street. I never expect I can pay so little and g... Read more

The service was really good, staff were very helpful. The room was quite funny shape with a window coming from the floor up to waist (it is a converted old building) but that just made it fun and quirky. We were only charged half price for parking. The location is great right in the centre. We got loads of free fruit in reception! The only let down was the lack of A/C - there was a fan provided but it didn't make that much difference. Definitely would stay here again

Friendly staff who accommodated our early check in. Very central location and modern room with great heating, an essential in winter. Bathroom was very well appointed as well. Bed was on the small side but would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

A lovely boutique hotel located within walking distance of everything in Christchurch. Staff were wonderful, room was well appointed and bathroom was enormous. Couldn't recommend this place more - especially for such a good price!

When we arrived we were greeted with a room upgrade, a wifi password with a 20Gb limit per 24hours VERY gengerous, my bag was lost at the airport and gave them the hotel details, the Hotel was contacted at 6am the following morning requested to be phoned through the room i was staying in, but the gentlemen at the front counter handled the situation deciding not to wake us and informing us as soon as we headed down stairs (8am) , we asked to have a $5 note changed in which they had no small chang... Worst hotel ever!! How can a Hotel even think of letting a room with no window. Numerous rooms at the hotel have NO windows. They should be shut down. Is it even legal. Manager didn't even care. Awful. Please do yourself a favour a don't stay here.

Ideal location in Christchurch. Walking distance to most major city attractions. Funky, clean boutique hotel. Great eateries nearby. Staff are so friendly and very well informed about great places to eat and local things to do. Joey on front desk is a gem!!! She made our daughter's birthday whilst staying here pretty special and even helped get some essentials when i was feeling a bit unwell with a cold. Thank you for all your help during our stay here!!!

We had a very good 3 nights at the Hotel 115. Really close to some great eateries and centrally located meaning we were only a short work from Christchurch's main sites. The staff on the desk were very polite and helpful, and our room was well furnished and the bed was really comfy! If we were ever passing through Christchurch again we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Spotless hotel with pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Lovely attention to detail and close to Re-Start area, art gallery and botanical garden. The special bonus of being able to help oneself to fresh fruit each day was a nice touch.

My partner and I are from Australia, we chose this hotel because of its location and the affordability for a 4 day stay. Our flight came in fairly late, so we advised the hotel of this, they gave us a contact number for the night manager to open the door and check us in, but even before we arrived, there was some one already waiting for us and checked us in straight away, unknowingly to us it was the owner himself, which is rare to see with any company. So I was very pleased, I was even more ple... Read more

Lovely hotel with hip decor in common areas and in room. Staff here are fantastic and always ready to help out and give good suggestions from sightseeing, eating and forward travel tips. Glad that we book the same hotel on our return trip next week for another couple nights stay. 10 out of 10!

We chose this hotel as it was highly rated on Expedia. The room was spotless, modern, but very small- not the 'superior room' that was described. We could barely fit a suitcase each in the room, but suitable for a night. We had paid for the room in advance for one night. However when we arrived the hotel asked for the card we purchased the room with/ to do a bounce back $150 on the card. We explained that we have a UK card, and would this incur the normal exchange transfer fees (despite obviou... Read more

I stayed at Hotel 115 for the beginning and end of my trip to New Zealand. One night each. I found it very comfortable and clean and the staff to be extremely helpful. Parking in the area is tough but they do have a basement with a few spots for an additional charge (which I took advantage of both times). There's a lot of good restaurants in the area and it's not a far drive to other areas like Re:Start Mall. Overall I recommend this as a great and affordable option.

Very convenient next to the cathedral and a throw of stone from the departure of the tramway restaurant. Rooms are brand new, comfortable and spacious. We were given a deluxe room upon arrival which is always nice! Beware that the hotel is building more rooms and it will be noisy from 7:30am until late afternoon during weekdays. Construction work is expected to end Oct 2016 I believe but better check with them before booking if you are looking for a quiet place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel 115. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was a problem. Our room was smaller than we expected but still comfortable, quiet and exceptionally clean. The shower was a 'wet floor' shower and because it had no shower tray the water tended to spread over the bathroom floor. But we just asked that this was mopped and it was attended to straight away. For us the location is perfect being so close to restaurants.

Funky, modern hotel in a fantastic location. Given the location, our room was quiet and well appointed. Everything was spotless. Only issue was bathroom design - the shower leaked water over the floor. Renovations underway. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable, gave personalised service at check-in and the rooms were well appointed and decorated in modern colours. I really enjoyed my stay. The linen and accessories were lovely and the room was warm and welcoming. There was access to everything and nice places to eat nearby.

I can't recommend this hotel enough if you are in Christchurch for a few days and want to be centrally based. It's less than a stone's throw from Cathedral Sq and within walking to pretty much everything you need. The staff and room service are super friendly and efficient - nothing is too much trouble. It's right at Central Junction so you have the tram at your doorstep, not to mention a range of restaurants and bars right there too. The place has been refurbished and the room just lovely. It's... I stayed at Hotel 115 for two nights in September. I would have given this charming, quirky and thoroughly pleasant hotel 5* if I hadn't had to share my stay with builders/decorators who were in the next room working (and along the corridor) - waking me at 7.30. I feel rather disappointed by their presence and the apologetic note by my bedside explaining their work. The hotel is beautifully decorated, thoughtfully equipped with wine and champagne glasses and I especially liked the cafetière ... Read more

Great place- room was small but very comfortable bed, bath room great. Trolley stops at front door. It is centrally located, surrounded by restaurants. No staff early AM-start at 7., Our room had a strange double door arrangement-First door opened in to a set of two doors- Very small hard to get suitcase in (small one) due to door opening in seemed like a code violation.

BOOK A DIFFERENT HOTEL! The checkin service was fast and convenient and that's where the great service stopped. We checked In at 1.30am due to an late flight arriving from AUS and after walking through a building site to get to our bedroom we were woken at 7am with power drills and hammers outside out bedroom door. We were not told of any building works taking place inside the hotel and the front of house staff did not apologise for this early morning wake up call. I asked to speak to the man... Read more

The room was clean. The hotel was recently updated and well taken care of. Staff was professional but a little robotic The room was very small but effective They listed the room at a certain price but automatically upsold upon arriving to a bigger bed. I have never been charged extra for something like that

The hotel was undergoing some renovations or extensions when I visited, so it was challenging to get through some parts just outside our room. The quirky vibe will be great once the work is complete. The staff are pleasant enough but don't really try to engage in much conversation; I mostly stay in B&Bs or lodges when I can for this reason - I enjoy learning about where I stay from locals. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, except there was no desk chair.

We stayed in this hotel 12/11/16. Room was small but other than that had everything we needed. Was very clean and modern, blockout curtains and no noise heard whatsoever. Bed was comfy, location superb (5 min walk to main Victoria St). Would stay again. Good value.

We stumbled on this hotel last minute staying in Christchurch for one night. We loved how beautifully styled the hotel was and our room. We booked our room with a complementary executive breakfast and came to the room to find gourmet New Zealand yogurt, cereals, granolas and fresh fruit. Totally worth it and nicely presented!! Only downside of the whole visit was that they were finalizing construction at the time and our door and outdoor space had fresh paint so we had to be careful entering ... Read more

Excellent city centre location, the picturesque tram line drove right through the hotel building! The hotel is boutique, modern, clean and well decorated. However, the room was small dark and pokey. Tiny window with no view. Doors difficult to pass through with suitcases. The bed was a small double. Bathroom was stylish. All in all pretty claustrophobic. Had we stayed longer, I think we would have upgraded ourselves, but this was just a late arrival/early departure bed for the night for us. Com... Read more

Stayed here for two nights. Liked the look of the place on the website. Booked a standard - upgraded to a Queen. Location is perfect. Tram leaves from downstairs. Restaurants, cafes, bottle, and convenience store on you doorstep. The standard room is small. I prefer a bit more room. Hence the upgrade. Did not cost too much more. The hotel is beautiful. Everything is of a good quality and styled / decorated tastefully with a feeling of modern contemporary class. The service is 5 star. Friendl... Read more
