Love it. The pool, spa and sauna is good for relax after a long drive. Washing machine and dryer are provided in the room. The building has a lot of character. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Had an enjoyable stay here. Will definitely be back again.

We stayed here for 2 nights after a week's touring the Sth Island. Christchurch was a bit weird to drive into due to the demolishing and rebuilding work still being in the city. Checked in by Natalie who was very helpful and engaging. I'd booked a 2 bedroom suite which was on the 1st floor but facing a car park and empty lots. The suite was very nice with a small kitchen and separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Good indoor lap pool as well. Heritage Hotel is in a perfect spot in town so we dumped ... Read more

Four of us were travelling together. Two upstairs bedrooms and a narrow staircase. One bedroom large and the other quite small. Very small bath upstairs and larger bath downstairs also contained the laundry. This is an old rugged building that's withstood earthquakes and really has character. Rooms are ok and we would stay there again. Good location. What really stood out is the restaurant. Fabulous food and our waiter BADR was outstanding, offering great wine suggestions. Wait staff for other ... Read more

This is the second time we have stayed in this historic hotel. The rooms are nice however there was no air con in our room (or any other room evidently) which made it quite uncomfortable at times in mid summer.

Stayed two nights in The Heritage on our first visit Christchurch. Room was a "duplex" which had a mezzanine floor added for the bedrooms in what was no doubt originally a very " high ceiling" room. Room was comfortable and well appointed although not luxurious. Amenities were ok and we had a kitchen if we needed and full washing machine. Overall a nice easy place to stay with very friendly staff, but with the current rebuilding of Christchurch difficult to find if you follow the sat nav, so ig... Read more

We spent about a week here. It was a comfortable and convenient hotel. Well-equipped including laundry machine and dryer, stove, oven, etc. The beds were comfortable. The building was old style but well taken care. The location was good. We could walk easily to the park, the shopping mall, even good restaurants. They offered a valet parking too. Of course, we had to pay for that.

Wow, what an amazing hotel. Even thouh the hotel is still undergoing some restorations with scaffolding blocking the front entrance, once you stepped inside, it was stunning. Our room was 2 floors, with gorgeous old fashioned furniture and our bed was simply devine. The facilities including the lap pool, spa and sauna were fantastic. Definately would stay here again.

If you love older architecture and appreciate modern conversions from prior usage, this is the place for you in Christchurch - miraculously spared from earthquake damage. But as a hotel, it is excellent in all aspects - the suites are spacious and great adaptations of space from the building's previous life as government offices. The beds are probably the most comfortable we have slept in anywhere in the world! Staff were all so helpful and friendly, it made our stay a real pleasure. We would... Read more

I love heritage buildings and this time I get to stay in one. I also chose it because it's survived 3 major earthquakes so is still standing strong :-) Good bed, excellent water pressure, good staff, great service and with the valet service was easy to check in
