Everything we needed for 1 night in chc. Good power shower, comfy beds, full kitchen (including oven which is rare for motel), and decent size living area. Close to airport, and heaps of parking. Nice patio area. Friendly host with lots of knowledge of local area

I stayed here for2 weeks with my wife and 13 year old son while visiting our older son who in in christchurch for over 3yrs. It was an excellent stay. We were in a studio unit across the road from the main motel and it was very clean , spacious and comfortable snd a nice stroll away from the Bealey hotel who had lovely food and great speights beer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for a few nights and despite how unkept and shabby the place appears on the outside the rooms are well appointed, clean and tidy. For the price it was a fantastic deal but I wouldn't stay here again unless I had a car, it was slightly too far to walk into town with a child and the buses are very infrequent. The busy street is a mixed blessing if you're relying on public transport but otherwise it is a bit annoying with the noise. We were also disappointed to find o... Read more

I had a family funeral to attend in Christchurch. Lin at Avalon found a room for me and was so kind. The room was lovely and the staff very friendly. On my check-out today, I had to wait an extra 75 minutes for the airport shuttle - Kerry kindly let me keep use of the room and let the girls know to leave my room until last to clean. This was so unexpected and so appreciated. Would definitely recommend this property for the overall friendliness and kindness of the staff.

This is not at luxury hotel but it is in a very convenient location, the staff are very friendly and helpful and most of the rooms are very quiet despite it being on a main road. I moved there from another place which was very exposed to traffic and my room here was down the back and whisper quiet. The rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable and mine had a small kitchenette. The bathroom was dated but satisfactory for the price. I wasn't able to lift my bag and the staff were very good about s... Read more

We stayed for three nights, and were comfortable, though the accommodation was fairly basic. The motel provided everything we needed, and the lady who owns the place was extremely friendly. The fact that it provided a pet friendly environment was a huge plus, and having no extra charges for this service was appreciated, as was the free wifi. The room was clean and warm with an efficient heater for our use. The kitchen was very basic, but it suited us as we mostly ate out anyway. It was good to h... Read more
