This is our second time at this hotel. Fantastic service and upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite in the residences building on both occasions. Really enjoyed our stay and noticed how much better the service is here compared to the Pullman in Sydney in particular. The executive lounge is really quiet which we enjoyed. Great views of the harbor and city. Only tiny issue we had was it took quite a while to get the car up - particularly when we had also called ahead.

I stay at the Pullman when I'm in Auckland for work. The hotel is well situated just on the edge of the CBD, so it's quite, but just a short stroll to the restaurants downtown. The hotel is in great condition and the staff are very helpful. The bar/cafe in the loby has good food and a nice selection of drinks too.

I enjoyed three days in the Pullman - partly work - partly holiday. The hotel is great, is situated quietly outside the city centre (takes you 5 min to get there) and close to park and university. The room I had was perfect - of course beige as most others but spacious, clean and great. I enjoyed walking to the harbour and to eat in the city centre though I believe the restaurant in the hotel is great - at least the breakfast and bar is :) Enjoy Pullman in Auckland!

Stayed at thePullman after a work Convention in the CBD, On arrival I was escorted from my taxi to the check where they already had my name and were expecting me, this made everything very quick. Room with view was fabulous and not love warm as can be the case in some hotels. Bar service and breakfast gave me the same experience.

I attended a conference in Auckland and needed four nights accommodation. I was very happy with my stay at the Pullman. Its location was ideal. I didn't have a view from my room but it was not my intention to stay there during the day, anyway. 10 minutes work to the Convention Centre, the hill coming back was an effort but I enjoyed it. Outstanding restaurant at the hotel although I took advantage of its central location to enjoy what the city had to offer. Outstanding well-being program f... Read more

I would be the first to admit, that as a former hotelier and trained chef, I am probably not the easiest customer to please when it comes to staying at a hotel. I am a stickler for detail and can't stand average service. However, I had a most enjoyable experience when I recently stayed at this great Pullman property during a business trip. From the moment I arrived, the staff had eyes and ears for detail and gave me the impression, that I was not just a number among all other guests. (the recept... Read more

We stayed a night here as a getaway, booking a Residence Room (these are the new tower rooms). As always, fantastic service from everyone in this hotel. Fab breakfast too - including the monster Nespresso or cafe coffee options, and cooked to order waffles, pancakes, eggs bene and omelettes. We'll be back.

The most welcoming & comfortable stay right from the check in. The French lady was excellent at the reception, we were well informed and she even showed us all the way to our room right at the door. I've never experienced this in any other hotels. The restaurant was pleasant and the executive lounge was very handy. Will definitely stay with this hotel again when vsiting Auckland. Stayed at the Pullman for 3 days during a weekend trip to Auckland for a rugby game. The hotel is ideally located on the outskirts of the city, and the Harbour, both of which you can walk to in approx 10 -15 minutes from the hotel. We arrived late at night, but check in was smooth and efficient, room layout and size is what you would expect for a city hotel, we opted for 2 queen beds as we travelled with our daughter. Although the hotel is located at the top of a hill, it is still in a good spot to walk to the wharf on one side and shops and restaurants on the other. Opposite Auckland Uni and amidst steep hills but a short walk to main street, the Pullman delivers with friendly service, comfortable rooms and great ambience. I stayed here for work for a couple of nights - great concierge, funky bar for a drink after being out for dinner, plenty of people going in and out. The room was spacious and comfortable. Colleagues on higher floors had great views. I would happily stay here again.

Worst value for money I ever had (and I'm a frequent traveller‚??s). We had to stay for three weeks - two of those days were during a high-achalandage period. Therefore, EVERY nights of our stays was charged to the premium price - over 500$ a night!!!! And nothing that we got could justify this. Just a few disappointment from the stay: - Their "king" bed consiste of two single bed stuck together. It felt like there was a big bar of metal in the middle of the bed. This is an excellent hotel with one of the best breakfast buffets you will ever see (even has nespresso and fresh squeeze orange machines). The pool, gym, sauna is top notch. Valet is $40, so if you need several night parking consider lot a couple block away. They were nice enough to hold some luggage for us while we made a short trip to Sydney. As a frequent visitor to Auckland I tried the Pullman recently. A warm welcome on a busy day was well received, but was not really representative of the rest of the stay. As a business traveller, you are hopeful for little things to go well, but not here. The rooms are tired and in need of an upgrade. They are cold and the bathrooms are the originals, complete with tiny bath and tiny step in shower. Lights in room don't work and the room heating did not work. Average room - scuff marks all over the skirting boards, dated and somewhat unfinished vitrified bathroom tiling, dated and old cabinets, plastic bed-head, and the room too small for a second bedside table so water glass and book have to lie on the floor. We have stayed at the Pullman twice recently, in May and again in June 2016. The hotel rooms are nice, and as noted in other reviews there are aspects that are a little dated, particularly the bathrooms (not that they are not good, just not quite excellent). This hotel is fine, but it isn't really worth its 5 star rating. The bed was comfortable which was a positive, but the bathroom wasn't very clean (there was a bunch of congealed hair on the bathroom floor) and the shower wasn't very nice. Also, the staff were fine once you found them, but we pulled up outside the hotel and could see through the window that the staff had seen us arrive yet no one came out to greet or attend. The Pullman is my go to hotel when I am celebrating an event and want to spend the night in the city. I have stayed four times in the last year and wouldn't stay anywhere else. I have had a couple of issues regarding my room not being ready when I have checked in, but on the two occasions it has happened I have felt like they have adequately responded to my complaint and provided an appropriate remedy. I may have reviewed this hotel before. I've stayed a few times now. I return to it because I am an Accor member but also love the service, beds, location and the dinner in the restaurant. The food in the evening is really delicious. Which is why it is a puzzle to me why the cooked food at breakfast is so appalling. The breakfast itself is great. We stayed at the Pullman for five nights and I cannot praise the hotel and its staff highly enough. The hotel is located at the top of a hill so is a bit of hike from the harbour but there are regular buses for those with mobility issues. The foyer is beautiful and our room was spacious. Our room contained a separate lounge area with table, chairs, lounge and desk and the bedroom had a wonderfully comfortable king bed. We just loved staying at this hotel! The staff was wonderful, the location great, the room had good space and we got a nice view over the harbour on 12 floor. There is a 25 m swimming pool and a spa with gym. All very nice and since we visited during August it was so great to be able to go to the jaccuzi and chill out after a cold and rainy sight seeing day. As an ACCOR member I always love it when there's a Pullman Hotel available- love it even more when every aspect oozes class. From an upgrade offered at a reduced cost, to efficient concierge baggage and car management, through to polite and gracious service- every aspect of the Pullman Auckland was exemplary. Even a false alarm evacuation could not dampen the experience. Only comment would be- those poor female waitstaff who have to wear those braces. No woman wants to wear braces!

It has all you'd expect in a hotel of this calibre and little extras like a workout kit that can be delivered to your room. It's one of the few work hotels I'd happily stay at even when on holidays.

We just returned from 2 weeks in New Zealand, where we naturally began in Auckland. We booked the Pullman based on location, wanting something fairly nice for our first night to get a good night's sleep, previous reviews, and we tried to stay in Accor brand hotels as well. (Sign up for their free program and you get WiFi for free!) This one fit the bill. Our room was not yet ready upon our 9:00 AM arrival, but the staff was extremely accommodating, offering for us to use the Spa to shower and fre... Read more

It was our last night in our amazing trip to New Zealand and booked this hotel for last night and should say, had a great and welcoming message across the board. Great concierge who will always have smile on their face. To be specific Alan & Eric were 2 great people on concierge who accommodate our needs in a perfect day. What I love about this hotel is all people from different background and cultures with great smile and friendliness among people who were working there. Nicole from Cafe and r... Read more

I stayed here last week when I was in Auckland for a funeral. The booking was last minute but the booking office for Pullman made it very easy and they were excellent at accommodating at short notice. The rooms were a little small, but comfortable and most importantly clean. My last minute requirement for suit pressing was expertly catered for and completed within 2 hours. Much appreciated! Check out was a breeze, breakfast had an excellent selection and was tasty. The only criticism I had (and ... Read more

We only stayed one night, and it was our first night in NZ. Very nice hotel. Across the street from the park. Close to shopping area and to getting to the water. Nice staff. Nice, clean room. Was exactly what we were looking for. For breakfast, walk to end of the park and eat at Scarecrow. If this is the start or end of your trip, Europacar is just around the corner.

This is my second stay at Pullman but I experienced the unacceptable apology from the hotel. The amenity kit in the bathroom is expire. I immediately informed hotel staff on the first day I arrived. Second day, the same issue occurred hotel provided the expiry batch of amenity kit in my room. I raised it to manager on duty this time, and he apologized for it. It happened again on my third day which I can't accept it anymore and it seems hotel does not solve my issue seriously but only sorry word... Read more

Stayed here as part of a conference and I lived the hotel. Rooms were spacious, amazingly clean and super comfortable. The bed was perfect and the room was quiet so I slept peacefully both nights. I ate the buffet breakfast both mornings and I was impressed with the selection of high quality fresh food. Tea and coffee was top notch too. I used the gym Sunday morning and enjoyed a workout all by myself :) there is a good variety of exercise machines as well as free weights. I loved how I coul... Read more

The location of Pullman Auckland is fantastic. Close to the CBD and the waterfront, what more could you want?! We only stayed the one night in a standard room and whilst it had everything we could have needed I did feel as though the room could do with a little maintenance. The furniture was looking a little worn as was the bathroom. However, that being said, we enjoyed our stay at Pullman Auckland and had a magnificent view of the Sky Tower from our room. Staff were very helpful and knowledg... Read more

Great stay in a very nice room and across the board great service. Comfortable and we'll appointed. Enjoyed the bar and cool bartenders. Fantastic restaurant staff BUT the food was a major let down. Chose the tapas but 4 of the dishes were unavailable. Settled on a medium sirloin steak that even the steak knife couldn't destroy. Had to leave half a 30 buck steak, crying shame. Apple desert pastry was so tough the dessert fork and spoon couldn't crack it. Staff were great and did their very best... Read more

Given the price I paid, this was very, very disappointed. When I arrived, no one greeted to help me with luggage that was in taxi. Ok, I get it -- may not be anyone there. My room was not ready even though it was well past check in time. Ok. I had dinner at the hotel -- service was abysmal at best. Slow. I asked about desert three times and no one ever told me what the delay was and then it was not good. At breakfast, I finished my entire breakfast before my omelette was ready which by t... Read more

I chose this hotel amongst several options through a travel agent and paid a good amount for a "superior room". After arriving 6 am (and pay a full day) i was given room 413 which was a small single room with a ridiculous bathroom and with a 1.35 cm bed and double towells set, making it a "superior" double room. That was a swindle. Since i requested a proper double room, a snobish and arrogant receptionist sad that the room 413 met the "superior room standards" but finally agreed to change us t... Read more

We had one night in the Pullman - it is luxuriously comfortable and the staff were a constant delight. We arrived in the middle of traffic everywhere. The concierge helped us through the mess and valet parked the car - easy and just what we needed. We had room 1223 on the 12th floor - great view over the city. There was good air con in the suite - separate bedroom and loads of room in the lounge. It is a great location and very close to all you want in the city. Wifi was free for 24 hours and ... Read more
