Came up to stay with 19 of us, shared 3 bedroom rooms between as all. Penthouse room-outstanding. Everything provided In house laundry facilities in each room. 3 bedrooms had full kitchen, dinning, open plan lounge. 1 share bathroom, 1 ensuite. Staff were great. Restaurant-only had breakfast, breakfast was great, but older women serving was not, very embarrassing one of our guests being told off in front of everyone. Excellent position, extremely central, I found it quiet even thou your in heart... Read more

This hotel is strategically located in city centre. 10 min walk to the pier and 15 mins walk to the Sky Tower. Food and shopping area surrounding the hotel. There's a small supermarket there which opens at 7am which cater to all your groceries needs. Overall, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Take the high floor to avoid sound polution if you're getting into bed before 10pm. The bath room has a heater for the towels. Thumbs up for that. Only the room service is poor as I requested for a repla... Read more

I was very disappointed that City Life Hotel failed to inform us that the room we were getting through the Romance Package deal was run down. When we first entered the room on our arrival it smelt of smoke it was definitely not worth the money we spent on that deal. The room had a conjoint door to another room which was off putting because we could hear the other people in the next room and we felt there was no privacy at all especially when we booked the ROMANCE PACKAGE for a reason. Also while... Read more

Citylife is a nice enough hotel, in a great location with friendly staff. We stayed at this hotel over the weekend and really enjoyed the close proximity to everything you are wanting to see or do. The downside of the location was the noise from the nightlife which can be heard particularly in the lower floors of the hotel and also the $40 hotel parking. While the lobby is nice, the hotel rooms and facilities are a bit dated. Lastly, staff were really friendly and helpful and made it an overall ... Read more

Only there for 1 night but our stay was very nice. Clean and tidy up market rooms with everything you need. Very friendly staff. Considering where it is (in the heart of Auckland) very quiet. Would totally recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Auckland.

I spent most of times in hotels sleeping so beds are very important. The bed in this hotel, which was chosen with the help of a chiropractor, is one of the best I have slept inn and The rooms are very good. Two large TV and very good kitchen with real equipment and washing machine. Very good location in the centre. The fire alarm started one day, but I was going to wait until it would be turned, because I am used to false alarms. It was very good that Ellie the housekeeper knocked at my door and... Read more

Had a lovely break away from home. After reading reviews about being on a higher floor - was very happy that request was received and we were on the 21st floor. The suite was spacious with adjoining bedroom for the teenagers. The staff couldn't be more helpful and obliging. Will definitely visit again.

Walk down and there you are, right in the middle of Auckland City. There's a chinese restaurant and small mini market next to the hotel if you are lazy to walk far when you arrive. Otherwise, room service is available. The valet parking cost 40 dollars and its located at the back of the hotel, so on your GPS, use durnham lane instead of Queen Street. The room is small but cosy, I like the toiletries though. I can't remember the brand. Free wifi. The service and friendliness of the receptionis... Read more

I first stayed here for a couple of nights during the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and now it's my go-to accommodation in Auckland when I return to see the All Blacks at Eden Park. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and quiet, and the location is an easy walk to the Brittomart public transport hub, the Viaduct and Wynyard Quarter and the sky tower. You can valet park your car for $40/night, but I suspect a little bit of research will uncover cheaper options, as there is a Wilson's car park just be... Read more

Enjoyable stay at the CityLife. Everything as it should be, comfortable, nice kitchen. Great place to stay in Auckland. Easy to walk to ferry terminal, shops just downstairs, supermarket around the corner. Great for families or couples.

We stayed with our one year old and wanted an apartment with some space and a separate losing. The apartment was beautifully clean and serviced well. The room had a bath and beautiful bathroom products. The room service food was amazing. Staff are lovely. I could not recommend high enough! A perfect city stay.

We stayed at City Life for 3 nights and we very pleased with the hotel. I had arrived from a overnight flight from North America and because my room was ready, they let me check in at 7:00 - I was so impressed. The service from the front desk was very efficient and helpful on other occasions too. The room was visually appealing and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds EVER, so I had some great sleeps. I took advantage of the quality coffee available in the room which helped beat the cos... Read more

Fantastic location, efficient check-in. Nice and clean room, a bit small I think but still OK. Bathroom quite dated - could need some updating. General city noise noticeable even from higher lever, but expected in the city centre. Friendly porter staff always smiling and offering help. I'd definitely come back!

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Australia-New Zealand tour. Very convenient location for exploring downtown Auckland, as we were able to walk to the harbor area in minutes. All aspects of this accommodation were completely satisfactory to my wife and I. The included breakfast was very good, and the staff was attentive. Would recommend!

Stayed in a clean modern spacious room with separate bedroom and large table, couch TV area and kitchenette. No issues in room at all. Food in restaurant is quality and dinner I had there was as good as anywhere you can get. Staff very helpful. For a small hotel is is a little hidden gem on the main Queen St drag. Only issue my bedroom window was just above a pub in back lane and the smokers conversation was interesting late at night. Get a higher floor is my advice..

I would happily stay here again. Room was spacious and clean. They loaned me an adapter so I could charge my toys, and the price was right. Easy walking to the Maritime Museum and harbor. Lots of shopping & restaurants on Queen and the surrounding areas. You will be happy here.

Great hotel in the middle of the city. Not much of a view but really, this city is about getting out! The room is very large with everything you need even dishwasher :) the nice touch the staff leaves behind is what really makes it's special like fresh milk in your fridge and nice soaps in the bathroom. Plus the concierge goes out of their way to find you the perfect wine tour. You couldn't ask for anything better

Stayed here in a Deluxe suite for 3 nights, the room was of good size and layout, including washing machine and dryer. The bed was comfy and been on the 21st floor had no problem with street noise, however you do get the usual city noise of air con units etc, which didn't affect our sleep. Must give mention to all front of house staff they were great and very friendly. Location very central so will be back sometime in future

One night. I have stayed there for business a lot. Got 2 bottles of wine as a present as it was our 45th wedding anniversary plus a small gift for 20th stay. Close to Sky City where we went to Sugar Club and a convenient location. Clean and presentable room as usual.

I spent one night for a work event, and was very impressed with the efficient and friendly staff at the front desk/concierge, as well as the cleanliness and overall impression of the room itself. Spick and span room, very comfortable and spacious - I was also pleasantly surprised to have ended up with a suite (booked as part of a group booking by my employer).
