Visited this hotel on a Monday and a Thursday. Both days I booked breakfast and dinner. Both days they forgot me to give the proper amount of dinner cheques, which included coffee. When I got those cheques only after showing my reservation, twice they wanted me to pay for the coffee. The waiter who wanted me to pay, was instructed to do so by his boss and got a lot of heat from his superior when he accepted my printed reservation. But he got burned by his boss "He told me not to do this and sai... Read more

The hotel had all the facilities my wife and I needed and was a great success for our one night stay. Breakfast was extra at 15 Euros each and of good quality. The essential for me was parking, although there was a 7.50 Euro charge. Not a high price to pay for comfort and a degree of damage protection. Parking in the centre would be possible, but probably nowhere near your hotel. There is a free hourly hotel shuttle bus that will take you into the town centre, but you have to make your own way ba... My company had booked two rooms for three nights for a business trip to Maastricht. Unfortunately, the internet connection did not work on day 1 as well as for a good part of day 2. As having internet connectivity was critical for our trip, we firstly complained several times and finally asked for compensation. We suggested a 50% reduction on the stay, as the lack of internet made the first half of the stay pretty much useless. The general manager promised to check with the internet provider. Wh... Novotel Maastricht is not in the city centre, but rather a 15-20 minute walk from the train station in a different direction from going to the city centre. The walk is not that pleasant from the train station. The hotel provides a shuttle that runs from 8am to 6pm, one shuttle per hour on the clock, but it takes only 6-7 passengers in each journey, and they don't take guests back to the hotel. The staff at the front desk were generally nice and efficient. The rooms, however, were quite tired. Th... Read more

Fairly high price for accommodation. The hotel has been upgraded but in general the upgrade has been done poorly. At a rate of135 euro per room inclusive of breakfast its rather expensive. Not worth the price. In adequate reception when checking in late.

Just got back to the U.K. Yesterday from staying at this hotel. Had an absolutely superb stay. A clean well kept reception area with very welcoming and friendly staff which nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The room was very spacious and clean the only down side was for the tea/coffee making facilities it was polystyrene cups. As for the pool area was lovely to be able to sit out there and have drinks served to you. The only thing that was mildly dissatisfying was when we ordered a cockt... Read more

Very nice hotel, kind and very helpful staff, nice and very clean room, very good beds, not noisy. Wonderful dishes, delicious and nicely presented : great 3 course menu for 27,50 euro ! nice terrace and great breakfast . I just found the tourist tax a bit high but not the fault of the hotel > I would recommend this hotel.

Novotel is like McDonald's, tasteless uniformity. Well, that's no longer true. This Novotel in Maastricht is the worse Novotel have been to in years. The price is good for a deserted Sunday night. The cost for 2 mediocre breakfasts is outrageous though. The hallways are smelly and worn out. Beds are old and way over the hill. Most appalling; when ordering 2 drinks at the bar and asking for a glass of water on the side we had to pay the water. What is this!! Maastricht is much to nice to be spo... Read more

at first instance the hotel looked small from outside but as you see your room , you feel very comfortble and relaxed, the hotel provided us extra folding double bed cum sofa for the child, which was excellent. full led tv with lots of kids channel, a dedicated playing area for small kids, playing ground with swings and slides, a special kids menu for dinner. i was very satisfied and could'nt ask for more. additionally they provide hourly shuttle service to central station and city center. there... Normal Business Hotel, location on the outer skirts of Maastricht. if you have a room facing the street, be aware you can't sleep with open window due to traffic noise. Not many restaurants around in walking distance. Staff super friendly and helpful. Bit on the downside 7.5 Euro for parking overnight :-(

We received a very warm welcome, everybody in Maastricht is so kind and helpful. It is just off the centre, very quiet. We booked through a travel agency and I had told them about the Gluten and Lactose situation and even though the hotel seemed not to be aware of this situation the Chef of which here I personally thank so much improvised some very good gluten free food, I only wish they had provided also lactose free too but I managed to get some items from a store which was around 1Km away. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three days when visiting Maastricht to attend a concert and I have to say that I find the comments made by the reviewer 'VoyageurEurope' quite incomprehensible. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful: the rooms were comfortable, providing for an excellent quality of sleep and I had no problem with the housekeeping. The outside area was clean with an excellent swimming pool. My only criticism relates to the breakfast which I cons... Read more

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Maastricht Novotel whilst attending the Andre Rieu concert in the city. The hotel is modern and has a variety of rooms, a restaurant, bar and outside seating area near to the hotels own swimming pool.We opted for a superior room which was well appointed and no problems there at all. The hotel is located a few kilometres from the city centre and there are no cafes, pubs or restaurants nearby. The hotel does have a free shuttlebus which takes guests to the... Read more

We visited Maastricht to hear Andre Rieu performing in the Vitrof. We had delayed making our hotel booking, which meant that there were no rooms in the city centre. We were pleased to be able to book a couple of nights at this hotel which is located on the other side of a busy dual carriageway, so not in the main city centre, but only a 5-7 minute taxi ride from the station or city centre. We couldn't hear any traffic noise from the road. The hotel was modern and spacious, with a pleasant garde... Read more

Thank you to the lovely staff who helped us throughout our visit. Great language skills and keen to offer advice. Quite possibly the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in despite being very busy. No nightime disturbance of any sort! Rooms are good but a little worn. Shower was lovely and separate toilet was good news! Pool is great but a bit nippy, breakfast is a really good continental selection. Lunch and dinner are slightly pricey but fine. Only a 15 min walk from town and the station or... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Amazing food in the mornings and night, really friendly service! The twin room was brilliant with two double beds and great bathrooms. Fully recommended and I'll definitely be looking out for this hotel chain in the future! Thanks for a nice stay.

We have stayed in many hotels worldwide of all classes From budget to 5 star but the Novotel Maastricht 4 star - No way I sometimes wonder what some people expect from reading reviews. Before I booked this hotel I knew it was not near the city centre and that parking was charged for, also that the (poor) shuttle bus could not pick up in Maastricht for a return journey. This information is easily available on various web sites. This is the first 4 star hotel that I have stayed in that pro... Read more

We stayed here for 1 night to break up a drive to Germany. It is a lovely hotel with really friendly staff. They all speak lots of languages:) room was great. Kids slept on a sofa bed and toilet was in a separate room to bathroom. Pool was good if a little cold! Lots of sun beds and a playground for kids. Really accommodating for children. They also put on a shuttle into city and we went out for dinner. Do get the hotel to give u card for local cab as then price is fixed, we called and he p... Read more

This is a typically quirky hotel from Novotel. The room was comfortable, although not large. The reception area modem and clean. The bar and breakfast/dining area were quite nice with lots of glass looking out on to the garden and pool. The real problem was the staff who, although they were friendly and very willing to help, just didn't have a clue. Everything that we asked them to do seemed to be something they were doing for the first time and it consequently took far longer than it should. I ... Read more

Anyone that has stayed at Novotels in the past must pretty much know what to expect. Budget accommodation, service and comfort. Let me be honest and say that the accommodation is no better than your standard Novotel European hotel. I personally have no problem with this - uniformity means familiarity which, as a frequent traveller, is important. As-per the title of this review, it is the staff at the hotel that makes it stand out from other Novotels. I don't know how to describe it but every si... Read more
