Hotel is located quiet centrally in the city center. However it is way no Grand Hotel. Rooms urgently need renovation. Windows are very thin and not very well isolated. No room cards, however old fashioned keys which have to be handed over whenever leaving the hotel. Everything a bit old fashioned and stuck behind. Staff however was very friendly. Wifi was good.

I was here on a business trip. The room cost ‚?¨74 which just about ok. The Hotelis situated close to the train station in the center, nearby the pedestrian zone.It says it has four or five stars- never! It is one of these buildings that were modern in the 1950s and now are just ugly. There is nearly no lobby space, the breakfast room is small, everything seems not really architectured for a hotel. The rooms are of normal size clean and even though the main city church is right next to the hotel... Read more

Just like everyone has reviewed this Old out dated clean hotel. Yes the staff is friendly if you say and do what the want and hear. Came to paint my house that I'm renting out in Hilversum. My friend decided to stay longer and get it finished so I extended the stay now that was fun it worked out like we a a business hotel so it cost now 20 euro per night extra good one now that also after a friend came on the weekend Saturday night and cost 10 euro extra because not booked on trip advisor thanks... Stayed 2 nights on a room only basis in a junior suite. The room was spacious and clean. The large bed is quite low to the ground but sleep quality was good. There was a large bathroom and good water pressure in the shower. Other than two soap/shampoo dispensers and shower cap there wer on other toiletries provided. There was also a balcony, but the doors/windows leading to it are quite old and dated. The overall impression is of faded opulence. Nevertheless it is very competitively priced and t... Read more

The rooms are all priced the same but vary considerably. I had room 204 which was really lovely and well worth the 4 stars. My travelling companion had room 216 which was a third the size and quite Spartan. Both rooms had balconies which was nice, but 204 has a much better view from the balcony. The rooms are lovely and clean, the beds comfortable, the curtains black out well. As for the architecture, Art Deco looks like Art Deco! What else ought it to look like? I will be returning in July alo... Read more

My sister lives in Hilversum so when we visit we usually stay with her but this time it was her 40th and she had a house full so we booked into this hotel. Its looks old and run down from outside and inside is no better, we were in room 211 which is so basic and out of date, even the bedside digital clock was something from the 90's. No air con in the room and the wall facing the outside was steel so the room was like a furnace, it was so hot we had the leave the balcony door open all night whi... Read more

First of all this hotel must have gotten their 4* rating in the same year they last upgrades their interior..which must be around 1993 or so. No minibar or small fridge in the room, no Climate control and horrible cheap handsoap=shampoo=showergel stuff.. So better bring your own! If you just need a place to stay, its a fair deal since the rooms are spacious, clean and cheap. But Don't expect any form of 4* luxury :)

It's just about passable as a shabby 2-3 star place to lay your head. It's clean but dated and utterly charmless. Everything badly needs updating, the tired furniture and clinical foyer gives a poor impression that continues in the corridors and rooms. Breakfast is simple and does the job.
