I stayed here during a recent business trip and was thrilled to have such a large room. I did not enjoy the separate water closet for the toilet. I like to be able to wash my hands without having to go through two different doors. The restaurant had lovely buffets for both breakfast and lunch. There were plenty of selections for even the pickiest of eaters.

The hotel is just amazing, no matter where in Netherlands I travel I stay here... Not just because it is a modern hotel, the rooms are huge and also the bathroom, the view amazing, the restaurant on the highest possible level and the service very helpful and friendly.

We were traveling for the Dort in Steam event, the hotel was a pot luck internet find and turned out to be fabulous, a luxurious room, huge balcony, over the top walk in shower room and separate toilet. Free use of the small fridge, and safe ( usually carry a charge for these things). The hotel has a fitness centre at the top and a sky bar, regular bar on the ground floor and a very good restaurant. Breakfast is a choice of cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, pastries, and full cooked break... Read more

Stayed four nights for the Dordt in Stoom event in a family suite, myself, my husband and our 18 year old son. It was fabulous, the rooms were huge, my son had his own room with TV and balcony. The bathroom was luxurious. Nice additions of a fridge and safe. We ate a couple of evening meals and breakfast, good selection and perfectly acceptable to good food. The hotel was very busy but staff were always polite and helpful. Restuarant service was very good. There is a fitness centre and swimming... Read more

We stayed in a "family" room that was a pair of huge bedrooms that you could probably have fitted 5 double beds into. The bathroom had both a large bath and a walk-in shower. The restaurant is very large but efficient and the food was excellent, especially the "freezing chocolate" dessert, which if you have children with you is a must-buy! There were three vegetarian main courses, one of which they adapted into a vegan choice for my wife. The staff could not have been friendlier (we arrived ... Read more

For a recent city trip to Rotterdam, we decided to stay at this hotel for the wellness facilities. Upon arriving, there was ample free parking on the ground floor and in the basement. People with a handicap should park outside since you cannot take the elevator up from the basement (stairs to elevator). Slightly substandard welcome, we were not provided with any other information other than the room number and one key (you can ask for an extra key, which you will need for the wellness if you tra... The room we had on the 9th floor was spacious and clean. The beds are reasonably comfortable (you get 2 singles pushed together) although the mattresses probably need replacing because they're lumpy. The location is in the middle of an industrial estate so unless you have a car you'll need to eat here. The quality of food varies wildly in terms of consistency - breakfast is a typical Dutch assortment of processed meat, processed cheese, processed pastries, sausage, eggs and fruit/yogurt, as we... The location of the hotel itself isn't fantastic but the wider area is great to explore by car or bicycle. The food is great (both dinner and breakfast). Our room was enormous and looked recently refurbished. We're quite spoiled travellers, but were impressed by the room.

I stayed here for one night for a business meeting in June. The hotel has very large rooms what is very convenient. It's a pretty new hotel and designed beautifully. Breakfast is also very good, lots of choice and delicious. The hotel is far from Dordrecht centre, the upside to that is that you park your car easily on the huge parking place.

The hotel is very well located for guests with a car. It's right by the highway and yet surprisingly quiet thanks to excellent insulation. The hotel is new. The rooms are very spacious and have a nice personal feel thanks to the tasteful decoration. We had a superior corner room with lots of light thanks to large ceiling to floor windows and a huge balcony. The bathroom was likewise enormous and had a shower (type rain shower) as well as a bathtub. The toilet was separated from the bathroo... Read more

A clean and comfortable business hotel offering nice large and modern rooms. Good dining, lunch and breakfast. Amazing pool, sauna and gym. Suites could be booked with sky panaramic sauna. A good start of the day and rest place to come to while on business.

If you need to be in this area, the Van der Valk Dordrecht hotel is truly advisable, if not the best choice! Have stayed here several times and the last visit was again a very good experience. The superior room is large and fully equiped (bath AND shower), Nespresso coffee machine,... and even being so close to the autoroute, with the window closed you don't hear any noise (nor from the corridor). The very nice swimming pool and excellent breakfast certainly are some more highlights of this ho... Read more

Stayed ( again) for a couple of nights. Enjoyed evening meal in the restaurant which was tasty and very filling. The following night the sun was shining, so I borrowed a bike for the evening and rode into town for something different to eat. Bikes were good, and of course being Holland the route was nearly all on cycle paths.

I was doing a lecture here so very convenient. However, when I got to my room, there was urine in the toilet and garbage in the basket. Obviously not cleaned! As a consolation, they offered me a free drink. Other than that, staff is friendly and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was no big deal. Had to leave early in the morning and front desk seemed uncaring at that time. Not sure if I would return.

Not much to do around this hotel but the facilities and rooms and bar a good enough to pass the time. Food in restaurant is varied but average fare. This was a quick stop but will stay again as it has potential.

After almost one month of traveling through Europe, with my wife we needed to rest for one day on a non touristy place, we needed a hotel were we didn't feel the need to go out and do something, we couldn't have done better. We took the wellness room, with the sauna in it, and we loved it. The room is pretty big and having the sauna in it just makes it your private spa. We really enjoyed our stay. Before getting there we stopped at a supermarket and bought a bottle of wine and some snacks, and... Read more

We were made The bus from Dortretch does not run on a Sunday but there is a bus , number 8 from Dordrecht Centraal Station every hour to the hotel and the bus stop is at the main gate of the hotel. The room, the furnishings, the view were super but the main feature for my daughter and I was the magnificent heated swimming pool and sauna on the 14th floor. The b... Read more

My second stay at the Van De Valk Dordrecht and surely it wont be my last. Its a very good hotel, large 'comfort' rooms, the 'superior' rooms with a bath are even better and worth the little extra. Reception staff are excellent as is the breakfast..well worth taking and having in your room rate. The wellness centre 'only' has a pool , a sauna and a gym - sadly no jacuzzi but is still most welcome. Location is fine if you have a car with plenty of free parking, and only 10 minutes to downtown Dor... Read more

The rooms are fantastic. Really big and have lovely bathrooms. The nexpresso coffee machine was also a nice touch. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Dinner was ok. There was a large group of people dining at the same time. The waiting on staff were very stretched and came across as rude.

The new kind of this known hotel chain. We've had dinner in the great restaurant. Portions are immense! Almost America like. Restaurant is very beautifull decorated and can compete with every other midclass restaurant.
