Thank you very much, NH!!! And if you want to sleep, wake up ang go in the city. The noise is unbealivable, 2 bars nearby!

Booked through an online agency, it was a very well situated hotel. The decor was gorgeous and the greeting from hotel staff very friendly. On entering our room we were not surprised by its size {thoroughly researched before leaving the UK}. Although on the small size it had everything we needed, modern and very clean. The standard of the fixtures and fittings were top notch! We had arrived very late and ordered from room service which was very prompt, a picnic in our room was a novel way to sta... Read more

Myself and my partner stayed here for our One Year anniversary and it couldn't have been better!! From check in, the staff were fantastic and highly knowledgable about the city. They helped us up with our bags and showed us to our room. The room.. Wow! We were put on the top floor, overlooking the canal. What a beautiful room. Nice and big, very clean and had such a lovely, welcoming feel to it. They had kindly put some 'love swans' out of towels, with rose petals, a nice bottle of wine an... Read more

Excellent localization in the center of town, friendly staff and cleanliness - the three most important points of this hotel. It features good lighting, comfortable bed and a huge TV. But what really captivated me - a shower in the bathroom. Thank you for a good idea for my bathroom.

I stayed in this beautiful hotel only for one night (unfortunatly) but I am glad I chose it among the multitude of hotels in the city. It is incredibly central but quiet at the same time which is what I love. My room was nice and clean, not very big but that's quite normal in Amsterdam. Very comfortable bed, nice sheets Shower has got a nice powerful cascade of water, I guess there's an abundance of water in the Netherlands! I had breakfast in the morning and the breakfast room is very very very... Read more

The hotel has been recently renovated and the result is wonderful: bright, spacious bedrooms, modern bathrooms and a handy in-room refreshment corner all make the stay comfortable and pleasant. If you sleep with a window open, best to select a canal side room as the wandering merry-makers do walk by all night long on the weekends! The location is my favourite feature as it's perfectly situated for exploring of the city by foot, bike or boat; one can easily and safely reach all the Amsterdam hig... Read more

The room was fairly nice however it didn't have AC in it which was a very big issue for me and my husband because it was very hot at night, so instead they gave us a fan that didn't help. When we first checked the bell man did not even assist us with our bag, my husband was struggling to get the bags out of the taxi while the bellman just stood there unbothered to even assist us. We stayed here for 3 nights, on arrival we were early for check in but staff took our bags and had our room ready in an hour. We stayed on the 5th floor looking out towards Rembrandtplien. The views were great and the balcony was really nice. Big bed and great shower with all essentials incl shampoo and conditioner. No real bad points at all, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were lovely and the location was great.

This hotel offers the best combination of luxury, location, and excellent service in Amsterdam. 2 minute walk to restaurants and shops and 10 minute walk to Train station. This hotel has a lovely location that is in a nice part of downtown Amsterdam. Service was friendly and efficient. Rooms were small (normal for Amsterdam) but nicely appointed. Room service was fast and very polite, the food itself was just okay. I would have given this hotel five stars if it wasn't for the terribly slow free internet. We were forced to pay for the upgraded internet to be able to get a decent enough speed to hold a skype voice call. And even once we paid for the upgrad... Read more

I booked this Hotel for a short break in Amsterdam for 3 nights. ARRIVAL Upon arrival we were told that were given a 'free' upgrade to a room (No. 502) with a nice view. The guest relations people were nice and friendly and the hotel looked quite up market. . . We had to pay upfront for the whole cost of the room, and pay a Euro100 deposit for the mini-bar. My husband and I recently stayed at the NH Collection Doelen. We had a brilliant weekend, the location is fantastic for all Ansterdam has to offer. The rooms were Bijou. The fixtures and fittings solid. First off, the hotel is very easy to find. From the airport, take the train to Central and then one metro stop; it's a 10 minute walk from there, along the canal. The staff provide a warm welcome. I was upgraded to a superior room. The room was decorated completely in white - very striking - and had a window which opened up onto a small terrace. Perfect for working in the July heat! Had a lovely stay for our honeymoon with an early check in despite us arriving at 10am. All the staff were amazing and very accommodating. My only gripe (and a very small one) is that that the room had a lift outside the door which got a bit noisy with staff chatting and moving around but really only a small gripe. Beautiful view of the canal and comfy bed.

This charming property beats Relais Chateaux for one reason - the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. We were actually treated like family; the showed genuine concern for our welfare, reacting joyfully each time we returned from a venture on the challenging streets of Amsterdam. We paid for a "Superior" room and on arrival we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to having a canal view. We agreed - but we couldn't see the canal without hanging out the window. The biggest problem I had with the "Superior" room is that I couldn't fit onto the toilet! The toilet was set back into a wall. I had to distort my body to do my business. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room with great view over canal. The restaurant (swych) is absolutely fantastic - a 'flexitarian' offer that showcases vegetables with meat / fish as side dishes. The roasted cauliflower was outstanding! As others have mentioned - there is some noise from passing revellers but i suspect that would be the case at almost any central hotel. All in all - a great find. Will definitely return.
