Location is across the road to the railway station and all tram access. Right next to Damrak, plenty of places to eat/drink and shop. The rooms are clean, spacious, tidy, comfortable beds, free wifi, plus tea and coffee facilities. My visit was just for one night sharing a twin room with a friend. We arrived in the evening and when we went to the room realised that is was unusually hot with the a/c temp. Having had a disappointing stay at the Groups hotel by Rome station we booked here with caution..But worries unfounded it was a superb stay..Again a revamped hotel but tastefully done.Spacious rooms, clean and a Breakfast which could say was the best we have had for many a year..Attentive staff which had been our problem before in Rome. We booked on the NH collection web site and got a better deal than from other sites. So well worth looking there first..

The rooms are clean and I understand recently renovated. No carpet just hardwood floors which is nice. Comfy beds (little one hard side) but many of our group could not get a double, they only had singles remaining. Bathrooms very nice with a good shower. It can be noisy especially in the front of the hotel, however I had a court side room and could hear some of the other guests. Food was excellent and above average for a hotel. Travelling comprises many facets. In my view, it is mostly intended to broaden oneâ??s mind and to build memories. This is the part that is actually quite easy. All it requires is a good â??bucket listâ?? and an informed choice of destination and.... voila! However getting there, quality of accommodation and service form an important part of that experience. So when I decided to spoil my wife by booking the 5 star NH Collection Barbizon hotel in Amsterdam, I expected the â??quality of accomm... Read more

The superior room I stayed in was lovely, very spacious and had everything I needed. The bathroom in particular was fantastic. I was originally given a ground floor room on the canal level however it was a bit dark as it did not let in much light. I was then given a room on the 4th floor and this really made my stay in Amsterdam great. The staff are all very accommodating and were always there night and day to help. The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room did not work. I did... Read more

Really convenient to central station so getting the train from the airport.was straightforward then just walking out of the station to see the hotel across the water was great. Staff, room, food, everything 100%. I'm fussy so this is rare! Convenient to walk around many areas and glad I stayed here on my first visit. Beds very comfy and room immaculate. Breakfast expensive but just by the hotel there are great places to eat for about â?¬6-8 so try that. Stay here!

Spotless room, free and fast Wi-Fi. Perhaps the best asset is the location. It is less than a 5-minute walk from the Central Station, so whether train, tram, or subway, you are easily covered, even if you are hauling luggage. It is also around the corner from the shops, restaurants, and, er, entertainment of the RLD. Places like the Jordaan are just a short walk away. Well recommended.

We were put at this hotel by Viking Cruises for an extention. The location is very close to Central Station so close to canal cruises and tram. Our room was nice but unfortunately it was hot weather and their AC units don't keep up. We slept on top of our comforter. High end appointments, laminate wood floors. Our view was of other peoples rooms. Many good restaurants within a 5 minute walk, good neighborhood.

I'm not gonna write the location is great as anyone who is checking a hotel online will check the location on the map. Or take a tram ride almost from anywhere as this is the final destination for most of the trams. The room service is expensive. We paid almost 20 euros for 2 bottles of water.
