Lovely accommodating staff but very noisy as its right on the square. Didn't realise mini bar wasn't free as didn't tell us anywhere and we read full welcome manual. Other than that, a very comfortable stay and pleasant visit. I paid extra for a cake etc as it was my partners birthday and it was super nice they even prepared balloons and wine assess in pics. They also wished him happy birthday on arrival which I thought was nice. Will return :)

location is the main point for the hotel. Ask for a room in the back, as the front rooms can be quite noisy all night and early morning, due to the crowd in the place and to the cleaners in the morning!!! the rooms are good size, coffee and tea is provided. close to all main bus - subways. 10 mn walks from anything!!! the check in and check out... not so great. I've seen more polite and at the check out the lady was useless to get a taxi. not impresses with the service

you will see a theme amongst the reviews and the first point is the great location of the hotel. Rembrandt Square is almost exclusively bars and restaurants so there is a wide choice right on the doorstep and all of the major attractions are within walking distance. The downside of the location is the noise, but we had a room at the rear and we didn't have any trouble sleeping. The only other thing to note was that they filmed a TV show there on two of the nights we were there that meant the bar... Read more

The hotel was lovely, tiny rooms like in all of Amsterdam, but great service! Everyone was really nice and courteous. The location was the best part, in the middle of bars and restaurant and a short distance from everything. Loved it. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the city.

From arriving to leaving the staff show they care. Receptionists are bright and helpful breakfast staff in particular look after their guests really well. The rooms are simple, efficient and we were on the 2nd floor with a view of gardens at the back of the hotel. Also very quiet for a Hotel on a vibrant square. Bedankt NH Schiller

Great centrally located in the mid of Rembrentplein. It can get a bit noisy in some rooms as its right in the middle of the plaza, but they provide ear plugs. Rooms are reasonable sized for a right-in-centre hotel. The bathroom was nice and spacious. Did as for two separate beds as I was sharing the room with a colleague but were given two separate beds pulled together to make a queen. That was really the only minor problem. Would definitely stay at NH hotels again and would recommend to ot... Read more

Great location at Rembrandt Place. Hop on the tram outside the door, or just walk to nearby local attractions. Delicious and ample breakfast included. Old world charm. The area is wild on a Saturday night, until about 4 in the morning. No A/C, which apparently is not needed, except on one of the nights we were there! A fan is in the room and that worked out fine. A big thanks to Koen at the front desk who was exceptionally helpful - numerous times! All staff was very accommodating and helpful!

I had high expectations for this hotel, particularly because of its location and it's four star rating. It was truly disappointing from the moment we arrived. We had booked a suite which turned out to be a regular size room with a love seat. The room faced the street and the noise from the plaza outfront and the cannabis cafe below our window kept us up almost all night. With no central air and closed windows due to the noise, the room was stifling! At 1 o'clock in the morning the staff was kin... Read more

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Should get five stars but for two things: noisy and cold. The noise was from the TV show they film in the bar downstairs. I had to get up early and the noise really bothered my sleep. Also, the room was cold. I was told it would be sorted - it never was.

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. Standard room small but clean. We were on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel and after reading some of the comments was worried about how noisy it can be. You could not be in a better location in central Amsterdam than this place. I had a very comfortable stay and although the view from the room wasn't much to write home about, in the end I mostly use hotels for a few hours to sleep! The streets are jet washed every night to ensure the square continues to look immaculate, the monuments are surrounded by a lovely green and between the market and the street entertainment there is alway something going on! Firstly it was too over priced for a 4 star hotel, suite with terrace and view has no furniture on the the terrace, what is the point of a terrace with no chairs or tables, the room it's self was tiny for a Jr. Suite, size of a standard room. Would not recommend to anyone. Lastly was not informed of the events happening which was disturbing, if I knew I would have booked somewhere else.

Just about to leave this hotel after a 4 night stay,it's location is fabulous and the rooms are cosy and clean. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment and we also asked for a room at the back of the hotel so I wouldn't know about the noise from the square people sometimes mention. When we return to Amsterdam I'd have no hesitation booking this hotel once again.....a little note there's plenty of good bars and restaurants in the close proximity of the hotelū???

Was so impressed with the service as well as the hotel in general. It was my partners birthday during our stay and on arrival they had picked up on this and left a card and some goodies in the room. I needed a doctor the first night and they were very helpful in getting someone to us within half an hour. After the doctor left they came to the room with some fresh fruit and a get well card! The position of the Schiller is great with easy access to the main attractions and to and from the airport... Read more

When we booked this hotel there was no mention of a live Dutch TV show broadcast each night Monday to Friday this meant no restaurant or bar after 7pm (although there were many bars and restaurants within the area). Luckily I had a room opposite side to the square no noise, but other family members had a room overlooking the square, so the noise from outside with live to show going on was not so good. Will return to Amsterdam as this was a great family holiday but will not use this hotel ever ... Read more
