Fantastic location in the heart of a very lively square, surrounded by bars and restaurants, however that comes at price - earplugs come as standard in the rooms especially if your room over looks the square, very noisy until 4am so sleep is difficult. The room was very hot and small so I would have liked the window open but that was not possible due to the noise. Room was clean but black mould on the tile grout surrounding the bath was not pleasant. Towels were small and rough. Had to ask twi... Read more

Amazing location, only a short walk to the city, lively bars and cafes all around. Friendly staff. Spacious and clean rooms, would definitely recommend! The views of the square are fantastic. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the cleaning staff seemed non-existent but every day our beds' sheets were changed, ghosts they were. When we arrived they told us that the deluxe room we had booked had been given to someone else so they upgraded us free of charge. We had a front facing room which looked over the square. The location is great for those not wanting the busy dam square, but are prepared to walk 5-10 minutes to get into the city centre. Ove... Read more

This hotel is in a fab location in the centre of Amsterdam. The customer service we have received has been excellent. From an early check in after a long flight to a lovely gift of chocs for anniversary, plus a call from the manager. The bedrooms are clean, plenty of hot water, good heating, good comfy beds, lovely cotton sheets. The location on Rembrandt square is very useful but can be noisy. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the square.... Great to watch all the people and not too noisy up... Read more

Perfect for a walking weekend. Situated in an exciting part of Amsterdam, with something to do in every direction. The rooms are modern and clean. The bar is too. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for their excellent hospitality!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The stuff are very nice and welcoming. The room is a bit small but it wasn't a big deal for us. There is a free wifi (good one) in the hotel, and the hotel is located at agreat place.

And I gave it glowing reviews. But I also only suggested it for the true off season winter because of noise issues. Now I can't even do that. The staff is still great, the location is dead perfect, the rooms are still good, and the breakfast is excellent. It would be a great place to stay if you did not need sleep. Or if you did not want to sleep until at least 3:30 am when the noise slowed down. Now there is no off season. And the idea of having a TV show with the crowds and noise at night ... Read more

We booked the hotel for our 4 year anniversary, I left a note Whilst booking to see if we could be upgraded, on arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite, all staff were helpful at the hotel but in particular Zoe was outstanding and made our stay even better, we were welcomed with chocolates and balloons in our room which made the stay extra special. A great location with easy tram/walking access. A big thanks again to Zoe!

We arrived on our 10th anniversary to a lovely fruit & chocolate platter in our room and balloons on the bed!! Our room was toward the back of the hotel and was nice and quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful with where we should go whilst in Amsterdam. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so not sure what it was like. Would definitely stay there again if we went back to Amsterdam.

The location for perfect stay in Amsterdam can not be better than on Rembrantsplein. Everything is close by, and if you have room facing the courtyard, it will be very quiet. This hotel has great history and is quite popular, but it looks a bit dated and some parts are in need for refurbishment. Some rooms are very small, so it may be a good idea to double check the room type when booking.
