I've just returned from this hotel. Had a fantastic time in Amsterdam. We were a party of 4 couples and we loved the hotel. Great central position and obviously was recently refurbished as was clean, fresh and had nice new feeling. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The room was small but you expect that sometimes with a city centre hotel. We all had rooms with a view of the canal which was lovely. 3 of our rooms were booked together and one couple had booked separately and had booked a... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay at NH city centre. The location is superb with close access to restaurants, cafes, cycle hire, funky shops and supermarkets. We walked to all the tourist spots covering quite a few kilometres every day. We were very happy with our spotless room. Decor is contemporary and pretty cool. Nice touches like Nespresso machine in bedroom. Had breakfast one day only as we hadn't booked B and B. It was lovely with smoothies, fresh fruit, cooked eggs, bacon, fresh juices, pastrie... Just stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Its nice, clean, and up to date. It is on a not so busy street but the back side of the hotel faces one of the canals. There are several restaurants, small cafes, and bars just outside the door - however the area is not overly loud or busy. Well within walking distance to anything in the center city area. The room we stayed in was a little on the smallish side but everything was nice and fresh and the double bed was really comfortable. The hallways... Read more

Wonderful hotel at very strategic location. The service is perfect, the room is too good to mention. Serving great breakfast, not too many choices, but always fresh and filling. Wonderful interior design at the Restaurant area, and great helpful staff. Tram station is just a stone away from the hotel, very convenient. Shopping area, restaurant and bar, flower market are just next door. I love Amsterdam, and this Hotel make me love Amsterdam even more. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the NH City Centre Amsterdam for 2 nights, and we really rate this place if you are planning on visiting Amsterdam. I can't comment on the food at the hotel, as we only booked for the room and we ate out for all our meals, but I can say that the staff are friendly, the rooms are lovely and clean, and the hotel itself is in an amazing location - we never once had to use public transport, and were a few minutes walk away from Dam Square, and not far at all from eaterie... I booked this hotel for my boyfriends 21st birthday, with me and two other friends in October 2015 (27th-30th October). I booked the standard room with a view for me and my boyfriend. This is a long review, hope it‚??s helpful! I have to say the hotel itself was lovely, big and well furnished. It did look pretty corporate/modern, with not much character, so it seemed suited for businessmen. Though when we was there, we did see travellers, couples and families. There are a number of great restaurants nearby, it is easy working distance to a number of the tourist attractions and it is handy for business (if your meeting is in central Amsterdam). Great location, on canals and short walk from Dam square. Room big and clean, not much of design though. Breakfast was terrible! Kept running out of plates, glasses, food and it was not replaced, until guests ask for it. One morning toaster was broken, next morning put a sign - broken. Surely could have sourced a toaster for a big hotel like that? No cups for hot drinks, instead ceramic glasses (more like plant pots), which burnt fingers! I stayed there in July 2015. The hotel is very nice, quite and serves the purpose of those who wants to enjoy Amsterdam the city and crash in for few hours to get some sleep! The location is perfect, near by all public transportation stations, and most of the city attractions.

We stayed in hotel 4 nights. While room was small, we had a fridge and room to sit and plan our days. Breakfast was excellent great choices and eggs cooked while you wait and champagne if you want it. Reception very busy and had to wait to ask information. No mirror in actual room and I'm only 152cms and found things in bathroom hard to reach. Large comfortable bed. Weekend there was no replacement tea and coffee, guess they were busy. Walk out back entrance to canal. Lots of eateries nearby. Wa... Read more

Arriving from the US mid-morning our room was not going to be ready until after 2pm. While this is not unusual, while waiting in the lobby one of our bags was stolen. The hotel staff was not overly concerned and didn't even call the police. While video surveillance was in place they would/could not view until the next day. I was told to wait until then and then to file a police report.

Fantastic refurb, modern rooms, wonderful friendly staff and, most importantly a great breakfast. A few minor imperfections - door didn't close properly, one tea cup. But this is a great place to stay in Amsterdam, lots of bars etc close by.

Staying in the NH City Centre Amsterdam was a great choice in my visit to the city. The personal was very kind and warm, especially Sri, a happy woman willing to give you a smile EVERY SINGLE TIME. The location is really good and lets you travel across the centre in a matter of minutes by walk. REMARKABLE breakfast and very clean rooms. I would recommend it every time!

Location: Excellent. Hotel located on very quiet street (Spuistraat). Turn left and seven minutes walk to Dam Square, 15 minutes to Central Station, 30 minutes walk to Museumplein. Turn right and in two minutes you are in beautiful plaza with English Book store, shops and cafes-restaurants. Service: Because of busy time (I saw a lot of quests) we didn‚??t get room at eleven o‚??clock. But suitcases were placed in storage and we got room about 3 PM. Service is okay, but I think that many front de... Read more

Stayed here for a short weekend break. The hotel is in a perfect location. We got the train from the airport to Central Station and then got on Tram 1 ( you can get either 1 or 5 from Central Station) and it brings you to within a 3 minute walk from the hotel. It really is in a fantastic location and all tourist attractions are close by and within walking distance. The rooms were big, comfy and quite with really comfortable beds and pillows. I stayed at this Hotel for the IBC convention, the hotel has been recently renewed, bed are very comfortable, the room and the Bathroom are spacious something you appreciated in Amsterdam. breakfast is OK, but lack of variety. Location is perfect a lot of nice restaurants and bars around, and waking distance for the shopping streets, and almost every attraction is near by. A good tip if you use UBER or ask for a taxi ask them to pick you up on the door that's face the canal this will save you a... Read more

NH Hotel City Centre Amsterdam quotes 2km as the distance from the main railway station but it is only 1.5km, as long as you don't go exploring along the way. The main museums, the university, the principal sites - they are within easy walking distance. The hotel has a front entrance on to the busy Spuirstraat but the back door leads to the canal side, complete with cafes, a cheese shop and more bicycles than you could believe. Check in for us and, by the look of it, for most others was q... Read more

Great location, walking distance to most of Amsterdam. The breakfast was very good and a perfect chance to plan your day.

The hotel is situated in a wonderful location. very central and convenient. Three minutes' walk from the Dam square. Rooms are very clean but also very small which is my only criticism about this hotel. We got a room that was too small for two adults with not enough room for luggage. Breakfast was great, big verity with everything you need. Very friendly staff especially during breakfast a lady called Siri was really nice and helpful. we stayed there for 4 nights.

The room was clean, nice bedding and it was a bonus the window could be opened for fresh air. The bathroom was nice, with a good shower. The cleaning staff were friendly and efficient. ... Read more

We've stayed 4 nights at the hotel. Easy to reach simply walking from Amsterdam Central train station (about 10'), sorrounded by shops and restaurants, Rooms were comfortable and staff was polite and friendly without exceptions, trying to resolve any issues or needs. Breakfast is also a high point, a good way to start the day prepared to walk, as most of old town attractions are very close to the hotel. We recently stayed for a couple nights of nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated in really good location, close enough to walk to all the most popular places as well as being close to the beautiful Jordaan area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are slightly less modern than the rest of the hotel but are more than adequate.

Great location in the centre of Amsterdam, 5 mins walk to Dam Square and 10 mins to the station. Modern contemporary rooms (although my room had no bath, just a shower). Breakfast superb (even offered champagne) and the service from the waitresses was excellent. Reception staff helpful with taxi's, things to do, the weather, posting cards home etc. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

The hotel is globally better than what I was expecting. Large reception, large modern rooms, comfortable, good service, large desk in the room, all amenities, excellent location... One negative point though, which has been very detrimental to my stay, is the internet, which was simply appalling. I came here for business and I could not do most of my work because of this. If there is one area that this otherwise excellent hotel has to improve, especially for business travellers, it's the interne... Read more
