We stayed at Sir Albert hotel for six nights in May 2016. Great and helpful staff at the reception always eager to help and answer our questions about places to visit and restaurant suggestions. The hotel and the room were very clean and beautifully decorated. We also had dinner one night at the hotel's restaurant Izakaya and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is situated at a great location, a bit away from center so you get a more of a local feeling and at the same time very easy to access the ... Read more

It was February 2016, we were on our honeymoon and stayed 4 nights in this classy Design Hotel. We took the Sir Bootique/Deluxe Double room, and the bed was super comfortable, we enjoyed the hotel music steamed in our room via awesome Geneva speakers. Everything was so perfectly placed, and provided instantly on request. Bathrooms were super clean and toiletries were very good. Bathtub and Shower were very nice too. The hotel is fabulous, especially the Staff. They kept balloons on the bed, gree... Read more

We stayed in 3 hotels during our 10 day stay at Amsterdam this May, and our stay at Sir Albert was by far the most comfortable and pleasing for all. The rooms are impeccable, the decor riveting, the staff most helpful and friendly, and the location perfect! My permanent choice for Amstedam.

I really liked this hotel. The room was very comfortable, the service from staff was excellent, and the location in De Pijp is great. 35EUR for valet parking is at the very top end of what I'd consider acceptable, but not many of you reading this will be arriving in your own car so I doubt it matters. Not sure I'd pay the £200+ per night it seems to command online in advance, but I picked up a room for £120ish on a Last Minute type site and that seemed like good value to me. Definitely one t... Long overdue review, but as I keep remembering my experience and telling friends, I knew I needed to tell all... First of all, this was the best check in experience I've ever had in any kind of travel. Walking past the fun, lively restaurant bar to the right and the couches and inviting fireplaces to the left, we found the welcome area to check in. Jeffrey greeted us warmly, invited us to sit down at his desk, poured us each a glass of champagne while he proceeded to check us in...not just to... Read more

I really appreciated that I could stay in the restaurant an hour after breakfast closed and finish my work before the taxi picked me up. They never asked me to leave although that meant they could not prep that section for the lunch menu. There was a certain banter between the waitress/waiters that made the place not only extremely pretty with it's design and smart furniture, but also gave you a confidents that every one would be welcome at this very modern hotel. I also loved being welcomed wit... Read more

Considering Sir Albert is a boutique design hotel the service provided by staff has been truly amazing! As expected the whole hotel is immaculately designed and has taken advantage of the lack of space. I stayed in a Sir Boutique room, which was perfect for me as a solo traveller. Looking at it I feel like two people with luggage would be uncomfortable for a stay longer than a few days as it is quite small. The bathroom amenities available small amazing, and the minibar and other room accessor... Read more

Great stay - exactly what you want in a luxury boutique hotel. Perfect for travelers who like more personalized hotels located in cool neighbourhoods (ie. away from the tourists)....... Context: I spent the weekend in Amsterdam while on a 2 week business trip. I travel frequently and appreciate hotels with good service, comfortable rooms, and quality amenities. I'm also based in Asia, where the quality of hotels is high. I got an upgraded room at Sir Albert (slightly bigger), which made the... Read more

It's a rare thing for me to give top marks. Relative to cost , Sir Albert deserves it. As soon as I walked in I knew this was going to be a very special long weekend. For those of you wanting traditional chain hotels - with big receptions and American breakfasts and queues for the eggs , Sir Albert not for you. It's a beautiful boutique hotel . The staff are professional, cool, chic, knowledgable and ever so respectful. The decor is cool , comfortable, inviting. The rooms , though smallish ar... Read more

Bathroom is not practical at all, lots of doors, few heels and a very noisy air excavator in the shower and wc. Lots of different standby lights visible during the night in the hotelroom. Fantastic asian restaurant on the ground floor, but the very loud club music is not needed for most of the customer who just want to eat and speak ... and is very annoying for hotel guests who want to sleep before 01h00

We loved Sir Albert, from its fantastic location to the always delightful and helpful staff, the lovely room, the excellent breakfast and the quirky sense of humour and fun about everything. Would stay there again in a flash. Just one suggestion for improvement (as well as getting on with furnishing the gym nearby) - towels hooks please!

I absolutely loved my stay in the Sir Albert Hotel and would recommend anyone to stay there. On arrival we were offered complimentary wine and a map of the city. Being slightly out of the main city means it's actually a really peaceful, clean area of Amsterdam to stay in that I wasn't worried about walking around at night. Me and my partner wanted to rent bikes and realised that you can hire bikes from the Sir Albert. In may be a little more expensive than other places to hire bikes but the co... Read more

Me and my partner recently stayed in a deluxe double and we're not disappointed upon arrival in the hotel. The decor is stylish with the odd unusual little item, the staff are very friendly and professional as you would expect with a hotel of this standard. After being shown to our room we cracked our complimentary bottle of champagne and enjoyed all the little gadgets in the room. The room was finished to a very good standard but was a little smaller than I had imagined. The bed in the room was... Read more

Fantastic hotel, beds amazing, great location and staff very helpful. One of the most welcoming. Would stay there again - just not on a Friday! On a Friday the bar downstairs has music playing until 2am. Bass felt/heard on 3rd floor! Did complain but unfortunately no change until it stopped at 2am. I stayed here whilst on a business trip and it was a real shame i couldn't stay in the hotel for longer rather than head to the conference! On arrival we were greeted with Prosecco and chilled water by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The room is everything you could need (although a bit weirdly laid out with no bathroom sink and separate toilet in my room) Both the bed and shower were amazing and the wifi worked fantastically! We booked Sir Albert through Priceline for what a 2-star would have cost us. Amsterdam sure is pricey! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Museumplein. Tram 16 stops just around the corner, and the Albert Cuyp market is on the same street. The location suited our purposes. The rooms were modern and contemporary, and we found the beds adequately comfortable. The studio room is pretty small. A fairly new and hip spot next to a canal. The rooms had a modern feel but tried for the flair, rather than true comfort. The pillows were huge, and the comforter too warm, even with the AC on. Located more in a neighborhood than a tourist haven, the area has an abundance of restaurants, bars, a coffeehouse, and the no.16 tram line. Staff was also helpful with the usual tourist needs.

We'll situated hotel near the no 16 tram stop. Convenient for sightseeing. Rooms a bit pokey and the Sir Albert has signed up for the current trend in extra-dark corridors and bathrooms. We stayed three nights in this hotel. The location is great, close to the museum district. But our room was really tiny. Besides, while it may be a matter of personal taste, we found the hotel style to be pretentious and over-the-top (e.g. very dark, club-like music in the restaurant, etc.).
