This hotel was really great. Very friendly and helpful staff from Tania and her colleague on breakfast to Paul on reception who gave us great information. Rooms were very good is a bit small but it's a city hotel you don't spend too much time in your room. Decor was new and bathroom was a good size. Bed was really comfortable. We had a room at the front overlooking a canal, which was a little bit noisy with traffic, so if you have trouble sleeping maybe bring some ear plugs. Breakfast was buffe... Read more

The hotel was in a fantastic location, close to trams to get into the town centre easily but far enough out to get the real feel for the city. Easy to walk to nearby museum area and lidl is at the end of the street. Check in was quick and simple, staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and simple with everything you need including free wifi, coffee and tea facilities, nice bathroom (bit small but no issues, good shower). View was over carpark and street at the back, nice and quiet. ... Read more

You are only 15 minutes from the museum quarter and from a number of restaurants. Parking is expensive if you need it. Breakfast buffet was very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the tram and the hop on hop off canal bus.

The Ibis hotel is a good stay for a budget trip. The hotel is clean, modern and a stones throw from a number of tram and bus lines. The hotel staff are polite and pleasant. Breakfast is good albeit slightly basic even for a budget hotel. We stayed in a ground floor room just passed reception and were woken frequently by people passing and being loud. I'd recommend staying here but ensure you request a room away from reception.

The Ibis Styles Amstel is a contemporary hotel, making good use of space in a standard (limited) Amsterdam street-house. It is 10 minutes‚?? walk from Rembrantplein and 30 minutes from Central Station, however trams stops are much nearer should you need them. Rooms satisfactorily finished, albeit small, with free Wi-Fi and toiletries as well as tea & coffee making facilities. The shower cubicle space was incredibly limited; the wait for the single elevator did become tiresome at times, so patie... Read more

Very nice hotel with good service and breakfast. Close to the very center of Amsterdam and even closer to a Tram stop. Breakfast was good, room was very nice and tidy! Would do it again. Only downside was the fact that it said free parking in the brochure but when we got there we were very lucky to find a spot and it was 25 euros a day!

I would say this is the smallest room I have ever stayed in whilst staying in a hotel. The lift was not working and I had to climb 3 floors with a very windey staircase to get to my room (with my luggage). The next day was worse in heels down... The room was very clean they left a very nice box of chocolates and considering it was a very hot day the room was cool and the air conditioning was a proper system. There is no way a couple could stay in here unless you were not spending any time at a... Read more

I have now stayed here twice - thought the first time I had been unlucky so decided to give the hotel a second chance. Why would you ever go back to a hotel you were not satisfied with in the first place you may ask? Reason was that my room was facing the street (which is a very busy one) and it was very noisy all night and hard to sleep. The service was great though and the staff very nice. Second time around, I got a room in the basement - yes, away from the street but at 5:30 in the morning... Read more

Slightly out from centre but only a pleasant 15 minute walk to Rembrandtplein. Had a small ground floor twin room. Very clean and functional. Shampoo and shower gels were provided as were tea/coffee. The beds were comfortable and there was minimal noise - surprising for ground floor. Breakfast was simple but fine - meat, cheese, cucumber and tomato, bread, croissants, scrambled/fried eggs, streaky bacon, cereal. Reception very helpful.

Stayed here on a 3 day trip to Amsterdam. Location great 30 second walk to the tram to be connected to city centre or a nice 30 minute walk. The hotel room was clan and comfortable. Major down fall was the fact we had room 402 on the top floor. The staircase up was very narrow and steep. To make things worse we had a large suitcase and a guest with reduced mobility. Normally you could have taken the lift, however the lift was out of order and being repaired on all 3 days. On further digging I ha... Read more

We chose this hotel because its website said that parking lot is available...as we drove there the parking lot is 500 m away and cost 42 Euros/24h. We had big suitcase and had to drag it all the way to the hotel from the parking lot. To make the matters worse...we got a room in the 4th floor and there was no lift. The reception guy was very helpful that he helped us bring our suitcase to our room. But still to go up and down is not a nice experience. This hotel only suitable for very light tr... Read more

This is very late as we travelled in April 2015. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly and very helpful staff. This was our first time in Europe and the clerk was so helpful in providing maps, tips, storing our bags until our room was ready. He was very knowledgeable of the area and the information was very helpful. Our room was fantastic with a view of the canal and the location was perfect. Such a wonderful trip!

Superb location, in line with the Ibis style. Centered on your basic needs, and sleep quality is one of the Ibis point of excellence. No luxury but great attention to the customer. Fair breakfast always included with the price of the room. Excellent value for the relatively low price you pay. Really close to the Heineken Experience, the Cuypmarkt market and and the Museums area. Walking distance from the old town.

I stayed in the Ibis styles with my fiance and sister for three nights and I was so impressed. We were on a short city break and the location of this hotel was ideal. I literally just had to cross the road to get a 10 minute tram into the city centre. The room was very comfy and cleaned everyday. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very friendly. Excellent for a break away with friends.

We were a family with 3 rooms booked. Originally the room allocation included a room in another building that had to be crossed by a fire escape. To be fair this was remedied immediately upon request at booking in. The lift is broken and 3 flights of stairs is hard going when they are very steep then you have to cross buildings using a fire escape gangway. Ridiculous. The hall decor and carpet are shabby. Carpet is stained. There is only powdered milk for tea in the rooms. You are expected to go... Read more

I booked a reservation in this hotel using expedia.com and found a great offer including breakfast. The structure is small (like everything in Amsterdam) but very cosy and functional, the room and bathroom had everything needed, including wifi, and the breakfast was pretty good and various, not to mention the kindness of the receptionist. I believe this place is a nice choice for saving money but also having a good service in a district close to the center.

This was a quick break. The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is accessible from Schipol airport by train and metro. We stayed from Monday to Friday. The location is easy access to all attractions by walking or using the metro which is just minutes away from the hotel. There are local restaurants and bars . There is a great vegetarian restaurant nearby. This hotel provides breakfast buffet with a selection of hot and cold choice. I will definitely recommend and ... Read more

The room was just what I needed for a solo traveller, clean, comfortable and calm. The staff was welcoming and approachable. The wifi was very reliable and the location not far from the main museums nearby and the night lively squares, yet slightly far from the city centre and the red light district. A bike to rent is highly recommended in Amsterdam. I would definitely book this hotel again if I visit again. The breakfast was slightly disappointing. It could have featured more fruits and a wide... Read more
