But what a great hotel it was. the people were so helpful especial I think his name was Rob a sth african guy. Sorry. But we didnt want for anything here. overall it was fantastic! the location was good - just far enough from the main area to get some quiet but close enough to go for a nice walk. Tram stops right out the front of the hotel as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was REALLY good (for a continental breakfast). Overall a great Hotel, highly recommended.

We were booked into this hotel on our instruction '2-3 star not too far from the city centre' so weren't expecting much. Surprise. The lobby entry has a welcoming fire surrounded by lounges and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a quirky but great 3rd floor (attic) room and we really enjoyed our stay. All the staff are most welcoming and the breakfast provided is pretty good too. All this just a hundred yards from the street of seven bridges and about 15 minutes walk fro... Read more

I have no words to describe how excellent the hotel was. I've been there in February for a long weekend with my dad. Breakfast excellent, the room was a little bit small, but really clean. Staff were nice, and me and my dad personally loved the fireplace. The last night we also printed our boarding cards. Excellent hotel.

My partner and I stayed here this month during our 2nd visit to Amsterdam and we LOVED it! The team were great, the boutique hotel was amazing and the location was very central with tram stops located right outside. We stayed in the Loft apartments located next door which were gorgeous and I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back to stay during our next visit as we love Amsterdam and we love this hotel!

Staff are friendly. We had room 101 which is in the side building. Room was quite small and dark but the main issue is its next to the cleaners store cupboard-if you want to have a lie-in you will have constant banging against the door. Having said that no night time noise and great location for trams in all directions. Breakfast was basic but set you up for the day. Room was clean, comfy bed, small bathroom (shower room really). For the money I'm not sure it's worth it.

Desk staff was not friendly, but the bar staff was. I know European accommodations are small, but our "large double" room involved my husband hitting his head on the ceiling when he woke up, us both having to duck a bit in the shower, and me hitting my hips on the sink while in the shower as well. (I'm not that big a lady, either! I fit into airplane seats just fine.) The tiny elevator didn't reach up to our attic floor, so after taking it up we had to then haul our luggage up a steep flight... Read more

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and beds very comfortable - standard rooms quite small and basic but sufficient for a weekend. Bikes available to hire - cycled south out of city along Amstel river to pretty village in countryside. Very close to museum quarter, many cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Hotel provide an excellent city map.

When booking two rooms, we asked for two rooms next to each other as we were travelling with our two teenage children. The advice was: put the request in the online reservation. The day before our trip, I called, and was reassured that "yes, two rooms, one twin, one double, next to each other". On arrival.... yep, you guessed it: two rooms, on different floors! Denial that anyone could have confirmed the rooms next to each other, as "we never guarantee that". "When did you call, as I would have ... Read more

The hotel is well-located, efficient staff with stylish decor. Bedroom was tiny lacking any real floor or hanging space but although 'compact' had what we required for our three night stay. Breakfasts were very good. Nice bar across the road, a choice of tram lines right outside and within a couple of miles of the centre so ideally located. Would certainly stay here again.

Reception desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, offering us advice on where to eat and visit during our stay. The included breakfast was great, a selection of pastries, fruits, cereal etc. The location was fantastic, really easy to get around and very close to some great areas of interest. We would definitely stay again, we really enjoyed our visit.

The hotel is modern style, well location, has few tram lines can go to hotel. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. But my room is tiny and in the basement, we took our luggage through a narrow stair by ourselves. Near the hotel has some good shops and restaurants. I want to come again but other rooms.

Location is very good, lots of good restaurants and cafes around. It's comfortably outside of the tourist filled centre, but still very close to Leidesplein and Rembrandt Square. The staff is very nice and helpful. Especially a quy named Kieran was superb! Breakfast was exceptionally good. The hotelroom was quite small and you could hear noises from the street (there was a tram stop infront of hotel), so remember to bring your earplugs along! The atmosphere of the hotel is very positive. It'... Read more

Very disappointed with our stay. I posted a picture of the room they gave us... Considering that the rate of the hotel is not that low (we paid over 100EUR/nigh), the rooms are in the basement -where you almost can't see anything even with the lights on - and ridiculously small. Apparently, they have 2 kinds of "double rooms": basement and regular doubles. When you book it through a website that is not the hotel's website, it only says "Double room" and you discover the surprise at the hotel. An... Read more

Easy to find and we received a warm welcome. We told the hotel we were visiting Amsterdam for our wedding anniversary and they were kind enough to offer us a free drink at the hotel bar - the chilli and lime G&T is highly recommended! We had a standard room, which is fairly small but more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel generally was very quiet. The location is great - just far away from the main tourist areas to be quiet whilst still being close to everything. It's a... Read more

It's a really nice little hotel. A bit of a walk from the main square and centre but its quiet and clean. Sadly, I had a really small room but it was modern and fresh and the staff were really helpful. Breakfast was good and overall the stay was really pleasant.

This hotel is in a beautiful location, central enough but away from the noise of stag weekends etc. you might find nearer to Dam Square. The reception and dining/bar area is lovely, beautiful ambience with lovely views out to the street to watch the world go by. The rooms are a tad on the small size but the beds are exceptionally comfortable and the shower and toilet facilities clean and super efficient. The staff are fabulous. We were having trouble printing off our boarding passes and the ... Read more

The hotel has a sleek, modern lobby, breakfast area, and lounge. Rooms are small, but very comfortable (our bed was great)‚??though you should be advised that the rooms over the street are noisy whereas the rooms at the back are totally quiet. We had a back corner room on an upper floor and never heard a sound. The staff is really excellent‚??they anticipated our needs, gave us useful information, and were always cheerful and helpful. The location also has many advantages. Even though it‚??... Read more

This was my first time staying for a length of time in Amsterdam and it was definitely my first stay at Hotel V. Upon arrival (9AM) they stored our luggage with a smile. The staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms are absolutely wonderful!! Very caring atmosphere in the hotel. I will not stay anywhere else but Hotel V on my next visit. It is located in the city a 2 minute walk from the city center. Thank you Hotel V Staff for such a pleasant visit. See you all next year!!!
