I had to stay at the Holiday Inn Amsterdam for a business meeting and I have to admit that I enjoyed an unexpected great 2-days stay. I got a renovated room on the 14th floor - the bathrooms are brand new with great and welcoming walk-in showers! The room is very trendy with bright colours and of course with a touch or orange:) The breakfast was perfect!!! After participating a conference I was blown away by the creativity and flexibility of the staff. No question was too much and they managed to fulfill all our requests by being pro-active and flexible. Next to the creativity shown in their F&B offer, the new room was a joy to stay in. I am quiet demanding and critical when it comes to real genuine service but I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

This hotel has set the bar! We had a meeting last week in the Holiday Inn Amsterdam and I was overwhelmed with the attention to detail from the staff. From the welcome in the morning, the fantastic and innovative food items (healthy, local and very tasty!) to their executive rooms with local Amsterdam flavor in the decor! A very big "well done" and we will return to this hotel!

Very friendly and attentive staff and I felt that guests are very welcome any time no matter in the Restaurant, Meeting area or at the reception desk.. I have no hesitation to recommend this Hotel for leisure or Business purpose. I look Forward to my next visit in Amsterdam in this lovely Hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for couple of nights in May 2016. It is walking distance away from a tram and a train which is very convenient. Hotel room is very nice and big enough and the breakfast spread was good. We were able to comfortably visit keukenhof gardens and the city center (about 15-20 mins) from this hotel. Hotel staff was very good and patiently answered all questions I had. We were able to check-in early and were able to leave the luggage at the hotel to pick up later on our check-o... Read more

Check in was very quick, we had a room on the 10th floor. The room was big with a mini bar, tv, desk and chair. There was free wifi throughout the hotel, including the rooms. The location though not that near to the center is still ok as there's tram and train stations nearby (5 min walk). The area is nice and quiet. However, bathroom's not that clean. There's stain on the toilet bowl and bath mat markings on the tub. They can do so much better with the amount you're paying. I've stayed at other Holiday Inn hotels, even the express ones have better and cleaner toilets!

Pros: service, all personnel was very kind and attentive. Very close to metro station as well Cons: rooms were quite tiny, 35min away from city center by metro, linen sheets were dirty, bathtub drain and not working properly and therefore water was not running well.

Terrible, horrific and cold customer service. My child has a portable nebulizer that runs on batteries. The gift shop has not been open since i signed in. Front desk request was 2 double aa batteries, which i offered to buy. Tge response....a map the further accented just how far this hotel is from everything. Stay away from this place, it is in the middle of nowhere and the front desk staff seemed bothered by any questions.

The hotel is a little run down from the outside, floating rubbish in the off-smelling "moat" around it, but all in all can't really complain being a stone's throw from the tram line which can get you to the center in about 20 minutes. I can't fault the reception or the staff, all very attentive and the reception itself is nice. The biggest gripe I have with the hotel is the overall cost, I feel as though close to £100 a night is definitely not worth it (excluding breakfast). And the ?15pp (... Read more

Nice room, good bed and pillows and an adequate service at the reception desk. Parking was outside the hotel and we should pay for it. This was said previously in the hotel description. The hotel receptionist was helpful on check in, able to find me a room for my missing second night and cancel the Novotel across the road, which would have meant moving out for one night and moving back again. Good hotel from Holiday Hotels. It looks like the same around the world with a very close standard service. I liked a lot the breakfast, as well as the ambience of the room. My bad point is about the internet. I think they can work for a better Wi-Fi, specially if you are there for a business trip. Fair price, like others from the series. Highly recommended.

Firstly, the hotel is very nice and in a good location. However, there are a couple of issues, one minor and another rather serious issue. The minor- the prices of items in the minibar are absolutely extortionate. The cost of ONE bottle of water is more than twice the cost of a pack of SIX (same brand, same size) bought elsewhere. That's not just a mega mark-up, that's simply ripping people off. The serious issue- upon check out I cleared the small bill (city tax and a couple of drinks at... Read more

I stayed here for business but would recommend it for pleasure as well as its right by Rai station so central Amsterdam is just 15 minutes on the train as are other parts of the city. It's a typical holiday inn in many ways and the orange decoration might not be to everyone's taste. But rooms are well done out, bed is comfy, staff are friendly and breakfast is not bad. I'll making it my regular business hotel when in Amsterdam

As a business hotel, this hotel is more efficient than cozy, and to sum up: Large rooms, good bed, good elevator capacity, excellent breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located 5 km from the city centre which can appear as remote, however tram #4 is only 3 min walk from the hotel, and with departure every 8 min I found the access to downtown Amsterdam being surprisingly swift and good. If I go back to southern Amsterdam, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

The breakfast choices were varied, the lobby was comfortable as was the bar. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help. From the hotel it's a 5 minute walk to the tram into Amsterdam. The grocery store is around the corner and a small plaza with a drug store and discount store. Nearby are the woods and the quaint village of Amstelveen. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. The housekeeping staff is on a "clean everything" mission. They did not like people sick and... Read more

Actually it's located convenient to the Sloterdijk train station therefore Amsterdam Centraal is 4 minutes by train. This is great.. Water pressure is very low at shower.. There is not safebox in the room and I think this is bad.. There is a very good covered garage but access towards it is very inconvenient. There are not any orientation signs.. Especially GPS devices refer to the back of the hotel where there is a blocked road due to bus station. Staff are helpful enough.. Breakfast is very po... Read more

The hotel is located next to RAI station which makes it very convenient for transportation. (~12' to reach Dam Square by Tram) Clean and comfortable rooms, rich breakfast, free WiFi and the staff were very friendly and at our disposal anytime. Mariska, Sherilyn and Fadly from the Front Desk were very courteous and helpful providing us with city maps and guidance. Will definitely prefer this hotel for our next visit to Amsterdam.

This is a business persons hotel. The suburban location is fine for tourists if it saves some money, but otherwise you'll be disappointed. Other than being close to the tram stop (GVB), there isn't any appeal to staying here. It was clean (bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner) and the staff was polite. Rooms were bigger than what I've encountered in most of my European travels. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it stops serving food at 10 p.m. and I believe closes/stops serving drin...
