We enjoyed the hotel during our first stay in Amsterdam great location to explore the city from and still get time for the many museums. We ventured out for breakfast, Blushing cafe just down the street, as we though the hotels was a little pricey. We did enjoy the breakfast the last day as it was to rainy. We were on the 5th floor hot water and pressure were not the best. Bed was comfortable, lots of closet storage

Friendly staff, clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed. A little noisy, I could hear the neighbours above speak, and the breakfast was not as good as expected. But the location is great, I had a morning run in the Vondel park.

A charming hotel easily accessed from the airport, about 100m from the Airport Express bus-stop. Nice and clean room which would have benefited from a few pegs for overcoats. The breakfast was good, but a little highly priced for the standard.

The standard is barely ok and the breakfast is simple. Funniest part was the checkout where they surprised us with a extra 100 euro for breakfast and city tax. Would never have eaten breakfast there if they had informed us that the breakfast costs the same as a 3 course dinner meal (25 euro). Don't stay here unless you have to.

Due to a misbooking we only got 1 instead of 2 double rooms, but that was our fault. When we arrive, the staff explained how the entire district was fully booked and they only had 1, maybe 2 single rooms left for us at EUR 190 per person, per night. The staff person was very eager to get us signed up on this. This was supposedly 4 stars, but clearly not by Norwegian standards, so we found that price incredibly steep. A quick search online and we found many rooms available and landed a much bett... Read more

Gorgeous hotel in a great location. Close to the Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark, and right next to a tram stop which will take you to Amsterdam Centraal station and the centre of the city. The room was clean, a good size and modern. The street it was based in felt very dutch, and the staff were helpful and polite. We hired bikes from the hotel and that was great fun and very reasonable too! The hotel was one of the cheaper ones we found for our dates, and although it was more than we would usually p... I stayed at the Jan Luyken Bilderberg hotel for 8 days during a business/vacation trip. The location is ideal, being in the area near the Van Gogh, the Stadlijke and the Rijksmusemsl, less than 5 minutes from the tram and bus stops that take you everywhere in this wonderful city. This part of town is quiet and pleasant, a tram car ride away from the more touristy parts of Amsterdam, which to me is a great advantage. It's a fairly small hotel that was likely once a stately home and has the fee... Read more

We stayed for 6 days during July 2016 to enable us to visit the museums and explore Amsterdam. The hotel was adequate for this purpose and the room surprisingly big by European standards. Room maintenance was below par with coffee and other expendibles not replaced and a cracked glass washed and left in the room for the duration. Free WiFi worked well and a definite bonus.

Room size, its quality, furnishing and their quality / standard are unacceptable for a busy business traveller. No coffee / tea making facility, no bottle opener. Broken iron. Despite the lift there were stairs I needed to go up / down. General decor of the room was like something from 80s of the 20th century. Never again.

This hotel was perfectly situated in the museum center and next to the tram stop (#2,5). I was able to go directly to the hotel from the Schipol Airport on the bus (Line 197). Great location and walking distance to all the best museums (Rijks and Van Gogh) in Amsterdam. The only downfall is the current street construction in front and to the side of the hotel.
