We enjoyed the hotel during our first stay in Amsterdam great location to explore the city from and still get time for the many museums. We ventured out for breakfast, Blushing cafe just down the street, as we though the hotels was a little pricey. We did enjoy the breakfast the last day as it was to rainy. We were on the 5th floor hot water and pressure were not the best. Bed was comfortable, lots of closet storage

Friendly staff, clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed. A little noisy, I could hear the neighbours above speak, and the breakfast was not as good as expected. But the location is great, I had a morning run in the Vondel park.

A charming hotel easily accessed from the airport, about 100m from the Airport Express bus-stop. Nice and clean room which would have benefited from a few pegs for overcoats. The breakfast was good, but a little highly priced for the standard.

Very clean and friendly staff, great location from Museums but left a very expensive bottle of champagne in fridge that was not returned even though there was 3 hrs from check out to actually leaving, hope the cleaner enjoyed!!

The standard is barely ok and the breakfast is simple. Funniest part was the checkout where they surprised us with a extra 100 euro for breakfast and city tax. Would never have eaten breakfast there if they had informed us that the breakfast costs the same as a 3 course dinner meal (25 euro). Don't stay here unless you have to.

Due to a misbooking we only got 1 instead of 2 double rooms, but that was our fault. When we arrive, the staff explained how the entire district was fully booked and they only had 1, maybe 2 single rooms left for us at EUR 190 per person, per night. The staff person was very eager to get us signed up on this. This was supposedly 4 stars, but clearly not by Norwegian standards, so we found that price incredibly steep. A quick search online and we found many rooms available and landed a much bett... Read more

From time to time one is fortunate enough to discover the perfect hotel experience. What makes it perfect is not one thing, but the way manny small details elegantly weave in to a total end to end harmonious experience - needless to say the staff are exceptional, they are the weavers.

Staying at Bilderberg hotel was making our trip to Amsterdam a very nice experience. The room was perfect with the balcony to this very quiet street. The staff at the reception were very helpful and kind. IT was also a short way to museums and communications. IT was even a big market on Sunday.

Gorgeous hotel in a great location. Close to the Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark, and right next to a tram stop which will take you to Amsterdam Centraal station and the centre of the city. The room was clean, a good size and modern. The street it was based in felt very dutch, and the staff were helpful and polite. We hired bikes from the hotel and that was great fun and very reasonable too! The hotel was one of the cheaper ones we found for our dates, and although it was more than we would usually p... Really really impressed with the hotel. Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday and they upgraded our room and also left us a bottle of wine and a card for him! Would definitely recommend this hotel to people. Made our stay in Amsterdam perfect!

I stayed at the Jan Luyken Bilderberg hotel for 8 days during a business/vacation trip. The location is ideal, being in the area near the Van Gogh, the Stadlijke and the Rijksmusemsl, less than 5 minutes from the tram and bus stops that take you everywhere in this wonderful city. This part of town is quiet and pleasant, a tram car ride away from the more touristy parts of Amsterdam, which to me is a great advantage. It's a fairly small hotel that was likely once a stately home and has the fee... Read more

This is the find in Amsterdam. Quiet street parallel to the best upscale shopping in the city, and in the Museum district. Fantastic service and hospitality. Nice wine bar and lounge. Provides ticket purchase to local museums to save time. Highly recommended.

Nice small hotel in a great location. Located a short walk from museums, shopping and restaurants. Room was adequate ( you are not there to sit in your room). The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful . They will give you numerous options for restaurants , etc. Breakfast was more than adequate ( although the bacon was always over done).

Very nice room with a balcony close to the museums and very nice, helpful and polite staff at the reception desk and in the restaurant. The locked entrance after 10pm makes you feel even safer but even in general: walking around in the evening you don't feel unsafe.

We stayed at the Bilderberg Jan Lukenstraat for three nights in early June and recommend it highly for many reasons. The reservation process directly with the hotel was handled in a freiendly and competent mannyer. Our room was lovely just what we expected. The front desk staff were very helpful with restaurant reservations, selling us tram day passes, tickets to the museums. It is just a couple of blocks to the #2,#5 tram stop which took us everywhere we wanted to go. It is also just a couple o... Read more

Enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel. Great proximity to museums but also easy walk or tram ride to city. The staff were very helpful with advice and directions. Also easy access to airport express bus which only cost 5 euros each rather than a 30 euro taxi to airport.

We stayed for 6 days during July 2016 to enable us to visit the museums and explore Amsterdam. The hotel was adequate for this purpose and the room surprisingly big by European standards. Room maintenance was below par with coffee and other expendibles not replaced and a cracked glass washed and left in the room for the duration. Free WiFi worked well and a definite bonus.

Room size, its quality, furnishing and their quality / standard are unacceptable for a busy business traveller. No coffee / tea making facility, no bottle opener. Broken iron. Despite the lift there were stairs I needed to go up / down. General decor of the room was like something from 80s of the 20th century. Never again.

This was our second multi-day visit at the Hotel Jan Luyken, and we will plan to stay there again on our next visit to Amsterdam. The hotel is in a great location on a quiet street in the Museum quarter. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the room was well-appointed and comfortable. There is no hotel parking, but there is secure underground parking just a couple of blocks away (EUR 50 for overnight).

This hotel was perfectly situated in the museum center and next to the tram stop (#2,5). I was able to go directly to the hotel from the Schipol Airport on the bus (Line 197). Great location and walking distance to all the best museums (Rijks and Van Gogh) in Amsterdam. The only downfall is the current street construction in front and to the side of the hotel. I didn't recognize the hotel since the entire street was completely under construction. When I arrived to the Bilderberg Hotel Jan Luy... Read more

The location was perfect for our trip. The staff was great. The room was clean and very comfortable. There is no parking at the hotel. Public parking is the area is expensive (40 Euro/day). An alternative is to park at the Olympic stadium for 8 Euro/day including a public transport pass.

Location: Great location in the "Paris" part of town (as opposed to the "Las Vegas" part of town). A stones throw to the Museum, a short walk to the canal belt, a longer walk (but still a walk) to Centrum. Don't hesitate to get the tram here from Amsterdam Centraal Station - it'll only take you a few extra minutes to get the tram than to take a Taxi or Uber. Hotel: The common areas are really nice. We worked from the lounge for quite a few hours and it was comfy. Beer and drinks available f... Read more

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the museums and galleries and the good reviews on Trip Advisor. Also because it was near the bus / tram stop to and from the airport. I did need help to find it as at present the exterior isn't the same as in the pictures due to the road outside being all dug up. Not sure what's happening as I didn't see any workmen while I was there. The room was comfortable and very clean, we didn't have breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on that. We did eat ...
