The hotel is not bad, but definitely not as good as it pretends to be. The rates are fairly good for the rooms, but the rooms offer bare minimum. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows were very heavy and hard. Perhaps we are spoiled by the pillow menus of the Fairmonm hotels. Tea and coffee selection in the rooms is disappointing. The bar and the restaurant are greatly overpriced, yet have very limited selection and unfriendly staff. The WiFi connection is very poor. The cleaning staff routi... Read more

Excellent location, 5 mins to trams for city centre, 10 mins to train for airport (€5). Comfortable and clean fairly large bedrooms. Robes and slippers for both of us and L'Occitaine toiletries. Free toothpaste and toothbrushes from reception if you forget yours. Friendly and helpful staff; Had problem with the safe that they attended to quickly. Breakfast was good, full English, full continental with many cheeses, meats and salmon, breads & jam, juices, water & Prosecco! Yes it was €18 but ... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights as part of an organized tour. The hotel is somewhat dated, tired furniture and we had silver fish in the tub. Bed was OK, but the towels were scratchy. We only had breakfast, nice buffet style with plenty of choices. I think we could have done better on our own, but the tour offered this as our only option.

Three night stay in exceptionally clean and modern hotel. Hotel situated in nice area. Staff were very helpful and hard working. Probably the nicest group of people I have encountered during my many years of travel. 15 minute tram ride from centre (5) Just an excellent weekend topped off with a elo concert. Only negative was the cost of the breakfast 23€ but you can't have everything. Best tip I would give is to buy a ticket at the desk for the public transport which is exceptional. Covering ... Visiting Amsterdam by car it's a problem to find parking but the hotel dealt with it seamlessly and at reasonable cost and we parked right outside. It's a nice hotel and the staff were very helpful. We enjoyed walking into the centre of the city but also used the nearby tram, which was fun. The only negative (and hence only rated average) was the breakfast service which was awful. We did complain about it (unusual for us) and the hotel took it very seriously. We would definitely stay here again.
