I would have given this hotel a 4/5 rating if not for the horrible front desk employee at check in, which completely ruined my experience. Arriving around 9.45 am after an exhausting drive we were told that we couldn't check in until 3 pm. When my husband informed whether there'd be a possibility for an earlier check in we were repeatedly told that many other people were waiting for a room and the official check-in time is 3 pm. Sure, this can happen but from a 5* hotel I'd expect to be offered ... Read more

We chose Amsterdam for a weekend break at this hotel It is situated near to the tram network which takes you to the heart of the city The hotel is comfortable with excelllant cheerful staff who are prepared to go the extra mile to make the stay a pleasure like offering an umbrella when the weather was not so good.. The only disappointment was the cost of the breakfast but we found an excellant cafe just 10 minutes walk away so all was ok!

As this is a 5 star hotel I expected a bit better. It isn't bad, but is a little bit worn in places and needs some renovation. The facilities are OK, the staff are very friendly and helpful although the service was rather erratic and slow at times. The location is ideal for driving to from out of town and then taking the trams into the city centre. It is in a good area with some nice shops and cafés nearby. The cooked breakfast was not very good. It was overcooked and most of the ingredients w... Read more

Excellent hotel in Amsterdam. Very well situated, close to the tram that takes you straigh on to the city center in few minutes. It has also a private parking, so that is very usefull when arriving by car: you do not need to get the center of the city by car, which is quite complicated in a city like Amsterdam. The hotel is very quiet and is located in a very quiet place. The room service is very good and the room is very comfortable, specially the bed, whith a really good matelas.

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. Having never been to Amsterdam previously I had no idea where to book. I did know that I didn't want to be it the crazy, busy downtown area, but within easy reach. The Bilderberg Garden Hotel was perfect for this. There are 2 different tram stops within 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. With a 24 hour pass it's a breeze to jump on trams, busses or ferries & get around the whole city. You can dip in and out of the various areas and return home to the tr... Read more

I stayed here for 3 nights , having been to Amsterdam many a time I found this hotel the best. Clean comfortable rooms, brilliant service nothing was to much , really enjoyed my time here. My only complaint was the bath towels in the room were on the small side and a coffee maker would have been nice instead of a kettle.

Interconnecting rooms 1001-1002 for 3 guests, 5 days (4 nights), only single bed available: there are two doors to separate the rooms but one of them (from 1001 to 1002) did not lock well; there is a lobby for (I suppose) employers next to the 1001 and its door it's a bit noisy. Furthermore, I'd suggest to renovate the rooms by eliminating the moquette, the old (?) tiles in the bathroom (no bidet) and the old room-lock with something more hygienic, modern end eco-friendly (you could save energy... The hotel is located in one of the quietest and most beautiful area of Amsterdam. The staff was very helpful and friendly (except the ones in the restaurant). The rooms are clean and big enough for 2 people.

A nice hotel in a decent area, friendly helpful staff but don't think the rooms are 5*, in the UK the hotel would be a standard 4*. Clean though and nice breakfast. Would recommend. Close to a canal and short taxi ride or walk to centre of Amsterdam.

Carpet should be replaced. The hotel rates are very expensive to have outdated carpet. Air conditioner controls in the room should be updated along with refrigerant. Hotel is very clean and staff is great, but minor upgrades needed in order for the customer to feel like they are staying in a 5 star hotel. King mattress was not level. Not a big deal for me, but it was noticeable and should be changed.

The hotel is relatively near the airport and a short walking distance to the tram stop that goes to the city centre. The breakfast was very satisfying with a variety of cheese options (as should be expected) and other typical continental breakfast option. The room was comfortable although when I checked in, it smelled a bit of smoke and realized the window was open (probably to let the smoke out). The concierge was helpful and provided reliable information. I was even able to buy a tram ticket f... Read more

Pros: Great location in one of the nicest neighborhoods. Staff is nice and friendly. The restaurant is amazing. My wife loved the toiletries. Cons: The sink in the bathroom was clogged. We had to ask 2 times to be fixed (first the cleaning lady, then at the reception)... and still it was partially done. Overall, the room was clean, but there was some dust. They were out of toothpaste when we asked for one.

Small little hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Was in Amsterdam for business and checked in for two days. Location: not exactly in the middle of everything but in a quaint little neighborhood instead. Room: clean and comfortable Wifi: free and good speed Service: not fantastic. They got my booking wrong and I was told that they need time to speak to different colleagues to get it corrected. However, no confirmation for the next two days until I asked when I was checking out. Not recommended u... Read more

I loved this hotel. The rooms were large, clean, and beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very helpful with giving advice as to where to visit, and how to get there. They even taught me a little Dutch. The hotel is surround by beautiful, large, expensive homes, and it's right across the street from the historic Hilton where John Lennon and Yoko Ono stayed on their honeymoon.

It's a good property. Quite basic but solves the purpose of the visit. The property is clean and has spacious rooms. The front desk is very helpful and always welcome u with a smile. Dam square is a distance away but loads of trams to connect u to the main hub

It is not a 5 star hotel! Staff seem to prioritise phone calls even in the middle of checking us in. The room decor needs updating. The photos used on their website give a false impression of the hotel. Overall, It is a 3 star hotel feeling.

I recently stayed with my wife and another couple for vacation . Very nice hotel in a great location . We arrived in a taxi and loaded our 6 bags onto a hotel dolly . Once in the lobby the receptionist said we usually do that ! Rooms were nice but not at the 5 star level . Staff was very friendly and helpful . Bartender was exceptional --- he allowed us to celebrate our anniversary in the outdoor lounge and drink French champagne we bought for the occasion . He could not have been any nicer -- n... Very Friendly, Dutch owned and managed hotel. Decor a little out of date, but the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable . Delicious breakfast each day, and the front desk was incredibly friendly. They helped with directions, sold tram tickets, museum tickets, called taxis, and helped with whatever else we needed. We ate one night in the restaurant , and the food was excellent. We would definitely return.

Me and my husband stayed here 2 years ago and found that we liked it because it was quiet and out of the main Amsterdam. However when we returned, both mornings we were woke up early- 8am by either a noisy machine fixing something on the hotel or men outside our doors fixing a ceiling. We were most looking forward to a quiet morning as we rarely get them at home. When I talked to the receptionist about the noise they weren't helpful and didn't provide any alternative or anything to reassure us a... Read more

This was a very nice overall hotel. Not at the top of the line but the hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice and very comfortable. It is convenient to the city via tram, taxi or uber and the people are very nice. I understand the restaurant is fantastic but never had an opportunity to use it.
