What a lovely hotel. I stayed here with a group, including myself and my partner, immediately before and after trekking to Everest Base Camp. When we arrived the style of the hotel was beautiful and the staff are so helpful, they can't do enough to please you. As we stayed before and after our trek we had 2 different rooms. The first was very spacious with a balcony and a shower unit in the bathroom, where I had an excellent shower. The 2nd had an in-bath shower, and to say the water was tepid ... Read more

It was a good stay in this hotels as there is a good parking area . The rooms are cleans and the hotel too is well maintained. The swimming pool is also clean and there is a great use of Nepalese Handicrafts in the furniture store out there.

We moved here on a work trip and spent 3 nights. It is not luxury but it is adequate if you are on a lower budget. The staff were excellent and always helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms of good size. Shower temperature varied but I always managed a shower. There were a few Mosquitos I my bathroom but none bit me! The breakfast was basic but ok. The pool wasn't super inviting and the garden nothing special. This is a heritage hotel with traditional architecture. It is I a reasonable... Read more

This hotel is tucked away off the main road in Kathmandu which means it's relatively quiet but that is pretty much all it has going for it. In general it's dated, well worn around the edges and in need of an overhaul ! It's OK for a one or two night stay if you're in transit but if you can stay elsewhere, I would.

Pool, garden, outside dining, nice breakfast buffet. Good representation of Nepali art and architecture. Staff not as warm and welcoming as Hotel Tibet which I prefer. Good location in Lazimpath near Radisson but much less $$$.

Located quite near to the more famous Thamel street where you can basically get everything. You may walk or get a taxi to get there as restaurants and shops are quite limited in this area. However, this place offers a quieter environment. The open space, bright setting and the heritage look as you arrive is definitely the most welcoming feature of this hotel premise. We enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights. The rooms are big and spacious with all the basic amenities. The staffs were as charming a... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights and had 2 different rooms in opposites sides of the hotel. The room above reception was very basic and the bathroom had a very strong urine odour in it. The room did not feel clean and the rug and phone in particular were very grubby. We were told that wifi was chargeable in this room. The other room was the opposite side of reception and was slightly better. Wifi was free in this room despite it being the same rate. A male member of staff let himself into our room wi... Read more

Staff was not friendly; at first when we arrived in the morning, they told us to wait for an hour before the room was available, when we asked 1.5h later, they said it would take another hour. No excuses whatsoever. We asked for a room with a bathtub (since we just came back from EBC), but apparently there was no such room available. Breakfast was really bad; tasteless and not fresh. Every morning we got woken up by a rooster around 5.30 am, even with closed windows and earplugs. Also, staff sta... Read more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Manslu. All staff were very helpful and welcoming. The location itself was quiet but only moments from a bustling shopping street Lamzipat and easy walk to Thamel. The reception area and the adjacent huge covered outdoor space were wonderful relaxing places to rest and spent time with fellow travelers. Fellow travelers loved the pool. I stayed both before and after trekking. Both room were comfortably appointed. Initially I thought the beds were hard but I ... Read more

We stayed here for 3 days before and 3 days after our trek to Gokyo lakes and EBC. The hotel was very clean and tidy with an excellent covered outdoor lounge/bar area. The swimming pool looked very clean, although we didn't actually use it. Good variety at breakfast which started very early and finished late (6 till after 10am). Drinks a little bit expensive compared to the local bars, but you are in a hotel. Location is off of the main road so it is nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly ... Read more
