Our one night stay at the Hilton Windhoek was great. Great central location, amazing room and great food. We paid for the local buffet dinner where we were able to try some staple Namibian food like mopani worms and the complimentary breakfast in the morning had nice variety and great food. The Sky Bar was a great location to have a drink at night and look out upon Windhoek

Let me start with the positive aspect in that the front desk staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet is good but that's where it ends. The general pace of service is very slow, try waiting half an hour for a glass of sparkling wine and a cocktail at the roof bar to hunting down a waitress for coffee at breakfast. If you are an HHonours guest you will probably not find about the benefits you are entitled to until you leave including the free internet service which is very intermittent. ... Read more

The Hilton is located in the CBD of Windhoek surrounded by government offices. We were staying on a HH Points stay & the staff were welcoming & efficient. We broke the coffee machine in the lounge but the attendant was happy to get us some elsewhere. The room was business modern decor with a small, private rooftop garden. Very nice. But I would be amiss if I didn't mention the room layout. It is hard to describe but there is no privacy in the main part of the bathroom. The shower is enclos... Read more

As others have said, very nice rooms but such an odd bathroom arrangement. You can tell that it was carefully thought out, but it must have been a single person who did so! Generous breakfast buffet. Very competent staff particularly the front desk and the young man hosting the breakfast room.

The hotel itself is nice enough and is very well located in Windhoek. When we arrived, our rooms were not ready despite it being two hours after check-in time. The staff failed to address this in any meaningful way despite numerous complaints. Service in the hotel is generally slow and the staff appear overwhelmed and poorly trained. Stayed here one night after arriving in Windhoek. We had three rooms and all of us very much enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. Excellent Hotel and Service. Catering was well Prepared and chefs are very friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again whether it be business or holiday. I would have like to experience more but my stay was short.

We needed after a week Etosha some luxury. We found it at the Hilton. We did some shoppings for presents in Windhoek for our children and family. The Hilton was the perfect location in the center of the city with all malls in the vicinity. The Hotel is clean, has an excellent service, but the food is mediocre.

This hotel lives up to the international Hilton standard. It is more expensive than other accommodation in the city but the quality of accommodation and service as well as the location of the hotel is worth it.

I stayed one night on the 28th of august. It is probably the best hotel in Windhoek. Centraly located . You can visit the capital of Namibia just walking from the hotel. I suggest to take a vew of Windhoek from the roof where you have a nice bar and a swimming pool.

The accommodations and hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. There was a good variety of food at the restaurants and the other amenities, i.e. rooftop pool, gym and spa made for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the Windhoek area.

I was pleased with the reception and friendliness of the staff from the front desk to the breakfast and in dinning personnel. I have a month and a half baby and the staff was very understanding and helpful. Beside the poor internet wi-fi connection quality, overall this was a good experience.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic service, fantastic food!! In the heart of Windhoek, very centrally located. Roof top bar with most fantastic sunset views over the city! Will most definitely be back! Night light in toilet means you don't need to switch on lights at night and battling to get back to sleep. FIRST hotel ever I have been to where there is a conveniently located plug next to bed for phone or laptop charging. Enough light at bathroom mirror for ladies to make up with even a make up mirror. ... Read more

Stayed 2 nights after arrival in Namibia and one night before departing again. Nice comfortable rooms. Nothing negative. Enjoyed the sky-bar and the pool on 9th floor, but as always and everywhere it was annoying to see people occupying sun beds and chirs by putting their towles down and not using them.

positive: -downtown location -very friendly staff negative: -run down rooms although only 5 years old -bathrooms have no doors, you can watch your travel companion walk out of shower or brushing teeth etc. while you are in bed or watch TV. when bathroom lights switched on at night you have light in whole room - dirty plastic flower in bathroom is only decoration, even in "diplomatic suite" 600 - windows inside the room very dirty, rain running from ceiling at window inside the room -windows c... We stayed at the Hilton twice, once arriving in Namibia and the night prior to departure. To say the least, we would have expected more from a hotel of this reputation and size. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed but not well maintained. Doors need to be slammed shut for the locks to close. The staff was very friendly, the concierge took care of dinner bookings and transportation which was super helpful, yet compared with other hotels we visited in Namibia - and rated recently- we wouldn... The hotel is well located with the whole city centre within walking distance. The building is just a few years old, but one shouldn't look to closely if everything is in good shape. The room was quite big with an open bathroom and a comfortable bed, but without slippers and a bathrobe. Wifi is free for members of the Hilton loyalty programme and worked well at all times. I liked the rich breakfast buffet as well as the rooftop bar that gives a great view over the city. Some staff members were n... Read more

We stayed for a week at the Hilton Hotel. I really loved our stay. The room was spacious and lovely with a view of the city. We upgraded to a deluxe room after we went to view it. Little bit more space and a free standing bath. My absolute favorite in the room was the chair, that you can just sink into and relax after a long day out. The bed is King size. The pool area at Sky bar is very relaxing and trendy furniture. Beautiful views over the city from there. The breakfast was the best we had i... Read more

This hotel is modern, the room architecture and fitting is good, not my style that is contemporary. This notwithstanding, the waiter service, dining and meals are nothing short of outstanding. Choice and freshness of meals, wide range at breakfast and a touch of authentic local foods enhances the experience. I would stay at the Hilton just to enjoy the meals that are not just generous but fresh and healthy!

Arriving on a Thursday at 14hoo only to be told that rooms were not ready is annoying? The beds as per usual were very comfortable and the usage of space for the bathrooms was excellent. A bit disappointed with the lack of maintenance in the rooms. There was free wifi.. The Hilton breakfasts are excellent and should not be missed. Ample parking for all. Staff at the Skybar were very helpful and the pool area well furnished and a good way to spend an hour or two.

We have spend the first and the last night of our vacation at the Hilton Windhoek. The rooms are spacious (executive room) and we really enjoyed the roof top pool. The staff was very friendly and we would stay here again. There was just one I unpleased thing. The receptionist organized a taxi to a restaurant and told us the price would be around 70 NAD. When the driver arrived she talked to him and we paid the recommended price. On our way back the price was only 20 NAD. Both were registered tax... Read more

Apparently the best in town, despite having all the trappings of a Hilton, I was disappointed to find bedrooms (stayed in both a standard and Deluxe) had worn furniture (broken bedside cabinets, stained chairs); the beds were really uncomfortable; check in and out was painfully slow and not particularly welcoming. Breakfast was great, though - lots of choice and good quality. Food at the rooftop bar was also really tasty, and the service there was helpful and friendly.

The chain of Hilton hotels around the world are famous very popular. I booked a 3 night stay at Hilton Windhoek in Namibia and it was a big big disappointment. I could call it a desastre if we take into account that we are talking about "the Hilton hotel". Let first give you the good side of it. The hotel is well located in the city center which is a positive aspect. Another positive thing is the hotel name which can make you feel posh when talking to your friend. Well that is all about positi... Read more

They made a special arrangement for us as a surprise as they knew it was our anniversary. We have just been astonished and overwhelmed when we entered our room and found the special surprise.
