Sandro and his staff are so friendly, I can highly recommend this riad! Felt welcomed and at home. And it's wonderfully quiet even when you are right in the centre of things. Service is tiptop. The staff will help you organize a cab if you need one and they also advice you where to go, especially also places that aren't tourist traps(which I despise). Overall it's a wonderful experience. I'll go there anytime again.

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at Riad Azoulay. The place is gorgeous and calm; a true oasis in the Medina. We enjoyed our suite, and spent a lot of time in the beautiful rooftop lounging areas. The food is outstanding, we ate breakfast there every day, dinner once and lunch twice. Above all, what made our trip excellent was the service at Riad Azoulay. Massimo and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They really cared that we have a great time in Marrakech. We consulted w... Read more

Our recent three night stay at Riad Azoulay was simply wonderful. Entering through the small door, you receive a warm welcome from the staff and can begin to savour the calm and relaxing atmosphere forgetting the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh outside. The Riad is a lovely place to stay. It's quiet and very comfortable, and our suite was wonderful. The staff are equally as wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfa... Read more

Stayed for 4 nights in May 2016. Couldn't fault this Riad at all. Once you walk through the front door you are greeted by the peace & quiet & the amazing mint tea! The staff are what make this place. Will do anything for you at the drop of a hat. The hotel staff organised hammans, a day excursion to the Atlas Mountains, transfer to & from the airport & guided us around on our first night. After that they give you a phone to call them at anytime if you get lost. The Riad is located in the spice ... Read more

Excellent accommodation very centrally located and the staff were always friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone who visits Marrakech. Don't forget to visit the terrace and have a quiet drink in the evening

We recently stayed here for 3 nights and thought it was a lovely place. We were a little disappointed in our room and were moved to the largest suite they had, just outstanding! Radi (sp) was very helpful. It looked like a sheik's bedroom & there was no extra charge. The beds are very firm but we found this in Spain also. The staff was very friendly and helpful as finding your way to the town center was a little challenging, a 10-15 minute walk, they arranged for a guide & taxi's as needed. They... Read more

This is my second time staying at Riad Azoulay, and safe to say the service and surroundings continue to be exceptional. A tranquil haven in the heart of Marrakech, it offers a break from the wonderful madness of the city. The interior is stunning, and the staff go above and beyond to facilitate your every need. I'm sad to have left but will undoubtably be coming back.

We are a family of four and rented the Suite Royale at Riad Azoulay for a five night visit in Marrakech. We loved the Riad, the staff, the accommodations - everything was just perfect! The place is immaculately kept and the staff could not be more accommodating. Everything from our last minute meal requests (which turned out to be some of our best during our whole visit) to setting up tours and reservations was really handled just perfectly. We will definitely stay here again if/when we retu... Read more

Riad Azoulay is just sublime. Refurbished by host / architect Sandro, the interior is stunning with much of the old material and construction restored, with some faithful additions and mod cons. Co-host Massimiliano makes the stay seamless with anything that needs organising. Then there are the lovely staff. Younis and the crew are amazing. Advice, directions, attentiveness, patience and great conversations. Breakfasts are great, however make sure you have a few dinners too, the in house chef ... Read more

I stayed at Riad Azoulay for four nights while visiting with my sister, which was a great experience. The Riad is well hidden in the Jewish Quarter close to Palace El Badi and a short walking distance, app 15 min, from the grand place Djeema El Fna. A perfect starting point for walking and exploring Marrakech. The communication with the Italian owner Massimiliano prior to arrival was smooth and the whole team were extremely kind and service minded going out of their way to make our stay as pleas... As we cam into the Medina our car stopped at the square, we wondered why? Then we saw someone come from the Riad to take us there. He had another man with a cart to take our luggage which we were scared about at first but the man told us it was safe. We walked into the square into the spice market. We walked quite a bit and were scared about where we were going. We went in and took a right, a left at the end and then the first left from there where we came upon a small door with Riad Azoulay wri... Read more

A quaint Riad within the Medina - spent 2 nights here had an absolutely fantastic time. Stayed in an extremely well done room - beware no TV. The service within the Riad is like home - they have a fantastic cook, however you need to tell them in the morning if you are planning to have dinner. The food is excellent but over priced. Unless you are a huge fan of experiencing local culture - would recommend stay in a more modern hotel outside the old city and come visiting the square / souk . As a p... Read more

Luxurious experience in a beautifully decorated riad with attentive staff who couldn't be more helpful. The highlight of the accommodation in which we stayed in Morocco. There's a danger that you won't want to leave!

Thanks to reviews on TripAdvisor I selected Riad Azoulay and what a good choice. Make sure you get them to organise the transport to or from the rain or airport. You need their assistance to locate the Riad down the small streets. The staff are helpful friendly and available. We had the Sultana suite which served my wife and our two kids 9 and 12. It is right at the end if the small pool. The pool was very welcome in the mid year heat. My wife did a cooking class here where she went to the mark... Read more

If you dream about staying in an exotic Riad, that is private and tranquil, where the amazing aromas from the kitchen permeate the air outside, where the service is wonderful and the spice markets, a stones throw away, where you could relax all day, take a refreshing dip every so often, enjoy an amazing breakfast on the roof, drink fresh peppermint tea at your whim, indulge in a cooking lesson, enjoy a massage or Hamman, do yourself a favour! We stayed here 3 nights during a recent trip through Morocco. We had the "Syrian" room on the 1st floor. Superb place, honestly one of the best I have ever stayed in. The staff (Reda, and team) were great. The little swimming pool is a life saver at the end of a hot day in the souks ;-) I strongly recommend you give this place a try. The price is very reasonable considering the level of comfort, location etc.

I found this place by reading other people's comments on Trip Advisor, and they weren't wrong. This Riad is beautiful to look at, the staff are amazingly attentive and helpful. The Riad is within the old city walls so just a few seconds walk to the shops and restaurants. We both agreed we would definitely go back there.

We stayed for three days here. Really the best riad of our Morroco trip. Very tasteful, beatiful rooms and the best breakfast so far. We also liked the location of the riad in the old Mellah of Marrakech. The two hosts are nice and perfect. We sure will come back one time. The only thing is the Muezzin shanting in the morning around the corner, but thats Morocco

From the hot bustling seemingly chaos that is Marrakesh step through the small wooden doors into the tranquillity of Azoulay. Like an oasis in the middle of a desert you are met with the peaceful sound of trickling water and occasional tweets of birds. Feel welcomed and treated like royalty, fabulous food, stylish rooms, nothing is too much trouble, just relax and enjoy. (Do take up their offer to be picked up as, like the rest of Marrakesh, all the best places are buried in the myriad of stree... Read more
