we didn't stay at this hotel, but ate here twice. The first time we had lunch sitting by the small plunge pool which was beautiful, so tranquil. Lunch was fabulous and Muhammed the waiter was a really fantastic guy. he was so friendly and chatty it was like going for lunch with an old friend. He was really proud of the hotel and showed us a room and the rooftop sun area. The actual hotel looked lovely. After lunch we booked a table for the following evening, our last meal. We were not disappoint... Read more

The last day/night before my departure I stayed at Le Caspien, where I had a half board booking. For the friendly reception and fabulous food, it couldn't have been a better choice. The room, however, was poky and only the balcony somehow compensated for it.

Just back from 5 days in Marrakech and ended up eating here 3 days for lunch because it was just so good. The setting is lovely, particularly outside by the pool. Gorgeous white table cloths and well laid out tables. The service is great, the staff are exceptional and a couple of waiters even remembered us from a couple of years ago. The menu is varied and the food is delicious. Portions are large so we were always very full but managed to square in a dessert on occasion. Wine list was var... Read more

Located about 15 minutes walk from the Jardins de Majorelle and around 25 minutes walk from the Place Jemaa Al Fnaa the Caspien is in a quiet street near the Gueliz shopping centre. The Hotel itself is clean and well-decorated with distinctively Moroccan details. Breakfast is fine with a variety of European and Moroccan foods on offer. The staff are really the stars of the show here, friendly and attentive. Great restaurant too!

Great location in Guilez. Quite a distance from the medina but everything you need near you. Comfortable, clean rooms, OK breakfast, airport transfer, helpful staff. Safe feeling neighbourhood. Nice terrace and lively pool area. Would happily stay there again.

Le Caspien was perfectly situated in the cool Gueliz neighbourhood of Marrakech. From here, it is a 10 minute walk to the Marjorelle gardens - you couldn't get lost finding it even if you tried. The Carre Four shopping mall is also a short walk away. Getting to the Medina by taxi is very simple - remember to negotiate a price with the driver before you get in. I was with a group of 5 people and we paid no more than 50 dirhams. If you taking a taxi back to the hotel and can't explain where it is,... Read more

This hotel was booked by our tour. Owner decided not to allow our group to use credit cards for payment but forgot to tell all his staff. He was nothing short of patronizing/rude. Our very small room was extremely noisy as the 2 clubs next door closed very late. Cars roared up and down the street continuously. They then ran out of tea bags. No apologies. Just No tea!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The first night was with a tour and the second night was on my own booking. The lovely reception lady had no problem with this. Our second night was on half board and the menu for this was quite good. We also ate in the restaurant on the first night and the extensive menu was very good. Breakfast was also better than average. Location was OK with a short walk to some modern shops and a supermarket. We walked both ways to the square but you probably would not do this ... Read more

Having stayed there in March and had a lovely time we rebooked for June requesting the same room and being assured that this was ok, we looked forward to our stay. What a contrast... we didn't get the same room, we were given one overlooking the main road and the air conditioning wasn't working, 42 degrees outside. Complained and after much persistence was moved to another room - no balcony, water leaking from the bathroom into the bedroom, door lock was faulty and the room was right above bui... Read more

Hotel Le Caspien is lovely. Brilliant roof space - nice cold shower up there to cool down. Pool is small but just enough to cool down. Food is great and reasonably priced. Room just right size with a small balcony to sit out on (rooms at the back of the hotel are best). Walking distance of all the main attractions. It is Ramadan at the moment-we have had no problems being served food or drink whilst out and about. We are still here waiting for our taxi back to the airport, catching last minute s... Read more

Situated a twenty minutes walk from the main square and market this is an ideal place to stay for exploring this city. The rooms are a good size, clean and well appointed..... those with a balcony are great for catching up on travel laundry. The restaurant has a large menu at good prices and the swimming pool is a welcome addition in the heat. Luggage storage is also available at no extra cost.

We got there on a Friday night then the nearest cash machine ate my card, but the hotel changed some cash for us. The staff were fantastic couldn't fault them at all, we went during Ramadan but they weren't grumpy as you might imagine, they didn't have a problem with serving drinks etc. but they did disappear for 30 mins so they could eat at sunset. Our room was 203 and on the front, was a bit noisy at night but not too much of an issue, the room was kept spotlessly clean and new towels each day... Read more

Stayed here while traveling through Morocco with my 2 nieces. We loved this hotel. It was so hot during the day, that we spent our time inside in the midday to beat the heat. weather it was sitting in the lobby having delicious mint tea and cookies or lounging in the pool, we were well taken care of. The staff was very attentive. Not to mention, the hotel is beautifully decorated.

I stayed here for a week, half board, in mid June - so during Ramadan. I stayed with a friend so had a twin room with probably the comfiest bed I've ever had in a hotel. We opted for a room at the back as suggested and had a small balcony which was fine, and it was very quiet. My only (minor) complaint would be that there wasn't a fridge in the room but buying cold water from the bar at 20dh was no real hardship. Our stay in May at Hotel le Caspien was wonderful - a very clean, well organised hotel with friendly staff and the best breakfast I have experienced anywhere I have travelled. My husband and I also enjoyed dinner at the hotel on two nights and found the food wonderful and inexpensive. Our tour guide Rachid from the company Experience Morocco booked us into the hotel and arranged our transfers - extremely organised. I would recommend the hotel and tour company Experience Morocco to anyone.

A comfortable hotel, modern but still retaining some character. Rooms were pretty spacious and were clean and well-maintained. Good location for amenities and cafes etc., and an easy walk to the Majorelle Gardens. There is a supermarket in the nearby shopping complex for cheap water, snacks, beers etc. The pool is small, just a plunge pool, so this hotel is a better choice if you plan on being out and about most of the time. I was disappointed by the reception, they could/would not help us book a bus, we had to go to the bus terminal in advance to organize tickets. We stayed 4 nights at Le Caspain before and after our intrepid tour. It was certainly our highlight of accommodation in Morocco. The bedrooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. It is close to a supermarket and within walking distance to the medina. We had to move rooms once to be away from the front street. That gave us a more peaceful nights sleep. I was able to borrow a hairdryer and change money as well. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for one night as part of a tour. This hotel gets an average rating from me because I was brushing my teeth when a roach came out of the sink. Ewww. Also rooms are very small. Breakfast offered more than just bread, but the food was not good. Hotel is kind of far from the medina, and it was very challenging for me to get a decently priced taxi to the medina.
